We loved our long weekend staying at Summer Haven - the house was perfect, with so much room in the communal areas. Little Haven is a wonderful place that we are fortunate to have visited many times. Clive (the host) was very responsive and helpful, I would recommend this lovely property to everyone!
Short break with family in Feb half term. Fantastic house with lots of space. Little Haven on the doorstep with lovely restaurants and pubs and of course the sea! Broad haven a short walk away with a small supermarket and more places to eat and a beautiful beach.
Amazing views from a spacious and well furnished house. It was a home from home - beds soooo comfortable and everything we needed. Little Haven is a 2 minute walk away and has a great beach with 3 lovely pubs. All in all a fabulous place to stay.
Great place to stay if you want peace and quiet but also easily walkable to beach, pubs etc. itâs set back from the road so very peaceful and there are great walks from the door up through the woods if you have a dog. Not suitable for old people or families with babies in prams as it would be hard work getting everything / everyone up the steps!
As described. Great house and really spacious. Very clean. Really close to Little Havens cafes and pubs so a brilliant all round space. I didn't read the description fully so the stairs were a bit of a shock for the older parents we had with us (my fault) but actually we got used to them pretty quick. Amazing views out of the windows especially in the main living area.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house which, owing to the location felt like a tree house. Well equipped and comfortable. Written instructions as well as post code would make finding the location easier.
This was a really lovely house to stay for a week in Little Haven. It was very quiet, just a five minute walk into Little Haven which is a very sweet village. The house was easy to use, well equipped(butt need to bring bath and hand towels) and the heating was perfectly set so we didnât not have to change the settings at all(mid to late October). The stairs were not a problem for any of us who were all in late 70s.
Our stay in Summerhaven was lovely. The house is super, clean, very light and lots of space. The area is just wonderfull. Those stairs are a good excercise every day, but I can imagine not very easy for some people. Our respect for Clive and Sheila for letting us stay in their beautiful house!
Great weekâs holiday in this beautiful house. Very peaceful and private, loved listening to the birds in all the surrounding vegetation. Everything in the house was to a very high standard- furnishings, beds white goods. Great TV for men to watch the football! A perfect getaway from city life. We will be back! Thank you.
Exceptional property with quality fittings and fixtures making it feel like a real home from home. Despite the beautiful village being a stone's throw away, we actually found it difficult to get out at times due the comfort of the house and with the huge windows and views, we felt like we were getting a taste of the outside without actually having to venture out!!!This was our second stay here and it will always be our first choice of property down West for future visits.
Light, quiet, well-equipped and restful. Great social space & lovely woodland setting.
Even in mid-December with rainy & windy weather, this place was delightful. We enjoyed walks straight from the door, short drives to many beautiful places nearby. Itâs an easy walk into Little Haven and not much further over the hill to Broad Haven. The house has everything we couldâve wanted. We enjoyed the exercise of going up and down the steps to the front door. Remember to bring your own towels.
We had a great time, the house was fantastic and had everything we needed.
Excellent house, in a lovely location.one upset however it was at 5.00pm on our last night the power went off. We tried the trip switch lots of times but kept on cutting out. Used a torch to get to bed, Did not spoil our break.
We (2 adults, 4 young adults) had a very comfortable enjoyable stay in Summerhaven. We loved the secluded property which is exactly as shown in photos and super clean. Itâs a five minute walk to Little Haven and perfectly located for the coast/coastal walks.
For anyone wanting a bit of fun and adventure would highly recommend coasteering with TYF who are based in St Davidâs.
One suggestion that would have enhanced our stay would be that information, which I assume would have ordinarily been left about the house/local area, be emailed to guests before their visit.
Would love to come back sometime.
A short stroll from Little Haven, and not much of a walk (along the beach) to Broad Haven - we were able to pop down to the beach pretty impulsively, depending on the start of surf and tide.
The property description is very clear about the steps up to the house, so unless you're confident in being able to handle these, then this isn't the place for you.
The large open plan main room is very comfortable, with lots of room and a pleasant aspect out onto the trees that surround the property. Bedrooms are reasonably-sized and all beds were very comfortable.
We had a great week, and would definitely use Summerhaven again.
What an impressive property and a great host - I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stop in the area. Itâs only a short walk in to the town/village (roughly 10 minutes) where thereâs a few nice pubs and cafes. A really good location for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
Beautiful house in the trees, just up from the beach.
This is a lovely place to stay. The house is just as good as you see in the pictures. Morning sunlight streams through the windows. The small balcony is beautiful for breakfast. We cycle and run. There are beautiful trails from the door. Itâs all that we hoped for. Clive was very responsive and helpful.
Property was warm and welcoming
Little Haven is totally unspoilt, perfect if you just want to 'stand and stare'
Perhaps some lighting on the outside stairs is needed ( we had to use our phones to see)
Really enjoyed walking at Marloes and the food at Runwayskiln
The area is not for those who need to be entertained but it was perfect for us
The stairs certainly get the old cardio in shape! Very comfortable and spatious modern house in quiet seclusion. Easy walk down to the beach for a lovely evening stroll.
Our family have been holidaying in Pembrokeshire for over 10 years and never tire of the beauty, variety and peace to be found here. It is truly an undiscovered gem where you can escape to the golden sandy beaches along quiet roads and yet all is within easy reach of the M4.
As our children have grown they have graduated from exploring rock pools to enjoying the adrenalin rush of coasteering, surfing, riding and climbing. There really is something for everyone here.
Summerhaven was designed and built on the site of a cedarwood chalet by local architects and building contractors and we completed our 'dream project' late in 2013. Summerhaven is now our 'home from home' and we are delighted to invite other families to come and discover the unspoilt and beautiful county of Pembrokeshire.
Little Haven is beautifully placed to explore Pembrokeshire. Nestled in the corner of St Brides's bay you have easy access to the whole county, including the matchless coastal path, whilst staying in the welcoming and well appointed village. Summerhaven offers a unique contemporary living space to relax in at the end of a busy day exploring.
