Les brises et les vues de l'océan vous raviront de notre maison à plan d'étage ouvert et inversé pendant que vous vous détendez ou dînez dans le salon au deuxième étage, véranda grillagée ou véranda. Le deuxième étage a une cuisine surdimensionnée avec des comptoirs en granit, une TV / DVD de 36 ', beaucoup de livres pour rattraper votre lecture d'été et une vue EXCEPTIONNELLE sur l'océan, ainsi qu'une vue panoramique sur le golf et' Old Baldy '. Notre lot immobilier surdimensionné vous offre intimité et isolement du bruit et des voisins.

La table de salle à manger peut accueillir de huit à dix; la table à manger extérieure peut accueillir de quatre à six personnes, plus il y a des sièges de bar pour les enfants. Le porche grillagé avec un ventilateur à aubes et des chaises rembourrées vous permettra de passer de longues heures à profiter du système audio intérieur / extérieur tout en dégustant du café, un repas ou des boissons tout en regardant passer les navires. Les navires s'approchent du rivage au bout de notre rue avant de remonter la rivière Cape Fear, alors apportez vos jumelles pour attraper les détails sur les ponts des navires lorsqu'ils passent!

Les deux chambres principales, chacune avec une salle de bain, un lit king-size avec un matelas à plateau-coussin et une télévision à télécommande de 36 'dans une armoire, font de cette maison un endroit parfait pour DEUX FAMILLES. Les chambres principales s'ouvrent sur un porche ombragé pleine longueur face à l'océan, parfait pour faire une sieste ou lire sur le hamac. Les autres chambres, chacune avec deux lits jumeaux, partagent une salle de bain complète. «Second Wind», construit en 2003, est une application. 2800 pieds carrés, et a des planchers de bois franc partout, plafonds de neuf pieds et accès gratuit à Internet sans fil.

À environ 650 pieds de l'océan, à un pâté de maisons de South Beach sur l'océan Atlantique et à un pâté de maisons du nouveau club BHI et du restaurant Horizons, où vous pourrez profiter du golf, de la piscine, des repas formels ou décontractés, du salon, du tennis et salle d'entraînement intérieure, en faire un endroit UNIQUE sur l'île. Vous adorerez la commodité d'un petit-déjeuner, d'un déjeuner et d'un dîner décontractés à Horizons ou dans les restaurants du BHI Club, ou vous détendre au bord de la piscine à la piscine BHI. Deux vélos (location de vélos également disponible sur l'île si plus sont nécessaires), chaises de plage et parasol, et deux voiturettes de golf (un siège six, un sièges quatre), sont fournis, ainsi qu'une remorque qui se fixe à une voiturette de golf pour le transport chaises de plage, glacières et parasols à la plage! Le BHI Club est INCLUS dans le prix de location d'été. Le Shoals Club est facultatif et supplémentaire. Vous ne voudrez pas quitter notre emplacement et notre maison sereins et tranquilles, à seulement une promenade ou une balade à vélo du BHI Club et de l'océan.

Fantastic house - Fantastic host - Everything was great!

Last minute trip to BHI and we were shocked that a place this awesome was available in season. Susan is a wonderful host - very responsive and seemed genuinely concerned with how we were doing throughout our stay. The third floor (second living space floor) is exactly what you want in a beach house - very open, gorgeous views every way you look, and an absolute picture frame of a shot of the sunset. Highly recommend, we'll definitely be back!

Perfect for families

This was perfect for two families with little kids. We loved the upstairs living space with views of the ocean in every direction. Two masters and two golf carts made it comfortable for the adults, and we spent hours on the screened in porch listening to the waves. We would definitely return.

First time on bald head

Our first time on bald head island was wonderful! Loved the house and our location. Ocean views from three of four sides of the house. Lots of privacy at the house. Perfect for our family.

Great Family Getaway

Conveniently located near the BHI Club. With all 4 bedrooms on the first floor and living room on the second floor there was privacy for those that wanted to go to bed early. Great screen porch on the upper floor as well with expansive views. All the chairs and umbrellas needed for beach. Made for memorable family vacation.

Great House in a great little location !!

Just finished up a fantastic week and loved the house. The lay out is perfect and the house is well kept and clean. We spent mornings and evenings on the screened porch that has fantastic views and a cool breeze. It’s in a great location as it’s right across the street from West beach and extremely close to BHI. It’s also a very quite and private area. Susan (the owner) is super responsive and very pleasant to deal with.

Awesome getaway for our family!

Thanks for a great few days at BHI! The house exceeded our expectations and allowed us to spend quality time together and make many new memories. Even with a couple of rainy and windy hours we enjoyed watching the storm roll through and played board games, etc. We appreciated how well appointed the house was, but most of all the screened porch and awesome views in all directions of the island. We’ve always loved BHI, and will certainly be back soon!

The perfect retreat!

Spacious, fully equipped, bright and airy. Terrific panoramic views of the water with ample breezes on porches as well as sunning options. We were so comfortable and relaxed, thanks for a wonderful stay!!!

Relaxing Getaway

Thank you for an incredibly wonderful and relaxing getaway at second wind in Bald Head island. Your home provided just the atmosphere we were looking for. It was conveniently located, cozy and Made us feel right at home. For 8 adults and a 2 year old, we found that we had everything we could possibly need, and felt right at home. The island was beautiful, and we cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our vacation. Thank you again

Perfect Summer Vacation

We had absolutely the best week!! Everything was absolutely perfect! The house was very well equipped and everything WORKED...which is a huge plus when you are renting...I have not always had that be the case. The beds and linens were very comfortable which is also a huge plus in a rental and when you are vacation! The house was very clean and the porch was so incredibly comfortable to sit on and enjoy that gorgeous view. We loved sitting back a little from the road but also be able to see the ocean and activity below. We enjoyed the board games as well as the sound system- big plus to the house for us! You were wonderful to work with and I will definitely be in touch to rent again! THANK YOU!

Wonderful Week-End

What a wonderful week-end my family of six had. Your beach home is beautiful and so very comfortable. There is beauty from every window. My grandsons and I saw the sunrise and sunset on Saturday. Beautiful! I loved standing at the kitchen sink and seeing the ocean. The boys freaked out when a huge ship went by. It was like it was in the living room! We loved the porches, all of them. It rained just a bit but not a problem. The cabinet was full of games for all ages. We only had to rent one bike for the 6 year old, all others were perfect. We loved having the two carts, one for the golfers and one for the entire family when we went on adventures to the beach or lunch. We walked to the pool and park. It was just perfect. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will be back, making more memories.

Wonderful Family Get-away

We just returned today from a memory-filled week at Second Wynd. The home was lovely, with the screened in porch being our favorite hang out area in the house - always a lovely breeze and great view of the ocean...we could hear the waves lapping in the distance. We had 7 adults and our two little granddaughters...the house was more than big enough for us to gather in any area. Great location - right next to BHI club, not far from the harbor area, the Market or the Shoals club. The East Beach is one of the nicest beaches we've ever been to. We fell in love with Bald Head Island and everyone in the family wants to make it our new annual family vacation.

We live in Raleigh and use the cottage ourselves for our family one weekend or week per month (in the summer), so we are not absentee landlords. We can stay on top of the little things that can go missing or get broken with everyday summer usage, in particular. Our maids are the best and keep the house beautiful. Since we use the house regularly ourselves, we attend to the details that need attention. We are only a phone call away, in Raleigh, and have many friends and neighbors on the island. So, we are not distant, absentee owners.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We vacationed at many North Carolina beaches before settling on Bald Head Island. At other beaches, though, we spent half of our time going from hot cars to the store, restaurants, etc., along crowded roadways. At Bald Head, riding in the golf carts along the quiet steets, shared by bicycles and roller bladers, is half the fun. We selected the location of our cottage, 'Second Wind,' because of the great ocean views, privacy of the oversized lit, unobstructed ocean views down Water Thtush Court to the ocean, and proximity to the BHI Club and ocean access. Because we have an estate lot, larger than the typical lot, we have privacy from neighbors and virtually no road noise, as we are on a quiet cul de sac. We walk to the BHI Club for the pool, golf, to use the athletic room, lunch or dinner. We especially like take-out lunch of dinner from Horizons, which we often eat from our screened in porch or indoor dining table, watching the ships go by (unique to our lot) or the sun go down. Our long and derp porches are the best feature of our house! Second Wind is great for family gatherings. We built the house so that two families could enjoy the house together, with two master bedrooms, each with king bed and bath. We often invite another family to join us for long weekends at BHI b

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The porches are the best feature of our house! We live on the porches in the summer, and you will too, on your vacation. The views are incredible and the upholstered furnishings on the upper level allow you to while away the hours in comfort. The screened in porch with paddle fan allows you to stay outside late into the night, without bugs, and socialize with your family or friends, while listening to the outdoor sound system. The large indoor dining table is great for building puzzles. Other great features of 'Second Wind' are the ample sized master bedrooms with king beds and pillow-top mattresses. The next best feature is the oversized lot, which means you can play your music and laugh a little louder. Second Wind is a welcoming and restful home away from home.
