We had a wonderful relaxing stay in the most beautiful surroundings. The Shed is a great location, very peaceful and private.Tina and Jeffrey are wonderful hosts. They made us feel welcome, everything was most carefully prepared for us.
Can not fault the property, it was clean and had everything we needed. The host was great and their dog is very friendly. Great location to explore the Kent countryside. Can not recommend them enough.
Wonderful quite location, warm and cosy place to stay. Tina and Jeremy are so welcoming and the dog was really friendly. We highly recomment this place.
Beautiful, light and spacious cottage with excellent interaction with the owners, Tina and Jeremy.
Great place to stay in beautiful and uncrowded Romney Marsh area. Great for birding nearby at Dungeness RSPB. Tour of local churches is highly recommended.
Very nice couple, very friendly and welcoming!
The apparment has everything that you need!
Love the sparrows and the lovely garden!

Very cosy and comfortable property in a great location for exploring the Kent coast and countryside.
We had a lovely warm welcome from Tina and Jeremy and enjoyed our second stay here very much, the house is very well equipped and we had everything we needed.
We had a great stay at the shed. Lovely, cosy property with wonderful views and quiet enough to hear the birds. Tina and Jeremy left some thoughtful touches with everything as we needed it. Close to great places to visit and nice country walks. Thank you very much
What a lovely little find. Weâve stayed in numerous holiday cottages over the past 5 years and this one was by far the most comforting/homely. Lovely personal touches included homemade shortbread, toiletries in the bathroom and a lovely welcome message. The owners were very nice and didnât hesitate to help with anything we needed. Iâd definitely recommend The Shed! The location was lovely too, not too far from big towns and cities but far away from the hustle and bustle.
The Shed was a wonderful place to relax in and enjoy the beautiful countryside views.
Tina was very welcoming and everything we could possibly need was provided even hot water bottles, had it been cold enough. Lots of interesting information provided on places to go and the history of The Old Oak and the croissants, eggs and other goodies were very much appreciated.
Sitting in the garden looking out onto the fields was idyllic.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay, I only wish we could have stayed for longer.
Lovely place to stay. Tina and Jeremy such nice hosts. We used to live a short distance away and came back to visit our old friends. Wonderful break and fun sightseeing. Rye, Snargate, Dymchurch, NewRomney, Appledore antiques. and lots more. Thank you. Irene Xx
The Shed is so much more than the name suggests. We absolutely loved it, Tina left us fresh milk and the most yummy homemade biscuits, and other goodies. Even a message on the window! So personal. Everything you could need is there. Loved the very enthusiastic Retriever dogs, private garden and breathtaking views.
Made to feel so welcome.
The Shed was a beautiful property to stay in- very pretty. The hosts were kind and friendly but not interfering. There were a few nice touches such as posies of flowers and a few treats in the kitchen. It was a cool but sunny week and the Shed was warm and comfortable. There was loads to do every day- we stayed 5 nights. We'd recommend Canterbury Cathedral (the architecture was stunning. We enjoyed seeing the crypt too. After spending time in the town, which was characterful too, we returned for Evensong) Sissinghurst gardens (worth a visit even though main summer planting isn't out as spring planting was lovely), Dungeness (although there's the power station, the shingle beach with the old boats was unique and beautiful. The Seafood Shack was lovely too but has very limited opening times). Walks in the lanes and along the canal are nice too- we walked to Saint Romwold's church which was pretty. Overall a prefect get-away for a few days. Thank you.
Itâs not often we say a stay is brilliant however on this occasion it was. Great hosts welcoming, considerate and good communication. âThe Shedâ is definitely not a shed. Itâs beautifully and artistically decorated, warm, comfortable and everything you would need. Now weâve had two nights we plan to be back for a week. Wonderful area looking out on Romney marsh, quiet and peaceful a special time.
The Shed gave us a perfect "home" to explore the marshes. Tina and Jeremy had thought of everything necessary (and more) for a wonderful short break before winter sets in!
What wonderful property. The Shed is an amazing place to spend a few days relaxing and exploring the local area. Tina and Jeremy are wonderful hosts and Holly was there to greet us everytime we came home.
We pottered around Dymchurch, Canterbury, Hythe amd Rye and really enjoyed our visit to Dover Castle.
Would highly recommend.
A little of the beaten path, but that just makes it better
Thereâs so much to say, starting with the wonderful hosts, who made us feel welcome long before we arrived. They were keen to help introduce my dog-phobic wife to Holly, their beautiful golden retriever. And it worked. Holly is every bit as sweet as advertised.
The place has several windows that allow for a pleasant breeze to flow through. Itâs filled with art, mementos and helpful advice to help find things to keep you busy.
Visited Dover Castle and Canterbury, but our most memorable time was sharing a short visit with our hosts, learning about their family and the last 50 years theyâve lived in the former pub that is their home next door.
Lovely self catering space above their workshop. The views across the Marsh flatness all around were beautiful. The owner is an artist, and has tastefully painted some of the walls with nature scenes. Wi Fi was good. Kitchen has utensils, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, etc... all that's needed to cook a meal.
There is something for everyone - churches from Canterbury cathedral to the little gems on the marsh; castles galore like Leeds, Bodiam and Dover with its wartime history; enchanting villages and small towns like Rye, Whitstable, Tenterden and Hythe; extraordinary Chatham Docks; the seaside just 3 miles away and Folkestone with its world famous Triennial Art Exhibition. A day trip to London or France is quite feasible with a return to your own cosy peaceful place to stay. It is 25 minutes to the Ashford International with Eurostar and fast link to London (37mins to St Pancras) and 20mins to the Eurotunnel. Golf is available at Littlestone and Rye etc. And for shoppers there is the famous McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Centre 2mins from Ashford Station with bargains for all!
There are views over the pretty country garden across the sweeping fields of Romney Marsh. Our house was once The Royal Oak pub and dates back to the 1740s with lots of local history we can share with you. The battle of Britain was fought in the skies above and the wonderful memorial museum is now open near Folkestone. There are delightful country and village pubs we can tell you all about! The Marsh has always been the artist's dream with its huge skies and luminous light.
