The fishing pier was a great plus for us because everyone enjoyed the convenience. Our only negative is that the condos don’t have balconies and our particular condo, the ice maker didn’t work. We reported it but it wasn’t fixed during our stay. Otherwise it was a great stay!

Bring your own coffee (they have a normal coffee pot and a Keurig) but if you prefer coffee shops Barefoot Beans was great, They have a washing machine but you need to bring detergent (very important to get the sand out of your swimsuit). Be ready for a 2 hour wait at any restaurant, we put our names down and went back to the house for a while, 2hrs is a long wait with young kiddos.Lots of sea shells near the pier, perfect spot for the kids to pick some up for souvenirs. Thanks again!

Winter getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location for walking to the beach, south jetty, and nearby restaurants. Was an easy area for daily walks. The fishing pier was a definite plus! Condo was spacious, clean, and well maintained. Furniture was good quality with a very comfortable mattress on the king size bed. We would recommend the property to friends. A crock pot in the kitchen would have been nice to have. Floors were quite wet when the weather turned cold. Considerations for the Channelview management include new grills outside, looking into insulating the roof of the parking garage to decrease the amount of condensation on the floor of the condo, and insulating the pipes in the garage area to minimize freeze risk. All staff we interacted with when making our reservation and when visiting were friendly, professional, and courteous.

Reviewer Comments: Company Changed original condo rental because of flooring problems. Opened the curtains to find much a view of the pool under construction. Not notified of this. Close the curtain to see holes in them. Call agency but told there was not another condo here. That evening trip on the flooring in here is also coming up. The mattress in master needs replacement. Kitchen and baths good. Told we would get a discount, but never saw it.The pier and yard are great. Got 2different codes for the gate, but finally got in.Overall, ok.

The only two things wrong this time were the pool was being renovated and the elevator was not working. They didn't hinder our stay in any way since it was too cold and we were only one level up. Channel View RM108

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always stay at Channel View when we visit Port A, so we are very familiar with the property. The room was clean and comfortable and as always, the private pier was great fun under the lights at night. This particular room did not have a washer and dryer, but there was a laundry room about 20 feet away. The only problem we had was the shower valve in the master bath needs to be provided hot water the first night, but subsequent nights only tepid. Other than that, our stay was great.
