Fern Cottage est une belle récemment restauré et amélioré chalet traditionnel niché dans un petit hameau à seulement 5 miles de la côte nord des Cornouailles plage idyllique et magique de Trebarwith Strand et sur le bord de la zone sauvage et belle Rugueux Tor de Bodmin Moor. Pour 6 personnes et plus dans 3 chambres à coucher, ainsi que des options pour utiliser un lit et un lit futon double, le Fern Cottage dispose de 2 salles de bains, de 2 salons et d'une belle cuisine avec un Rayburn au cœur. En outre, nous offrons une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite (20Mb) et Freeview sur deux nouveaux téléviseurs à écran plat ainsi qu'un charmant petit jardin clos avec barbecue! Nous voulons qu'il soit facile pour famillies d'aller en vacances, donc pour ceux qui ont les plus jeunes clients, nous offrons stairgates robustes, Voyage bébé et siège chaise / d'appoint. Nous avons aussi body boards, des seaux et des pelles, des abris de soleil et parasols sont disponibles pour vous d'utiliser. Notre maison de la famille de la maison est maintenant disponible pour vous de louer! Animaux de compagnie: S'il vous plaît ne pas réserver jusqu'à ce que cela a été discuté. Un chien bien élevé qu'à la condition que le propre literie est fournie et votre animal de compagnie ne sont pas autorisés sur les meubles et ne doit en aucun aller à l'étage. frais de nettoyage supplémentaires seront perçus s'il y a des preuves de cela et cela peut inclure le coût des nouvelles literie ou housses de canapés. S'il vous plaît noter les semaines de location Fern Cottage vont du samedi au samedi.

Chauffage dans toute la maison est par panneaux chauffants électriques minces modernes. Le réchauffeur d'immersion maintient un approvisionnement abondant en eau chaude. Semaines courir samedi au samedi L'herbe dans le jardin ne pousse jamais car il est de la variété artificielle! S'il vous plaît ne pas utiliser le barbecue sur elle! Ceci est la maison de vacances de notre famille et vous êtes invités à utiliser l'un des DVD, des jouets, des livres ou du matériel que nous laissons de côté. S'il vous plaît être assez aimable pour les traiter avec soin et les laisser dans l'état où vous les avez trouvés. A l'extérieur: Le jardin - notre petite mais parfaitement formé du Sud jardin privé face est de niveau, clos et paisible. Meubles de patio et barbecue sont fournis pour les journées ensoleillées et des nuits chaudes! La Porcherie!- Notre ancien porcherie joliment aménagées (toutes les maisons de la rangée avait une pour la tenue d'un «cochon de famille» pour engraisser des grands jours et nous sommes chanceux d'avoir deux!) à l'arrière du jardin est maintenant une buanderie fine et atelier. Ici vous trouverez le barbecue, salon de jardin, un autre réfrigérateur, belfast évier, lave-linge et sèche-linge. Il y a aussi un stock de planches de surf, le crabe des lignes, des seaux et des pelles, des abris de soleil et un parasol pour les clients à utiliser! Buanderie: La buanderie Porcherie et atelier extérieur. réfrigérateur supplémentaire, évier Belfast, nouveau lave-linge et sèche-linge neuf. bodyboards, crabe-lignes, des seaux et des pelles, des abris de soleil et parasol, barbecue et meubles de jardin tous inclus pour vous d'utiliser. Nettoyage / serviettes / / Service de ménage: linge de lit est inclus, mais s'il vous plaît apporter votre propre literie de lit bébé. Les serviettes sont fournies pour une utilisation dans la maison seulement. S'il vous plaît apporter vos propres serviettes de plage. Notre femme de ménage est disponible en cas d'urgence et les coordonnées seront données pour vous avant l'arrivée. Autres: Glazed Porche - avec beaucoup d'espace pour les bottes boueuses! Le Jardin - notre petite mais parfaitement formé jardin est clos et paisible. Meubles de patio et barbecue sont fournis pour les beaux jours et les nuits chaudes.

Perfect holiday cottage

A real home from home; this beautiful cottage is cosy and welcoming. It is spacious and thoughtfully designed. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. In an ideal location near to the moor and the coast. All the facilities you need are nearby in Camelford. We had a wonderfully relaxing break in your fabulous holiday cottage. Thank you very much.

Cornwall stay

Fern cottage is a lovely little cottage. It’s let down by not being cleaned throughly. The cottage stank of dogs wee, the mop was disgusting and unfit to use. The kitchen work surfaces could do with being oiled as they are wooden and due for a good clean. Upstairs was clean, beds and bedding clean and fresh. However both bathrooms were not so I had to give them a good clean myself. Fern cottage could be really lovely with a competent cleaner and a lick of paint in the kitchen. Despite all this we did enjoy our stay, Fern cottage is ideally situated for lots of interesting places and I’m sure once these things are addressed we would like to return at some point.

Leaking roof - Needs to be fixed.

The house in itself is nice. It is in not a bad location and was warm and comfortable on a wet week in October. The main problem was that the roof leaks badly into the master bedroom, through a large plasterboard sheet with 8 halogen spotlights in it. The owner was called as soon as this was known, and advised it only happens when it rains hard. Which it did, every day. When mentioning the lights, I was advised that the electrical circuit was safe, which it can only be if done to marine specifications. You would fix the roof first! I shut down power to the master bedroom and located a bucket under the drip, however there is water evidence coming down into the lounge and the ceiling lights in the roof had started to fail. We moved to the second bedroom. Fix this and it is a good property. Until then it should not be used.

Thank you so much for choosing to stay at my cottage. I am so sorry about the roof. It has now been repaired and I can assure you it is weather tight again. It had not previously been an issue, but sadly on this occasion you were dogged by bad weather and this undermined an old repair. I tried so so hard to get the roofer in that week, but it was just impossible to get someone in in the end. When you called me I did offer you a part refund, but you said it was not a problem and that you would simply not use that room. I am slightly confused because you left a lovely note in our guest book. I can only apologise once again. 'Great week away at a lovely cottage. Loads of walks exploring all the local areas - Roughtor, Boscastle to Tintagel, Widemouth Bay, Polzeath to Rock are just a few. Food at The Mason's Arms, Peckfish and Hong Kong Island, Crab sandwich at the Crab Shack, Polzeath. Thank you. A lucky last minute find!'

Camelford comfy cottage

Had a lovely week staying in this unique stone cottage just outside Camelford. Great base for exploring many of Cornwalls popular towns and villages. Also close to Bodmin Moor, where a walk up Roughtor is a must! Camelford had an excellent pub and chip shop as well as a Spar and Co-op for essentials!

Cute cottage in reach of everywhere

We had such a lovely week in Fern Cottage. We were 3 adults and it had plenty of space for us to do things together- and separately! Very spacious bedrooms, 2 cosy sitting rooms and a kitchen complete with an Aga style stove. Camelford itself is not that exciting a place, but it has all you need and there are lovely walks very close to the house and fab beaches and other places not too far away. Host Julia could not have been more helpful or flexible- highly recommended!

Goregous Stay At Fern Cottage!

We had a wonderful week in Cornwall and Fern Cottage was an excellent base. A lovely, homely, quirky cottage which has been lovingly updated and enjoyed by others. Plenty of room for our three children, who loved the use of the body boards...and became quite addicted to the surf!! It was a great place to relax after a hard day eating fish and chips, ice creams and pasties!!

Fern Cottage is a cosy but deceptively spacious cottage in a pretty and quiet hamlet. It is in a perfect spot for trips to many beaches and popular towns and villages on the north Cornwall coast but also on the edge of Bodmin Moor so it provides the best of both worlds. Recommended for families, walkers and dog owners. The owners are very helpful and responsive and have created a homely and comfortable holiday home. It was a great pleasure to stay there and we hope to return. Thank-you

Lovely cottage which has been thoughtfully modernised in keeping with the original features.

Warm and welcoming with tea, coffee and biscuits. The cottage was quirky but with a delightful sun room and gorgeous master bedroom with en-suite. Close to picturesque spots such as Port Isaac, Padstow and Roughtor. Our October stay was blessed with good weather and we enjoyed blustery walks along the coast with our dog. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Great cottage, lovely location only a few miles from either the moors or the super beaches

We had a great stay, plenty of room for 5 adults and a teenager plus the dog. Within easy distance of great places to visit for days out, some lovely places to eat and relax. We had a great time despite the weather, only small issue was parking when we had 2 cars but managed to get one car where advised and the other in the next road. Will definitely be on our list to revisit.

We had a great time in fern cottage. Lovely furnished with everything you need and lots more. The Kids loved theyre room and all the toys for the beach, films and games. It was very clean and cosy and Julia always made so much possible for us. Thank you for this lovely holidays.

Lovely little cottage with all the home comforts.

Fern cottage is perfect for exploring the beautiful coast and inland to the moors. Really characterful and with a lovely little garden, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's ideal for families, very child friendly from the stair gates provided to the big box of family games and dvd's. Camelford village is a short walk away and has a wonderfully quirky pub with delicious food and a supermarket and take away options. We enjoyed the use of the barbecue at the cottage and were truly sorry to leave after a relaxing week. Definitely recommended!

Home from home

Really enjoyed our week in beautiful Cornwall and being able to come back to the lovely comfortable Fern Cottage. A fantastic base to explore Tintagel and a great National Trust Walk at Crackington Haven. We also enjoyed The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project and St Michaels Mount. Also so many lovely walks and breathtaking scenery. The cottage is very comfortable, feels homely and clean, a lovely touch was tea,milk and Cornish biscuits on arrival. OUR "FOODIE" HOLIDAY TO BEAUTIFUL CORNWAL

Oh how we wish we were back at Fern Cottage! It really is an idyllic holiday cottage nestled in a little Cornish hamlet. It's everything you hope it's going to be .. and more! The accommodation is beautifully furnished, and the cottage is fully equipped with all mod cons but still retains its old-fashioned character and charm with its beamed ceilings and of course The Rayburn in the gorgeous country kitchen!! The property was clean, the beds really comfortable, the En suite Roll Top Bath a real luxury! It was extremely well maintained with everything we needed for our stay and more! There is easy access from the cottage onto the moors for superb walks yet you are only minutes away by car from Camelford when you need to stock up on essentials from the Co-op! Excellent location for visiting surrounding coastline and the pretty countryside. We can thoroughly recommend the little seafood market at beautiful Port Isaac (get there early to avoid the rush in peak holiday times!!), the beautiful big pasties from Penganna Pasties in the lovely scenic town of Tintagel and days on the spectacular beaches at Polzeath or the beautiful Constantine Bay and Widemouth Bay. Our favourite pub was The Malsters Arms in Chapel Amble and we spent a wonderful evening at The Mill House Inn restaurant in Tintagel - magical setting and stunning food. We will definitely be booking again and we can thoroughly recommend to all without hesitation! Jo, Nick, Tom & Charlotte xxx

Hi I'm Julia! Welcome to Fern Cottage! I live in a village in Nottinghamshire with my husband Tony, children Nu & Harry and nicely rounded tabby cat called Star! We love living here - only problem is that we are as far away from the sea as you can get in the UK!
The wild beauty of Cornwall gets into the soul. She calls like a Siren and for many years my extended family has holidayed here to the beaches at Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven to dig mysterious holes, explore rock pools, catch comical crabs, and body board the foaming waves - oh and eat ice cream and pasties.
I love adventure and every visit we find something new. So where better to have a cottage?

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We were looking for a cottage for us - one we'd love to rent as a family. We saw many....in the rain! As soon as we stepped inside Fern Cottage we fell in love! It is a real gem! It's a bit like the Tardis (a time travelling machine for the unitiated!) Light and airy and surprisingly spacious! Recently and sympathetically extended it is very modern in decor yet timeless at the same time!

Set in the tiny hamlet of Tregoodwell near Camelford and Tintagel on the edge of Bodmin Moor, 5 miles from the sea, it is not a million miles from anywhere, but just far enough for a civilised walk to take place! Out of the house and right at the post box takes you on a journey along a lane which passes fields carved out of mysterious and magical Bodmin Moor to Rough Tor - Cornwall's highest point!

At Fern Cottage life is made simple! WiFi is free and a takeaway curry or fish and chips are possible without a round trip of 20 miles (It’s a 1 mile round trip!). Run out of Calpol? Easy! The Co-op in Camelford is open until 10pm! Want to go to a pub without driving? Stroll into Camelford! Best of all if you place an online order,Tesco, Asda or Waitrose will deliver your groceries to the door!

Getting around Cornwall is also incredibly easy from Fern Cottage because of its proximity to the A39 - Cornwall's Atlantic Highway! Whether it's a trip to Rick Stein's at Padstow, or a visit to the famous Eden Project you are well placed at Fern Cottage. And if the sun fails to shine well why not go for a beautiful walk through the ancient woodland which runs past our lane?
