It was a little confusing at first as I thought it was one big property we rented but it turned out to be 4 different apartment like houses. But the stay was enjoyable and nice. The only downside was there was no common area that was air conditioned.
Loved the lay out. Perfect for our bachaelorette group. Loved the daily maid service and they called to let us know someone left something in the room. Place was a bit shabbier than the pictures indicate. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Also the location was perfect !
The pool was very cold even in the middle of the day and had a lot of chlorine that when you got in your eyes burned. I looked for a place so our grandson could swim and the water was too cold for him as well as the adults.
It was also right on 87 so if you stay in suite D be ready for all the road noise at night.
Beds were very comfortable and the property was nice.
Two families stayed at the house and it was perfect for us. The one item you definitely need to know that while it is a house, it has been portioned off into separate rooms and there is not a single living area where everyone can congregate. I knew this ahead of time, and it was not an issue for us. We would stay again if we make a return trip to Fred.
Our group had the whole house and fit well in our needs. The outside firepit and covered patio is where we spent most of our time there and was perfect. The pool would of been nice to get into but outside temperature was way too cold. We cooked most of the time at the property so a small upgrade in knives and cooking utensils would be great. Several of the rooms have claw foot tubs so older individuals or physically unstable might have a problem getting in and out of the tub.
We had an amazing time at the Blue House. The rooms were clean and check-in was easy. Brett was very responsive before and during our stay, even giving us dinner recommendations. We had kids and dogs and the place was perfect for both because of the fenced in yard. It is only about a 10min walk from the main street which was really nice, too. As the listing states, each room is a suite, so it was nice for the kids to nap in each respective room during the day. Because each room is a suite, there isnât a central dining room or kitchen. However, the porch has plenty of tables and chairs so we just ended up eating outside - it worked out perfectly that way. We used the largest kitchen to cook and had no problem with that. Everyone had plenty of privacy. The pool was perfect and the grill had propane and the bbq pit had wood. We couldnât have asked for a better stay. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to visit Fredericksburg for the weekend and will definitely be back!
This unit is a result of dividing up a 100 plus year old home, into 4 units. It is located on a busy street, and the backyard is enclosed, and manager has said he is closing the gaps at one corner. The backyard is shared with with caregiver, which wasn't a huge issue, but the backyard is used by caregiver does use the yard for access to residence. The individual units are not accessible except only from exterior doors. We had a good time, but do be aware of the property. The pet policy is great, though be careful about yard, to assure security.. Kitchens in the units vary in capability, one is pretty good, the other 3 are minimal. The manager is responsive, and there is daily maid service, as well as on site management, and breakfast...those are really good perks for the property.
This house is fine if you are looking for a place where each person has a bed, couch and kitchenette. If you are looking for a place for couples to have their own private room, this is a wonderful place for that.
We were meeting family from all over to celebrate Thanksgiving Dinner. So for us it did not meet our needs. There is no large room for gathering to visit and/or play games. No dishwasher! Old/Limited kitchen utensils. The main kitchen was larger then the other kitchenettes but there is very little counter space and serving space. The house if decked out in antiques. Each room is a private room and has it's own entrance. For us that was not what we were hoping for. We had hoped to gather together for Thanksgiving and be together. Other then the different style of house, it was clean and comfortable. Not luxury at all but if antiques are what you like this would be a great home for that.
Very quaint, charming, older home with 4 separate entrance suites that worked great for our group! Beds are super comfy! Our furbabies enjoyed the enclosed yard and we all enjoyed the pool!
We had a great experience! The location was perfect, walking distance from the heart of Fredericksburg. The pool and BBQue area was extremely enjoyable and relaxing.
This is a great spot for a girls trip. The main house sleeps 4-6 or more comfortably. The only downfall in my opinion is that there is only one bathroom and it is only accessible by going through the bedroom which can be uncomfortable if people are sleeping in there. The patio area is nice. We even brought a griddle and cooked breakfast outside. It is walking distance to Main Street. Overall, we had a great time!
I stayed there with 6 other friends. It was great for our group. It is a bit funky, but that added to the charm. I liked how close it was to downtown. I really liked the privacy of the separate rooms.
The place does need some up keep. There was paint peeling in the bathroom and some floor board issues. The light switches are in super funky spots. But beyond that, we had an incredible time and enjoyed having the space all to ourselves.
Really enjoyed having a private yard with a pool just for our group. All four rooms accommodated our group of 12 perfectly. Good location, walking distance to main st.
Rented the blue house of the peach tree inn for a vacation weekend with friends. It worked out splendidly. Teens and couples had their own space. Every suite had its own kitchen with fridge and stove. Pool was a hit. Highly recommend.
We had a girl's weekend with 9 of us staying at the Blue House. It was perfect for us. Great surprise when we realized that the 290 Wine Shuttle picked up directly across the street. Easy walking distance to Main St for shopping and eating. Would definitely book this again next time we come!
We had a Bunco Group there for the weekend. The backyard was amazing, the location was great, and the lady working at The Peach Tree Inn was so friendly and helpful.
This property has an amazing location! 5 minute walk from downtown and right across the street from 290 Wine Bus pickup! Although it is located on a commercial property, it feels like a secluded private residence. Would recommend.
Brett Davis, a Fredericksburg local, bought the property in 2012 after graduating from Texas A&M and serving as a Captain in the Army for 8 years. He runs the Peach Tree Inn & Suites, the Blue House, and the Bluebonnet House with his family. With a degree in Parks and Recreation Tourism, Brett can provide guests with great places to hike and spend time outdoors in the beautiful Texas hill country. He also lived here the majority of his life which makes him a great resource of places to see and also for those that are not worth the money.
The property is family owned and operated which means that we are much more personable and flexible than the larger properties around town. The majority of our visitors are repeat guests who have come to stay for many years. The entire lot is within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and other tourist attractions. With pools, BBQ pits and HEB half a mile down the road, you may not see a reason to go to town and have a great place to have a cookout while the kids run around the property and play in the beautiful Bermuda grass.
The property includes an old motor lodge built in the 1940s, the Blue House which was built in the early 1900s, a few employee cabins that were built in the early 1900s and some newer houses and cottages as well. The entire lot is about 5 acres and backs up to Baron Creek. The location is perfect for those who would like to park the car and spend the remainder of the trip walking and seeing the sites.
