Comfortable, clean in a bracing area.A bus stop opposite to Chichester much appreciated. Enjoyed the shops, restaurants and theatre. Loved having a terrace overlooling beach but very windy.Beautiful sands at West WitteringAccommodation good for the five of us.
Had a fantastic 4 night stay, weather was fantastic, so sitting outside watching some beautiful sunsets was amazing, could see Isle of Wight as clear as anything and even saw a seal. The living room has been updated from the photos and is very nice & comfy. Only downside was the water. If someone was running the water upstairs the shower ran cold downstairs apart from that had a lovely stay and would happily return. The Boulevard Selsey is a 10 minute walk and would highly recommend, we had dinner and a breakfast all reasonably priced, good variety and very well cooked and presented
we have used the property many time and also clean ready to get into All new sitting room furniture so the photos don't do it justice paying for late check out worked this time for us Perhaps a little spruce up outside may be good but will definitely be going back again
Excellent base for our weekend. The house was even better than we expected, so clean and well equiped. The downstairs bedroom and ensuite were ideal for mum and we were surprised how spacious the upstairs befrooms were. We enjoyed sitting and watching the waves and the ships. You can see Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight from the garden. We would love to come again and spend longer as we had such a lovely time.
Fantastic location! House was very clean and tidy and great for a weekend with friends. Have booked for July and hoping for another great stay. Even the weather was good!
The position of the house was perfect, to just sit and watch the sea was bliss. The house has been refurbished throughout and was so comfortable and modern looking. I had gone for a short stay to check out if suitable for myself and a more disabled friend to stay in June. It will be good but the toilets despite having hand rails are very low, but we can bring a raiser now we know. It seemed to us that they had thought of everything one would need and I cant wait to return in a month.
Had a lovely long weekend in this beautiful clean house with sea views, I often holiday in Selsey but this is the best Iâve stayed in, so comfortable as well, it has everything you need, I will definitely book again
Great location , right by the sea! Clean, comfy brilliant home for the six of us . In a quiet location. Very clean and modern overlooking the sea . We loved it !
What a lovely place to stay. The house had everything you need. Newly decorated with all new furniture too. Facilityâs were spot on and with the patio you have beautiful views of the see both indoors and out. Property had a huge patio too with a gate backing onto the beach. Couldnât have wished for more. Host was very helpful and quick to respond. We will definitely retur. Thank you for a lovely stay x
The property has been updated since the photo's were taken so we were really surprised but pleased to see lovely new reclining settees and redecoration in the lounge. Property was so nicely presented and was lovely and cozy.Would definitely recommend and are hoping for a return visit. Great restaurants close by and would certainly recommend The Seal. Housekeeper was really pleasant when we contacted her. Thank you for letting us stay.
As a family we needed a perfect place to stay especially for my Mum who has major mobility issues. When we arrived it was perfect, the sofa was amazing for Mum to sit and watch the sea all day, she could hear the waves, smell the sea air, the house was perfect for all of us, and getting around was easy for Mum, her room being on ground floor. The twin room overlooks the sea and at night you can hear the waves. The property was clean, beds comfortable, location fantastic especially if you need a holiday thatâs going to be mainly at the house with the beech as your garden. The value for us was affordable, and Iâve seen reviews that say itâs dated. But honestly, itâs clean, comfortable, stunning views, everything you need to have a wonderful stay ON the beechâŠeven if you are needing to sit on the sofa! For us, it was all we needed. Our only small point is that the toilets if you are disabled are quite low, but they do have hand rails on ground floor. We will book again
We stayed here 5 years ago & again had a good week. On the whole, the house is comfortable, surface clean (although a deep clean is needed) & fairly well equipped. The location is obviously the biggest selling point.
There are issues though, which could be resolved with a little work & TLC.
More & up to date info in the house folder would be useful, including bin days.
In bedroom 2 upstairs, the curtains are thin & coming of the tracks so the room is too light in the middle of the night plus curtain tie back hanging off wall on left side.
TV remotes in the bedrooms donât work - we even tried new batteries but still didnât work!
The biggest issue is the bathroom upstairs. Calling it a shower is a bit of a stretch! The bath is slippery with no bathmat. The âshowerâ is a tap attachment & no holder on the wall. You canât shower without soaking the walls, which are not tiled or splashing the floor as there is no screen. A previous review mentioned the damp smell & this is probably why. There is also a small hole in the wall next to the window & when windy sounds like a wind tunnel.
Stripping all beds seems a waste of everyones time if not all used â just ask guests which are needed and only make those up.
We were charged ÂŁ50 extra for the dog as 8 days took us into a second week, but still have to clean up prior to leaving with a Dyson vacuum with poor suction & no hose attachments!
This review seems a bit negative but itâs mostly cosmetic & we would consider staying again.
