Disappointed!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first arrived at Pine Cove 202, we thought that the property was just in desperate need of some TLC....the walls were scuffed, carpets dirty, living room furniture worn and dirty, patio chairs broken, bed broken, ice maker broken, etc....upon staying a few days, we realized that the unit had not been cleaned very well either. During our stay, we found a half eaten bag of chips behind a night stand, rotten limes in an ice bucket and dirty clothes under the guest bed. We did not complain at the time because our vacation time was short, but we did let the rental company know at check out. We love Sanibel, so all of this did not ruin our trip. The beach is still amazing, but we would certainly not rent this unit again.

10/27/21 *UPDATE* Please know the new Pine Cove #202 owners have renovated the condo. New floors in bedrooms, new kitchen, new paint and lots of other updates. The condo is stunning and offers a soothing, tropical feel. Photos will be avaialble soon.

Beautiful property

The condo had everything we needed and was decorated nicely. A few drawbacks- A/C unit was incredibly loud in the master bedroom, it sounded as if an airplane was taking off. The front bedrooms never cooled. Dead batteries in the family room remote for t.v. T.V. In guest bedroom was the size of a computer monitor and batteries were missing from the remote. Overall, Location to beach was perfect and we appreciated the covered parking. Thank you!

It’s All There!

Have stayed on Sanibel Island for 21 years. This is by far the best condo we have rented. Everything is here! Extremely well equipped! Close to Bailey’s, most restaurants and shopping. No rental towels. Fluffy towels and comfy beds. Loved it! Have booked again for next year.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying at Pinecove. Our experiences over the last 10 years have been almost perfect. Our grandkids grew up vacationing in Sanibel at Thanksgiving and have many wonderful memories. Unfortunately, this year when we went to book the units again for next Thanksgiving, the rental cost for 3 units was $5k more than this year. We will not be returning next Thanksgiving. We have booked 3 units down the beach for much less and we will be in the same area. How could rents go up so much in one year????? I would not be recommending Pinecove because of the cost of rental.

Pine Cove is unique as it offers higher square footage than most 3 bedroom, beach front condos, thus contributing to the rate increase. Rates are driven by supply and demand characteristics. Best Vaca EVER!!!

The best vacation EVER. Everything about this place was amazing from the condo, hot tub, swimming pool, and the beach. We went to other beaches around nothing compared to the beach right in front of the hotel. We found 10 times the seashells at our beach then we did anywhere else. Thank you for a great vacation.

Superb location

The property was as described, however the two front bedrooms were rather warm and the one with 2 twin beds is quite smaller than what it appeared to be in the pictures. We cannot say enough about the speed at which we able to contact and get a response. We had a small issue and it was taken care of within an hour or so. The pool area was very nice and the beach was, of course, awesome. We were there in August so crowds were not an issue. It is literally right next to a public beach so it may be an issue during peak times. Only suggestion I would make is to have cleaning supplies at the ready to keep messes under control. Also, the beds could use updating, but were not unbearable. We would totally stay there again.

Great Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at Pine Cove! Wonderful location, the beach and pool were easy to get to and relax. Loved the storage for all the beach gear. The kitchen amenities were sparse but typical for a rental. Nothing to worry about if you plan ahead. We will totally rent this property again!!

Extremely Pleased

This was a family vacation and our second time staying in this unit. The location is excellent providing easy access to everything on the island. The unit was clean, well stocked and has such a beautiful view of the beach and water. We slept 6 adults very comfortably. The property manager was easy to work with and the process was smooth. This unit would also be great for a family with children. My only suggestion would be to check the airflow to the front bedrooms as they tended to be a bit warmer than the rest of the unit. Maybe an AC check and rebalance. Bottom line, we would definitely stay here again.

So Many Shells !

Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time & loved our condo, especially loved how close it was to the beach, the shelling is amazing there, so many shells !! we were able to see sting rays from the beach - up close ! turtles on land, & the iguanas sunning on the sidewalks ! We found and released a sea star ! the shopping and food was great too. Love the vibe on Sanibel. We Will definitely return !
