Swallows Nest St Davids, familial, calme, courts séjours en basse saison

Le nid d'hirondelles peut accueillir de 4 à 6 personnes et dispose d'un chauffage au sol. Il y a une grande salle de bain attenante à côté de la principale chambre double king size avec baignoire et douche. Lits jumeaux dans la chambre en mezzanine.

Canapé-lit double dans le salon. Lit de voyage et lit simple amovible. Grand poêle à bois, parquet en chêne et escalier en chêne fait main. Une grande cuisine familiale et table à manger avec cuisinière et grand jardin. Nous acceptons les animaux bien élevés. Machine à laver, micro-ondes, DVD et WIFI gratuit. Dehors, il y a un grand jardin avec barbecue et terrasse.

En juillet et août, nous ne prenons que 7 réservations de nuit du samedi au samedi. En dehors de ces dates, veuillez nous contacter pour plus de détails sur les pauses basse saison, courtes et dernières minutes

We very much enjoyed our 4 night break at Swallows Nest over Christmas. The tree and festive touches made it even more beautiful, the cottage provided everything and more to ensure the most comfortable stay. The underfloor heating kept the cottage lovely and warm, so we didn’t feel the need to light the wood burner but there was kindling and a basket of logs provided if you wished to. We will definitely be returning, as the cottage is so lovely and it’s location is great for us to explore more of Pembrokeshire.

Comfortable clean accommodation with lots of space for the family A nice garden with decking and a sunny spot to sit and relax and great for the dog.A good location gallery on site , 10 mins by car to st David’s and white sands beach Other beaches and harbours also close by Ben and Anne are great communicative hosts We had a really nice time Highly recommend and we will be returning next summer Swallows nest is cosy with under floor heating and fantastic wood burner Great for winter beach and coastal path walks too

Cosy property near lovely beach

We had a great time staying as a family. It was a perfect base for a sunny trip to Whitesands Bay and as a really cosy place (log burner) to come back to after visiting the Puffins on a rainy afternoon on Skomer Island. All as described and owner really responsive. Hope to return.

The house is lovely and quiet. The location is a very quick drive from St. Davids. Everything went smoothly and the hosts were responsive and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay again. Thank you.

Perfect escape

I was escaping from fireworks with a friend and my dog and we didn’t hear any bangs or see any flashes! The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and Ann and Ben were very accessible. Personally I think they could ease up on the COVID adapted rules but I suppose everyone has different feelings about that. Although remote it’s less than 10 minutes’ drive to Whitesands beach and St David’s airfield was also a great place to walk.

Quiet, comfortable get away from it all holiday

Converted barn which has been done very nicely. We took our 2 small dogs and there is plenty of walking paths across fields - dogs on leads. Probably 4 miles from the coast. Very quiet, beautiful night sky with little light pollution. A comfortable stay in a convenient location if you don't mind a long walk to the beach, or are happy to drive.

A lovely stay - home from home

Nice quiet spot. Super location 10 minute drive to St David's or Porthgain for an excellent pub - The Sloop Inn, or to the coastal trail.

Second visit even better

We had good memories of our stay here last year and we were not disappointed this year. It was really peaceful and relaxing, a pleasure to stay in. Also a really good place from which to explore the area, get to the sea etc and so nice to get back to.

Overall the property is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen, an unexpected drying room and plenty of outside garden space. The quiet location is a short drive from St Davids means it is easy to enjoy all that the city has to offer, the beautiful local beaches such as Whitesands and the coastal path. The only minor negative was that due to the ages of the children, we found that as a result of the the second bedroom being on a mezzanine level directly off the lounge we were unable to use the lounge as much as we would have liked in the evening.

Just another diamond day in Pembrokeshire.

We really liked Swallows Nest. It is a very well done conversion ( in our opinion!) and a pleasure to stay in. You can walk directly from it to the coast and coast path and we picked loads of blackerries! Pretty easy to get to and from St Davids and Solva. We had a great week and regretted having to leave.

Very well converted and welcoming property. Despite wet and windy weather we enjoyed returning to Swallows Nest after full days out to light the wood burner and enjoy a glass of wine.

Wonderful cottage in perfect location

Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage, in a perfect location a few minutes' drive from St David's and several fantastic beaches. We went sea kayaking, surfing and coasteering, jumped 30ft off the side of a quarry into the sea, took a boat trip to see puffins and porpoise, and went on loads of beautiful cliff-top walks to isolated little beaches. Beautiful wild flowers, nice cafes and restaurants, very friendly and helpful owners, perfect holiday. Just be aware that the only shower and bath in the cottage are in the ensuite of the double bedroom, which might not be ideal for some groups. Shower is great. Wifi mostly good with occasional problems for an hour or two. Back garden not fully enclosed so dog can get round to the front - not ideal, and hopefully owners will sort that out, but it's a quiet place so wasn't a big problem for us. All in all, we had a brilliant time. Would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful, beautiful 'Swallows Nest'

We had a fantastic time in 'Swallows Nest'. It is such a beautiful, tastefully decorated cottage with everything you need for your stay! The location is ideal for exploring St David's and the surrounding area. We were lucky enough to have great weather, which allowed us to sit outside and also enjoy the garden and the sky at night was breath-taking! So many clear stars to look at! We also had the company of a really friendly little cat! Anne, the owner couldn't have been anymore helpful; she was fantastic! Our only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough......but we are already planning our next visit! Perfect cottage, perfect location, perfect hosts!! Ian, Beth, Lily, John & Claire.

Charming "nest"

We had a wonderful stay. Swallow's Nest was great - warm, cozy yet roomy, comfortable, clean, attractive, easy wifi, the kitchen well-equipped ... We liked it so much we stayed an extra day. Excellent location, wonderful hosts. Ben and Anne made us feel quite welcomed and they provided great suggestions for enjoying our time. We hope to go back and will most definitely recommend the cottage to friends and family.

We live in St Davids and Ben my partner renovated Swallows Nest himself. He is a carpenter and green woodworker with his workshop near the barn so you can come and see him making stools and chairs.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We renovated the barn and when we bought it in 2007 it was a cowshed with cows in it! It is now a luxury barn conversion with underfloor heating throughout and a large woodburner. Swallows Nest is at Tregydd farm a quite location just a mile and a half from St Davids. The farm is no longer a working farm but there are horses and chickens.

Pembrokeshire is a fabulous area and we have lived here for about 15 years. The beaches are some of the cleanest and quietest in Britain and our local beach Whitesands is a blue flag beach and is great for families.

Swallows Nest is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and has some of the most beautiful walks in the country right on the doorstep.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There is a large garden and we are happy to have visitors with dogs, please enquire if you would like to bring a dog. The underfloor heating is powered with a ground source heat pump, whilst our electricity is provided by Green Energy. We endeavour to use environmentally friendly cleaning / laundry / washing up products, making Swallows Nest an ethical choice for visitors.
