Maison de plage classique pour chiens avec vue sur l'océan! Moins de 100 mètres de l'accès à la plage! Tous les conforts de la maison sont ici dans cette maison saltbox semi-bord de mer. Réveillez-vous chaque jour dans les draps du designer John Robshaw et admirez le pittoresque qu'offre l'île Hatteras. Chaque chambre a sa propre terrasse attachée avec une vue magnifique sur le son et l'océan sur deux niveaux! De la terrasse sur le toit, accessible par une "trappe" unique de l'intérieur, vous pouvez profiter à la fois des vues dégagées sur le lever du soleil sur l'océan et le coucher du soleil sur le son. Le niveau supérieur de cette maison a un agencement de plancher ouvert, avec une "zone de jeu" adjacente, une cuisine et une belle salle à manger. Trois chambres confortables vous attendent pour vous rafraîchir pour les activités du lendemain. Amusez-vous sur les terrasses, sur le pont ombragé (pour une bonne sieste ou un bon livre), dans le bain à remous pour 6 personnes, ou tout simplement en vous promenant dans le quartier. Le wifi est inclus. L'accès à l'océan est à quelques pas de l'autre côté de la rue et le son n'est qu'à quelques minutes dans l'autre sens. "Sail Away" est idéalement situé à 30 minutes au sud de la célèbre zone de pêche de l'Oregon et à quelques minutes d'une destination de kite surf de renommée internationale. Également à proximité se trouvent des magasins, des restaurants, un accès sonore et une nouvelle piste cyclable. La cage d'escalier en colimaçon est le seul escalier de la maison qui va du premier étage au troisième étage. Veuillez réserver à votre discrétion. Il y a aussi des escaliers extérieurs qui s'étendent à tous les niveaux de la maison. Faites de "Sail Away" votre maison pour la semaine et profitez d'une expérience de plage inoubliable!

Unique home and lovely stay!

Wonderful house, the hot tub was awesome, quiet neighborhood and great location to explore the Outer Banks! Host was responsive and house was immaculate. We had everything we needed!

Cozy OBX Spot

Really enjoyed our week at Sail Away! Great location and easy beach access. Quirky beach house, so expect to get your stairs in! But the views from the third floor deck are worth it. Great place for a family with kiddos.

Exactly what we were looking for

My wife and I had an awesome getaway here. It was like living in a cool tree house for a week. Location was great with close beach access, and well away from the main road through town. We would definitely stay here again.

Quirky and cute little beach house

We had a very nice stay last week. This was our first time staying in this cottage. Loved the spiral stairs, rooftop view. Short walk to oceanfront and beautiful beach. Perfect place for a family of four with two dogs. Only thing I would mention is to bring your own bath towels and washcloths as they don’t provide many. The cottage itself was clean and well appointed otherwise!

Great beach stay

This was a great stay! It was a super easy walk to the beach, and a beautiful 3-story home. We stayed with our dog and found that using the outside staircases was much easier moving between floors than the indoor spiral staircase. The hot tub was wonderful, the kitchen was spotless, and the bed comfy! Would stay again!

Great trip

As advertised. Great little house. Five decks. Very clean. We were able to check in early. Host was very communicative. Only thing worth noting for any elderly guests is there are many stairs, and the beach is a 6 minute walk. Pro tip—the latch on the roof access sticks, but you can easily pop it with a butter knife.

What a wonderful place and great experience staying at Sail Away! Kyle, the owner, was so helpful and the house was clean with all needed amenities. Location is awesome, and the area is so peaceful!! I highly recommend this booking - you won’t be disappointed!!

Great Family Vacation

The property is as described. Very short walk through the dunes to a perfect beach. The area is less commercial and makes for a great family visit. The spiral staircase is a challenge for us bigger guys, but the outdoor access makes it easy. Overall a great location and house.

Nice week! House is lovely. Owner was very responsive to minor issue. Hot tub was nice especially with cooler weather. Appreciate being able to bring our dogs.

Outer Banks getaway

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter and her husband. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs on vacation with us. The house was nicely decorated and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. It was just a short walk to the beach and the dunes were beautiful. We were able to find some good restaurants near by that were open even though it was mid May. The owners were very accommodating and available to answer any questions.

Comfortable home in amazing neighborhood!

House was just as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. The a/c worked great and the kitchen was well stocked. It was an easy walk to the beach and a wonderful area to ride bikes. We loved sitting out on the decks and even were able to use the hot tub. I loved the outdoor shower for cleaning up after beach trips. There were movies and board games that were great for the rainy days. I'd definitely recommend this home to anyone.

Great Retreat

We had a great experience at Sail Away during the COVID crisis. The house's close proximity to the (sparsely populated) beach made social distancing a breeze. The property manager, Kyle, was very prompt with his replies and made us all feel comfortable with renting a property during these uncertain times. Our two dogs also loved all the private deck space!

Great Stay in Salvo

Really has everything you need for a great time at the beach. The spiral staircase is a little tricky to navigate at first, but it's easily worked around by using the outside stairs, and you can block it off to keep dogs or toddlers from getting too curious. We did have a little issue with leakage during a day of heavy rain, but Kyle was super responsive and offered to have someone come out. Didn't end up being much of a worry, because the weather passed and we didn't have any issues in lighter rains.

Totally relaxing!!!

What a great week in salvo— we just got back and kept saying. It was a favorite vacation for sure. It’s close to the beach even closer than the pictures make it look— house was great with 2 bedrooms on lower level. Another bedroom on the top and the middle was the kitchen tv hangout room. So many decks too we loved the top deck for the 4th of July. Great fireworks! We used the outside shower all week. We definitely would go back and hope to. Beach was beautiful! The owner was great— so easy to message and quick responses! Very nice!! Definitely stay there if you can!! 🌊

Perfect Outer Banks Rental

We always love staying at this house. Salvo is the perfect quiet space providing the ideal location for both action packed outdoor adventures & complete peace. The house has everything we could need, offers beautiful views, was impeccably clean, is a short walk over the dunes to the beach & a quick bike ride to the sound. There was a tiny issue my partner noticed while I was in the shower; he reached out to the property management company & when I got out of the shower, I had a missed call from the owner addressing it - while I still didn't know anything about it. How's that for responsiveness?! See you next summer and thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Anchor’s Away

Our stay at Sail Away in Salvo was practically perfect. The salt box rustic home was exactly as described & in pics but even better. The home was clean top to bottom. All inclusive but dish towels. We are very neat ppl & only had a minor issue which is a feat to satisfy us for a larger home with 3 floors, 2 bathrooms, 4 beds, multiple decks, outdoor shower, grill area, observation deck, & Hot Tub! The kitchen is large & fully equipped & anything you would need is available. Even games, books, beach supplies, patio chairs, picnic table. The beds were very comfortable. Each room is tastefully furnished. Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 showers with cold & hot water. Heating & climate control AC in each room. The views from every level including star gazing on roof were great! Grilling supplies including charcoal are provided. The short walk to beach is easy & you can see the ocean & sound from balconies. We loved the hot tub most of all. The decor is awesome in every room. The host thought of everything plus the kitchen sink which is deep and great for clean up. The host was extremely helpful & responsive & informative. We had only 1 minor issue which he offered to take care of right away. He was also very flexible in accommodating our needs & requests. Can’t recommend Sail Away enough. Proximity to local shops, beaches, restaurants was primo. We hit all the beaches, inlets, towns, 4 lighthouses, villages, islands in OBX with a Free car ferry to Ocracoke. Will definitely stay again.

COVID 19 and This Property

First and foremost let me say that this place was such a pleasure to stay at, and Kyle was an amazing host who answered and met our concerns from beginning to end. I just have a few suggestions for people who are staying at this property during COVID-19. You will need to bring your own blankets, the ones that were provided for us we didn't use. They were just fine, but we went ahead and brought our own. Please make sure that you bring lots of masks as many of the island businesses will not allow you inside (as they shouldn't) without one. Bring your own cleaning supplies to wipe everything down, even though the cleaning crew did an amazing job it is just safer. Don't forget puzzles and games! It rained on us a great deal and since there wasn't much in the house due to the regulations of COVID 19 (Not the owners doing mind you) there were not those things you would normally find in a beach home. We felt that Salvo really did an amazing job in making sure that we stayed safe and could social distance well enough. EVERY store had masks and regulations and wouldn't serve people who didn't have them on. However, some of the other islands we visited didn't do the same so we just stayed local. Even the dolphin tour we went on only allowed so many people on to insure we kept our distance and cleaned the railings of the boat many times. I really appreciate how kind and thoughtful the owner was through the whole thing and kept us up to date on the pandemic as it was unfolding (and how it would possibly affect our visit). We are already planning our next trip back! Do yourself a favor and escape your COVID-19 blues at Sail Away and please stay safe!

Great rental for first trip to OBX

Property just as anticipated thanks to the on-line description/pictures making for terrific first rental in Salvo! Located in nice neighborhood- house is private with lots of shrubbery and small lawn and is very close to the ocean. Arrived on a Saturday- house was clean, nicely decorated, has plenty of seating and space on main floor, new floors and super comfortable beds. Full size washer & dryer- a big plus! Inside stairs didn't bother us, just used outside stairs moving in and out. Hot tub was running upon our arrival, which we enjoyed during windy/rainy weather. Amazing views of the ocean, especially from the master top floor suite and roof top deck where you can also see the bay! There are two vacant lots ocean side just across the street, one cleared for building most likely finished by next summer. Views won't totally be blocked, unless other lot gets built on as well. Paths to the beautiful beach just a short walk from the house. A few details and helpful hints: Property management company left a roll of paper towel, 2 small/thin garbage bags, tiny dish soap/sponge, almost empty box of dish detergent and 4 pack of toilet paper. Dollar General is within walking distance if you don't come prepared with supplies (expected a few basics, thankfully we brought Lysol wipes for counters, etc). Fridge was clean yet completely empty, no salt/pepper either- just plan ahead. Coffee maker requires basket filters. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes/utensils- adequate pots/pans/knives. Unfortunately several light bulbs were either out or missing- inside and out (and it gets dark, especially on the stairs), however we did find one flashlight. Toaster was also broken. Decided to wait until Monday to notify mgmt. company- before we even called someone showed up to check on things and he was great. Within 24 hours had a new toaster and all but one bulb was replaced (had to be ordered). All in all we were very happy with the house- owner was VERY HELPFUL providing LOTS OF INFO on the area and local hurricane updates. Thankfully Irma wasn't in our direct path! We had a wonderful relaxing stay, as did our dogs (really great we could bring them)... can't wait to come again next year! THANK YOU for everything!!!

We loved Sail Away! So unique and charming. Perfect location for us, so close to the beach. The house was well-stocked and comfortable. I loved all the small decorative touches. I'd definitely stay again!

Nice and Quiet

I stayed here with my sisters and our kids. We had great time and enjoyed the quietness of the area. It is close to the beach and although it stormed for most of our stay, we still had a great time at the house and the hot tub.
