The place is in a great location and was clean and exactly as listed. There is a garden door in the bathroom overlooking a busy area which is in the photos but I didnât quite register until using the bathroom. There is a white sheer and itâs not an issue just something less common than Iâm used to. The location is great with easy access to all Bellagio has to offer. We travel with backpacks so the stairs are no issue but if you travel with a suitcase you can easily take the road around to avoid the stairs, just a bit of a longer walk.
Location is amazing, easy to get to and access. the place was very very clean, AC was great. Will be recommending to everyone who plans on visiting Bellagio.
This property is perfectly located in the city centre of Bellagio. It was a short walk to excellent restaurants and shops as well as to the ferry. The apartment balcony overlooks the church square which is lively during the day and quiet in the evenings. Daniela was a wonderful host and was very responsive to questions before and during our stay. We highly recommend this beautiful apartment and look forward to staying again!
You can't find a better location than this! Lake views located at the foot of the bell tower and one of the main streets, amazing!
Our only complaint was the air conditioning, the air conditioning unit does not keep up in the heat of August.
ot summer m
Our stay at the Lake View was nothing but splendid. The host was responsive and resourceful, the place was super clean and spacious. It really made our trip to Lake Como a lot more comfortable. The views were nothing more than breathtaking! I highly recommend this unit!
Absolutely wonderful!! This apartment is spectacular. Itâs located right in the center of town where your front window view is Lake Como and the back balcony view is of an incredible historic cathedral. My wife and I spent several days here in October and truly loved every second! The host, through VRBO, was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful! We are already planning a trip back this spring and we will absolutely stay here!
What a beautiful place to stay. Views of lake Como from one side and the town square and church from the other. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed - with great air conditioning.
The location of the apartment could not be better, with cafes, restaurants and shops all within a few minutes walk.
Daniela was a helpful and communicative host.
We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.
Lovely comfortable apartment in the heart of Bellagio. We stayed for five nights to attend a wedding. It was handy to everything. It has a great street view at the front (we could people watch from the balcony) and we loved hearing the church bells outside our window. The view from the sitting room and kitchen is towards the lake. It is not a huge apartment but was perfect for the two of us. It is on the second floor so has stairs to climb (there is no lift.) The apartment does not have a washing machine, but there is a self service launderette 5 mins walk away if you need to wash clothes. Daniela was very easy to deal with, great communication and sent us a list of her favourite eating spots. Thoroughly recommend staying here!
This property is amazing! It is perfectly situated in the town of Bellagio, and is easy walking distance to everywhere!
The apartment was perfect. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. Dani the host was very easy to communicate with and very helpful when required.
The apartment was perfectly quiet at night time and the church bell only starts to ring at 8am. Otherwise, you cannot hear any outside noise at all. The view to the lake is absolutely brilliant, and on the opposite side of the apartment is a tiny balcony big enough for 2 to sit and enjoy the ambience! I hope we get to enjoy this place again one day. Thanks Dani for making our stay in Bellagio so memorable!
Excellent position at the top of the town. Cozy apartment and even though the heat wasn't allowed to be on yet for the season, it was certainly bearable on chilly October days/nights. Some people might dislike the church bells ringing in such close proximity but that never bothered us during our stay. The balcony overlooking the church and its piazza was nice and the view of the lake from the kitchen windows was fabulous.
The kitchen has a small fridge with a little freezer, 2 gas burners, a microwave, electric tea kettle, moka pot. If you're hoping to cook meals, note that there is no oven.
The bed was comfortable & there were nightstands on each side of the bed with power outlets above each--perfect for charging devices at bedside. The shower was a good size, the water pressure was excellent, and the hot water stayed hot.
For those traveling with heavy luggage, lots of luggage, or who have mobility issues, be aware that there are lots of stairs, as this apartment is on the 2nd floor (3rd floor for Americans) and there is no lift. It wasn't an issue for us but others may want to know this.
The only negative was the WiFi, which was sporadic. We had to constantly reboot the router, which didn't always help. Frustrating for those who need to work.
Other than that, the apartment was very comfortable and the host, Daniela, was very responsive.
We would happily stay again.
The apartment is as described, the views are fantastic and the balcony next to the church is such a great Italian experience. Bellagio is a great place to base from at Lake Como, you can visit other towns on the ferry and the shopping and restaurants are fantastic.
The gelateria and bar next door everyone raves about is only open on weekends in the fall, sadly we never got to try it. Avoid the restaurants that face the water, they do have good views but the food is average at best and they are very expensive. Many good options up the quaint stairways!
One thing to be aware of that we wish we had been told or researched more was the parking situation. The maps provided (and are the same on the Bellagio town hall website) are confusing renditions of the town, they are cute but not helpful. Here's what you need to know: the closest parking is near the ferry stops, just south of the main part of town along the water. Parking sports marked by blue lines are paid parking, the machines are nearby to whatever spot you choose and you can use a credit card. They charge 2 Euro/ hr from 0800-2000 daily. The spots marked by white lines are free to anyone and can be used for days at a time. They can be hard to find, but early in the morning and later in the evening when the day trippers leave, they start to open up. There are also yellow and green spots, as a visitor you can't use those so disregard. We lucked out with a free spot and didn't move our cars for 3 days.
We loved the apartment, which was centrally located and beautifully equipped. Its setting in the historical church square made the surrounding scenes always interesting and gave easy to access restaurants & shops. The views from all windows were superb because Bellagio is a beautiful town set in spectacular scenery.
We absolutely loved this place. Great neighborhood with food/wine/gelato shop close by and town square out the front door. Very quiet for sleeping. Good communication with Daniella and great check in video. Also air conditioning was a bonus . Highly recommend.
Property was better than we expected. Very clean, views were fantastic. It was easy to find with google maps and Daniellaâs check in video. Best location in town in my opinion.
Wonderful stay! So clean! Great air conditioning!! Right in the middle of everything!!! Coffee shop right next door! View of the lake out the kitchen window!
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Several Issues. Not as advertised. Disappointing.
Sorry to have to write this review but I donât want others to be so disappointed. There is an issue with hot water, I was told the air conditioning is not working (that didnât matter to me), the double bed is two single mattresses put together, the TV size is that of a monitor (indicative of other things not disclosed), very very poor toiletries, no kitchen paper towels, Very high kitchen cupboards so you couldnt get to most things, I could go on. The view of the lake is good and the property is very clean and itâs a nice location but the amenities must be advertised accurately and hot water is non negotiable! The owner did refund a night I couldnât stay because of a train strike but expect it was to make up for the water issue - that was not the only issue though. Just not a good experience. Also, at least 4 flights of stairs to get to the property. Not an issue for me but again, undisclosed. The property has a lot of potential but right now itâs not worth it.
Also, hard to get hold of the owner if you donât have an Italian SIM card on your phone. She seems to be very busy and rushed and focused on other properties which may be more lucrative. Also, the property is not on Via Roma so you canât Google itâs location accurately.
Stayed at this apartment in the middle of Bellagio for 5 nights in mid-May 2019. I was sold by the pictures of the balcony off the bedroom (& bathroom) that I saw online, and it didn't disappoint. We had coffee and breakfast in the sun each morning, and then aperitif in the afternoon. There is also a Juliet balcony off the kitchen where we could watch the sunset views. The apartment itself was clean and very quiet, even though it's in the middle of Bellagio. It was fun to return during the day when all the day trippers were admiring the town and we could disappear into our private oasis in the midst of the hub-bub. Most of the crowds leave by dinner, and then it was very quiet. The only downside was actually finding the place to check in (VRBO doesn't actually give the location), but once we found it, Daniella was great and we had no complaints at all. One last thing -- I was concerned that the church bells would ring all night and be disturbing, but even though we were right across the small piazza, the bells never disturbed and were quite charming. I think the first bell went at 8 AM, and we wanted to get up and enjoy Bellagio anyway.
This property had the exact feel I wanted for our trip to Lake Como. Lake view from one window and courtyard in the other. Could see both from our bed. Convenient for walking everywhere and became familiar with our neighborhood. Would definitely come back here again. Daniela was a wonderful help and made everything easy.
