Great visit for the Tour of the Moon bike ride
The cottage is just as advertised and it was perfectly situated for us as it was right on the Tour of the Moon bike route, about 1.5 miles from the start. It is in a beautiful location and the cottage is very cute. Jackie, the owner called made sure that we had everything we needed and there was even an amazing chocolate cake waiting for us when we arrived. If we come back we will definitely stay there again.
Thank you Nixons for your visit. We do have a great location for biking events. The house was very clean when you left and I hope you will come again.
Charming and comfortable
Sweet Apple Cottage is charming and unique. It suited us well. The home is cozy and larger than you think. It has a large yard and a nice deck. The kitchen is spacious and well-appointed. The location is perfect. We were quite comfortable there.
Thank you Glenda for a very nice review.
Excellent, true home experience
A wonderful surprise, after staying at Airbnb/VRBO properties that are clearly targeting high turnover crowd without personal touch. This home is lived in and has virtually every convenience item and supply you have in your own home. The owner was excellent, responsive, and even sent back to us a scarf my wife forgot at the house. Highly recommended if you are ever in Grand Junction!
Sweet Apple Cottage is a little slice of Heaven!
Our stay in this sweet little cottage exceeded our expectations! We delighted in discovering all the lovely pieces of art and the many small details that make this a “home away from home”! We came to hike at Co Nat’l Monument and the quick drive to CNM was a bonus. Hiked all morning, home for lunch and a little rest and back over to hike until dinner. The home had every amenity one might want, very clean and super comfortable beds. Jackie gifted us with a delicious loaf of chocolate nut bread which we enjoyed with coffee on the deck in the morning ~ and tea on the deck at night. We all commented on what a very quiet neighborhood this is. We will definitely be back when we explore the nearby parks of Moab and Arches. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us, Jackie!
Enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. Totally comfortable and easy to feel at home in this house. Close to Colorado National Monument and easy driving distance to the Grand Mesa. Jackie is especially good at checking in and making sure everything was good.
Thanks Joanna for such a nice review
A grand place in Grand Junction
Sweet Apple sounded like it was what we were looking for . . . and it was. For being in town, which we usually like to avoid, it was very private with a nice yard surrounded by trees – plus the patio and deck is a very enjoyable space.
Inside, it just seemed so lived in – both in terms of decorations as well as supplies and even food to use, right down to a dab of super glue when we needed it.
Our GPS took us around the block for some reason. It’s worth getting a grasp of the neighborhood – coming and going from Monument Road is quite a bit easier than South Broadway.
We used Sweet Apple as home base for visits to Colorado National Monument (just a couple miles away) as well as Moab, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, a rafting trip in Fruita, and getting some fresh Palisade peaches. Since a CNM pass is good for 7 days and it’s open 24 hours, we recommend getting there very early one day to catch the sunrise.
The only reason we wouldn’t come back to Sweet Apple is because we hardly ever do return trips; we just like discovering new places. If we were to repeat, this would be on the list to consider. Thanks.
Thanks so much for a nice review. Keep on your journey to great places.
