Family holiday home that is let out when not in use.
Great place to stay, has everything you might need. The location is epic, I would recomend stopping here to anyone.
Wonderful location and very cosy cottage. Had a lovely stay exploring the coast and enjoying the sea. Check in process was very easy. Cottage perfectly located and was actually much larger than expected!
Just the lovely relaxing rest I needed and perfect weather
The house was relaxing and well equipped with a lovely view of the sea from the bedroom window.
I personally could have done without the smelly josh stick thingys as I am prone react with headaches but thatâs just personal taste
Obviously a well loved family house
This is our third time staying at Beach Cottage since 2017 and itâs become a family favourite for our 2 girls (6 & 10).
We love the traditional cottage with its beach location - the girls are old enough now to go off and have adventures on the beach as itâs so quiet and familiar to us.
If you want a rustic Cottage right on the beach, in a quiet remote setting then this is as good as it gets.
Great walks on the Coastal Path, St Davids is 20mins away by car, a nice beach (rocky at high tide but a big sandy beach at low tide - good for surfing and body boarding as much as swimming, seals frolicking in the waves around you.
Just idyllic and I know weâll be back in another couple of years once again.
Shame about the distance to the garden. For older people a handrail is needed for the stairs, and there are many levels which could be tripped over. Very attractive objects abound but general decor could have been better. Not brilliant value for money.
This cottage was all that I wanted it to be, right next to the beach and sea, so that guests can wander out there at any time of day, or night. All the rooms were comfortable and had an ancient solidity. This house has the warmth of being a well-loved family holiday home for many years. We enjoyed it so much and found our stay too short, so, although the price has increased considerably, we have booked it again for next year.
It is a shame that the view from the windows towards the sea is cluttered by the commercial paraphernalia of car parking cabin, ice cream van and coasteering trip van, but they have a living to make. The car parking impacted us less than we anticipated. We very much enjoyed finding how many artists have taken the cottage as an iconic subject of paintings and photographs, and one can quite understand why. One evening when the tide was out we were lucky enough to witness a complete double rainbow in the sky over the group of cottages and its reflection in the wet sand completing the circle. There must have been at least one pot of gold.
Been staying in this wonderful cottage over this last week, the cottage is absolutely beautiful and we have had the wonderful holiday. This is such a special place, we are already looking at dates for next year.
After holidaying for 40 years in Devon, weve now been converted to Abereiddy.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love The Gardners xx
Abereiddy is an incredible spot and the cottage leading directly to the beach is just perfectly located.
We came 3 years ago and loved it then and loved it just as much this time. 3 good sized bedrooms and a lovely living space with a well stocked kitchen means itâs an easy and relaxing way to spend a week or two.
If you want perfect WiFi, a full phone signal and lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance then look elsewhere.
We recommend the cottage to anyone who wants a quiet break away from it all and to enjoy the peace that comes with it.
Lovely cottage in superb location right on beach front - ideal for lovely coastal walks and the Blue Lagoon. Very prompt and helpful correspondence from Margaret. However, we were disappointed to find upon arrival that the house did not feel clean and Covid friendly. We spent the first few hours of our visit washing all crockery, glasses and cutlery having found several dusty, sticky items in the cupboards. There were so many ornaments covering every surface, which although gave a "cottage ambience" - were often old and covered in dust/grime. The soft furnishings, furniture and pictures throughout equally had the same very tired, cluttered and grubby feel. A broken chair had been left in the kitchen and the shower did not work upstairs. It really felt as though the furniture and decor need updating. Although hand gel and cleaning products had been kindly provided, recommendations for rental properties in Covid times did not appear to have been adhered to - what a pity for such a lovely cottage! This is our 4th visit to rental properties in the Abereiddy area this year - and was unfortunately by far the least well maintained.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Beach Cottage. We enjoyed the beach, rock pools, walk to Porthgain and the lovely scenery. Had a nice dinner at The Shed in Portgain (you will need to book in advance). We enjoyed using the secret garden too! Just a shame the weather was not great!
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The location is second-to-none and by 7pm we had the beach to ourselves. The cottage is charming and comfortable and equipped with everything youâll need.
We had a very enjoyable week in this cosy traditional Pembrokeshire cottage conveniently right on the beach at Abereiddy. The cottage is well equipped throughout. Peaceful location and swimming/surfing on the beach is good. Availability of other coastal activities such as coasteering and kayaking also from the beach during the day. The beach faces west for relaxing evenings watching the sunset. Excellent cliff walking. e.g. Round trip walk along the coastal path to Porthgain for lunch at the Sloop Inn or The Shed. And cliff walk to Traethlyvn beach, a beautiful rugged sandy beach not accessible by road.
Margaret was excellent at answering emails and giving me relevant information prior to our stay. The property was full of charm, clean and in the most perfect location for a beach holiday.
We had a lovely week at Beach Cottage, the location to the beach is just fabulous. However, it says itâs suitable for babies/children, I would slightly disagree. We had an 11 month old & 22 month old in our party & the very hard tile floors throuought the downstairs & number of small steps around made it tricky to navigate & hazardous for that age range. So if booking, I would say itâs maybe more suitable for either pre crawlers or preschoolers plus, but avoid the anything in between age. Aside from that the cottage is comfortable & well
equipped. I really loved it & would happily visit again once the children are a little older.
Property lived up to expectations. Lovely cottage with lots of things provided for the garden and kitchen. All those bits and bobs you may have forgotten were in a cupboard or draw which took away any âI forgot that âThe only thing not there was a bbq which we brought ourselves.
The cottage had a number of books and maps for walks which we used. St Davidâs is lovely and the walks in and around the area are beautiful. The beach is just outside the door and if you like kayaking, surfing or Coasteering it an excellent place to get into it. The only downside is that quite a lot of other people use the beach for that too! The location although quite out of the way is one known for its amenities when it comes to water sports. That said perfect location and base and would highly recommend. There are some lovely restaurants near by. The Shed bistro was excellent for food and atmosphere.

Beautiful views with stunning surroundings
Loved it. Beautiful beach front property with stunning views. Amazing location for walks.
Beach Cottage has been owned by my family since the 1950s and my husband and I took it over in 1980. It is our only holiday cottage and we love it. We have seen a lot of changes during those years from a sleepy hamlet where cattle grazed and geese swam on the small pond to the popular beach loved by locals and visitors alike, as it is today. We enjoy looking after Beach Cottage and hope that those who stay there enjoy themselves too.
My father bought the cottage in the 1950s so that family and friends could have access to a holiday by the sea. So many of us are grateful to him for his foresight.
Young and old alike enjoy being so close to the beach, rock pools and surf as well as the Coastal Path for long or short walks. The wildlife that can be seen at different times of year is remarkable.
