Great spot to sit and chill. Magical view of a cove and marshland with Shelter Island in the background. Tons of outdoor space to either sit with people or get away from them. Kayaks and paddle boards available and the private beach is a short walk or short paddle away.
Had an absolutely fantastic time! The house is perfectly located. It is tucked away in a beautiful inlet that is gorgeous and peaceful. In addition, it is a quick drive to the heart of greenport. In addition, the house was filled with bikes, kayaks, and other equipment that was accessible to the renters and allowed us to get out and explore the beautiful surroundings. Would definitely rent here again!
We had a dreamy time at Winston and Tricia's home. The setting is perfect, right on the water. We spent every day outside, reading on the lawn chairs or paddling out to the little peninsula beach. We grilled every day, dining in style on the long farmhouse style table outside. Needless to say, none of us wanted to go home. This is a family home, with all that that entails. So that means there is a little more clutter in the house than the photos show. It's a lived-in space. We found that charming, and certainly appreciated how loved the house must be by this family. We loved it, too.
The property was beautiful and in a great location. The home was charming and had plenty of space for friends and family. Unfortunately, there were issues with the stove and a gas leak which prohibited us from cooking two of the 3 nights. A repair service came but it was not remedied.
I had a great time with my family this summer. The house is very nice and cozy, Iâll miss the bay view from the porch. Lots of kayaks, paddle boards to enjoy.
Tricia and Winston were very polite responding right away to any question
A perfect property for spending time with family. This home is fully stocked for a nice vacation. Private dock, private beach, views that will make you want to never leave. We have been traveling to this area for over 30 years and hope to stay here again in the future.
We had a great stay. View of the Bay is fabulous and beach is an easy walk or kayak ride to get to. Bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, and other beach equipment was available. It is a convenient location to get to Greenport or other sites on the North Fork.
House was perfect in so many ways. The location was quaint and picturesque. The property was even better than the photos showed. Each detail very well thought out. Stylish interior without too much fuss.
The dock and water activities were perfect for our family. The beach (a short walk) is a bit rocky at first but as you walk along becomes sandier.
The kitchen is well equipped with nice pots and pans not those non stick toxic ones at most rentals. We always bring our own pots and pans but didnât need them. Great stay all around!
Unbelievable view super clean house great set up ..kitchen perfect...great location if u love to cook and entertain ....close to everything but off the beaten path private beach access fished a bit....kids kayaked and sup ...already planning next stay here...
We had a great weekend here. Great location just out of town on the bay. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, very quiet. Not exactly luxurious, but plenty of amenities including a Sonos sound system throughout the house and a double-sided fireplace. Unfortunately, it was too cold for the outdoor shower. Maybe next time...
Amazing house on a quiet stretch of the North Fork.
Perfect setting to spend Christmas with our family. Amazing view, chimney fires, walk on the beach and sound system! The house had everything we could hope for. Thanks to to our hosts for making us feel at home.

Great Waterfront Property
We just returned home after visiting your wonderful home in Southhold. The house was great and provided us with everything we needed plus many extra's, canoes etc.Although only staying for a few days we managed to tour much of the North Fork.We also experienced a North Easter and were completely snug in your home.We hope to visit again perhaps during summer months when we can take more advantage of the water. It reminded me of Long Island as it was years passed.Would definitely recommend this rental.
A long rainy 4 day weekend was not awash! Despite the weather not cooperating we still have a great time. The room with the library and the wonderful views of the water and shelter island made up for it. Soo cozy and wonderful. Then there was the dinning room table, every meal with a view that felt like a banquet! Our son loved the rec room and us adults LOVED the sound system. It was a wonderful time and we can not wait to visit again!
A house whose space works well for adults and children. There is a sense of total privacy. The pictures do not lie. The views are magnificent. Whether sitting on the porch watching the sailboats or walking out on the spit of land that curves around in front of the house, you have a sense of peace.
The home is fully equipped, welcoming and comfortable. Share laughter, meals and make use of all of the water sports equipment available. And just sit back and have fun.
This was a great house for 3 couples to hang out at. Bedrooms are comfortable, and the house cozy. Kitchen, while small, is extremely well provisioned. Outside space is amazingWe especially enjoyed being right on the water, exploring the bay in the kayaks and on the SUPs. Outdoor shower was a big crowd pleaser. Location is also great for visiting vineyards and biking.
the waterfront and dock were absolutely lovely! We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the evening sitting outside on the lawn -- watching the inlet creek and all the various bird life. Quite relaxing.
This is a wonderful house with a fantastic view across to Shelter Island. Really peaceful setting. We had four adults and two kids and there was lots of room for everyone. The garden is a great size for the kids to run around and the house is set up nicely with a large dining table for all to congregate around. The owner, Winston, was extremely attentive to texts, responding right away to our questions.
I highly recommend this place. We did not want to leave!
We loved it. The kids loved it. It was great from the start, and continued to be so for our entire stay. We had originally thought we would spend more time wandering around town and the surrounding locations, but the house and yard are so lovely and peaceful, with much to do and see, we never really felt the need to leave other than for food.
Winston was extremely good about responding to questions and providing the necessary information regarding the house. Not that there were any issues, but I felt if there had been he would've responded promptly.
For any families that may be concerned about little children and the dock and the property's proximity to water.... The deepest part of the entire inlet might be three feet deep, depending on the tide. The water surrounding the dock itself is about a foot deep. Our stay was mid-April, so this may change throughout the year, but the water was far shallower than we had originally thought, and put us at ease with letting our children play on and around the dock.
We are architects living in Brooklyn, NY. We purchased this as a weekend house in late 2015 as a place for our family to experience the natural beauty and connection to the North Fork's epic Peconic Bay.
