We booked in for 3 nights after spending 4 nights at a Haven site in Weymouth earlier in the week and despite the inclement weather had a wonderful stay. The hosts were great, the accommodation was perfect for our needs with two dogs. Thank you Brian & Debbie for a wonderful but short stay - hope to be back in the bear future
The caravan is situated in just the right place for me and my beautiful German Shepherd, Lilly, who loves sitting out on the veranda no matter what the weather. This time, the weather was absolutely glorious. The caravan has all the amenities I need and what you would expect. It is very easy to get to lots of places of interest, including the beach. For me, it is perfect! :-)
Great stay with all the home comforts you need and more! Perfect base to explore the island or stay and enjoy the local area. We would love to return when we get the chance, thank you.
We loved staying in this property. It was super clean and comfortable. Debbie was really friendly and easy to communicate with.St Helens is so beautiful. We loved being able to walk down to the beach with our dog.
Really enjoyed our 2nd stay at this property. Well equipped and in a great location. The pool is great. Looking forward to coming back again in the future.
Very good went to 2 dog friendly beaches, bembridge and shanklin, went to poo museum very interesting, model village at godshill and bembridge harbour all dog friendly. Lovely accommodation at st Helens park. Really enjoyed
Great location near to country walks and St Helen's beach. The children loved the swimming pool. The mobile home was clean and tidy and a good size for a family of four.
The caravan is very well equipped, even including games and DVDs. The site is nice and in a good location to explore the island, with a beach a short walk away. Bryan and Debbie are great hosts with excellent communication, and even booked our ferry for us at a discounted price. We didn't have any issues (besides some dodgy weather!) but if we had I'm confident they'd have been on hand to help.
Lovely little caravan, perfect for me and my GSD. Two lovely bedrooms at each end beautifully set up. Kitchen had everything you'd need although I had trouble lighting the cooker but that was probably me! My dog loved sitting out on the decking, except when we had the gale winds which sounded as if they were going to lift the roof off!
From the moment we booked this accomodation, we had amazing interaction with the property managers Debbie and Bryan. They could not do enough for us from ferry discount ( and amendments ) to a lovely welcome package upon arrival, everything has been superb.
The Chalet van is in a lovely park resort with very friendly residents and other holiday makers and on site staff.
The Chalet Van itself is a lovely, quaint, extremely clean and has everything you can want in a holiday home, and in a lovely location of St Helens, we will be certainly highly recommending Debbies and Bryans lovely Chalet van to others.
Once again, Thank you so much Debbie and Brian going that extra mile for making our holiday truly amazing. đ
Decided to visit the Isle of Wight again after some 10 or so years and wanted a base to explore the whole island so this holiday home was ideal for us. Reasonable quiet site with a smallish pool which was great for a swim after a hard day's sightseeing ( water was one of the warmest we have come across by the way). The holiday home although one of the oldest on site felt like you were at home and was furnished beautifully. Full of the little things you would not normally expect like table lamps, ornaments and even a fireplace clock. Bryan the owner contacted us after we arrived to make sure we were happy with everything. I would certainly recommend this holiday home to anyone who doesn't want the hustle and bustle of a big holiday park. Thank you so much Debbie & Bryan.
The chalet was very well stocked with all you need, not only with kitchen things but toys/games for inside and out, dvd's, bbq, outdoor furniture, good quality bedding and towels and loads of extra blankets/ heaters if you need them The interior is slightly old fashioned and showing signs of wear but didn't detract from our enjoyment for a long weekend (it is also quite probably the oldest van on the site!). So nice to sit on the veranda with a cup of tea first thing in the morning, the veranda is on two sides which gave full sun all day. Was disappointed that we couldn't use the pool on one of our days as it is closed on Sundays. Our two pooch's had a great time too! We would be happy to return.
We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2023.
Check in was easy and Bryan was on the other end of the phone to answer Qâs prior to departing for our trip.
Major things for me with a caravan holiday are: comfy, big beds. Black out blinds a good shower and a nice outdoor area. This delivered on all of those.
The van is old and traditionally decorated, so if you want high end, this isnât for you, but we love a caravan break and it was in a lovely quiet location.
I actually love the fact the site has nothing on it except an outdoor pool.
Would definitely recommend a trip to Tapnell Farm if you have kids - beautiful place with lots for the whole family to do.
We also ate at the Spy Glass in Ventnor - typical pub food, but the views are amazing!
Thanks for an enjoyable few days. â€ïž
No issues at this static van. Great location, very quiet during weekends but a bit noiser during weekdays because of school playground next door, but didnt bother us.
Couple of things to note, the main doors are difficult to shut and lock when the sun has been on them. They need adjustment.
A bit more info on the check in process would have been useful, you dont need to go to main reception.
Also more info on pool access is needed, we couldnt use it if we had wanted to as gate locked, but weather want kind to us!
Caravan has all amenities and facilities you need, loads of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, washing up equipment, cleaning equipment, everything!
Its an older van, a few cobwebs in ceiling and older furnishings, but dont let that put you off.
One observation and change that could be made is that whilst the twin bedroom has a TV, the master double doesnt. A TV in there would be a real plus.
Overall, a cracking caravan to base yourself at, lots ofcaccessible walking, easy road access and quiet in the evening. Thank you for a great few days with my wife and 92 year old mother she loved it!
Travelling with younger children is always a bit of a pain, especially when we have not done it for a while. This stay made everything as easy as it could be.
A fantastic location (my kids loved the play area right outside) and St Helen's is just a beautiful part of the island, and staying in such a cozy chalet with all the necessary amenities made it all the better. We were very comfortable and my kids had a great time. We only stayed for a few days and the chalet proved to be a great base for all our exploring and coming back to a warm and welcoming sofa. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. It was great having 2 shower rooms so we weren't all waiting to use the same shower/toilet.
The communication was excellent and having discounted ferry made the entire trip easy and much less stressful and more cost effective.
Overall we had a really nice time and we would happily come back.
The chalet was an ideal place to stay the location great had real good weather sat outside in the evening to have our dinner and it was very relaxingDebbie was avaliable if I needed to get in touch she is a very helpful lady
Would go back again
