This was our third time staying at the property and once again it was a pleasure staying here. Everything you need for a stay in St Ives and the location is perfect for access to the town and the beaches. Will be booking again for next year.
This was a lovely holiday cottage in the perfect location. Only a short walk to all the beaches and the town centre. The house is lovely and big with 4 double bedrooms. The balcony is perfect for enjoying an evening glass of wine in the sun!
Love this property, superbly furnished on all 3 floors. Very comfortable and everything you need in a kitchen. Close to the beach and the Harbour. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Would certainly book again
The property is lovely with four good double bedrooms and all the required facilities. It is in a great location and only a couple of minutes walk into St Ives centre.
Good size family accommodation, Good location for beach and town.
Nice big family house, plenty of room and very good location. Couple of minor issues in my opinion was the state of the sofas which were old and tatty and uncomfortable, had throws over to cover them up, and the front and back patio areas were very untidy and over grown so couldn't sit out.
Overall great holiday by all and would book again.
Thanks
Perfect location for town, beaches and public transport. Cottage well equipped, lounge needs new sofaâs they are rather old, tatty and uncomfortable (applicable if staying out of season). We bought throws for them ( was told soft furnishings had been removed due to covid). Lovely week.
Lovely, quirky cottage right in the middle of St Ives. Balcony on the top floor was great for chilling and taking in the view. Used the back door most of the time to get into town /beach as quite steep path to the front. No parking so we bought a week parking permit before we came to allow us to park in most council car parks. The railway one was nearest but often full. We used the Trenwith one otherwise which was never full but a good quarter of a hour's walk from the cottage.
Comfy beds, good shower, separate toilet a Godsend, well stocked kitchen.
Would definitely be happy to book again.
Just returned from another excellent stay at this property, perfect location and property is an idea size ( 4 adults and 3 children). Host is excellent at communicating and I would definitely recommend.
We had a super week in the cottage. Great outdoor space and position to beaches and shops. Inside the cottage has everything has need, the kitchen is well kitted out and the sitting/dining room is comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Special oasis in the centre of St Ives with splendid balcony views
Most attractive, spacious and light filled house. Very well appointed and equipped, with precious, private outside space right in the centre of St Ives. We loved staying here!
We had a lovely week and the location of the property was ideal having stayed in and around St Ives on many previous occasions. On arrival the house was not as clean as expected - carpet in the lounge area, Sofas in the lounge area, handles of the toaster in the kitchen and general dustiness on floors and some shelves/stair trims etc. WIFI access was very poor as was the TV connectivity.
The shower in the bathroom needs attention as it drips continuously and the bath is very slow to drain away. We were a little concerned that many of the electrical appliances in bedrooms and main rooms are connected with extension cables - in some cases, such as the lounge, there were a number of different electrical items connected to the same 13amp socket.
The bedrooms were comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. Each bedroom was well appointed and the balcony was great!
There was no information about recycling our rubbish. We put the bin out as requested and the recycling bags. The bags were not emptied so information on this would be helpful.
None of the above are major issues but if addressed we would seriously consider booking this property again.
This is a beautiful house with lovely views from the balcony and several outdoor areas. The outside hot shower was a great treat after cold sea swims ! We had a flash flood one night and the owner drove 5 hours through the night to clean up the property.
Lovely house with great facilities. Beautiful sea view from the balcony off the master bedroom and better than we expected. Great to be able to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Excellent location in beautiful St Ives.
Would book again for a family holiday. Thank you for the champagne and chocolates too x
Extremely well equipped, thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable cottage, Location was excellent for quick access to harbour, beaches and shops. Really enjoyable stay -thank you
A beautiful house, really well finished and perfectly located for a stay in St Ives.
6 of us (toddler, kid, parents, sister and grandparent) stayed here for a week and loved it. Itâs a great size and well laid out so we were all together, but had enough space to not be on top of one another.
Itâs well decorated and you can see the owner has really put care into the house.
Communication with the owner was a pleasure everything went smoothly with the check-in etc.
Really recommend this place - weâll hopefully be staying there again in future!
Beautifully presented home in a great location for enjoying St Ives beaches pubs and shops
We really enjoyed our first visit to Cornwall. The home is exactly as described and was perfect for our family of 4. The owner Claire was very helpful.

The house was well equipped and conveniently situated, and with plenty of room for us all
We had a great holiday with everything we needed at the House. It's a classic St Ives cottage but scaled up for 8 people. The location is convenient for the town and the Harbour and everything worked!
Happily married with four wonderful children Live in Shropshire but my heart is in St Ives Cornwall Spent most summers of my life in St Ives and would rather be there than anywhere Love ; My Family, St Ives, Paris, property, nature, antique dolls, art and life And always try to live life to the full
I have spent most summers of my life in St Ives and since a child always dreamt of buying a house there. This dream came true in 2011 and I'm never happier than when I'm there. 4 Skidden Gardens is our precious family holiday home. A light and spacious Georgian town house built of Cornish granite located right in the centre of St Ives and only 100 metres from the sea! We have so many happy memories of our holidays in this wonderful old house in its great location and one day hope to live in it permanently, but until then we would like to share it with you . St Ives is magical . The light and atmosphere is so special ..like nowhere else , with it's five beautiful white sandy beaches and the sea a stunning azure blue and so clear .. It is truly unique !
We love the fact that the house is so convenient for everything...in the very heart of St Ives yet located in a quiet row just 100metres from the sea!! It benefits from having its own lovely south facing garden to the front ( a rarity in St Ives so near to the sea) and an attractive courtyard to the rear with an outside hot/cold shower for use when returning from a good day at the beach. It also has a fabulous balcony with wonderful harbour and sea views. Westcotts Quay is just 100 metres from our doorstep and the famous Porthminster beach is just around the corner and on the very special days, when the tide reveals even more of St Ives' beautiful white sands, You can walk from here to Smeatons Pier over the harbour beach and to Porthminster without leaving the beach (please see photos)
