Host interaction in terms of communication was fantastic even the property manager was good. What was not good was the fact that it felt very much like a make do and mends place as it was clearly in need of some TLC.

I’m disappointed that you say that. The house has had 3 new bathrooms and has had extensive work carried out in the last 12 months. We were at the house ourselves 5 days before you and thought the house was looking great

Great location and accomodation

The siting is excellent for access to jolly beach and resturants around the area especially "miracles" Room sizes are larger than expected and the air con is excellent. Pool is small but lovely for cooling off. Very good price for the week.

Great Getaway Home

Banana house is well equipped for a group stay with 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, large living room and outdoor space. Bathrooms have been renovated beautifully. Any minor issues or questions were resolved quickly, by the property management team. Great location close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and exploring the island.

Brilliant couldn't have been better

My wife and I stayed with my brother and his wife here whilst visiting friends that live in Antigua.The place was absolutely perfect infact better than expected everything went smoothly and we would 100 percent stay again.Other reviews have mention the road being a state please dont pay any attention to this 80 percent of the roads on the island are terrible.

The villa is incredible. Lots of space for everyone, both indoor and outdoor. I stayed for two weeks with three adult children and my 82yr old dad.Location is perfect as there is a nearby supermarket and plenty of places to eat. Walking distance to the beach and a local bus service to take you into town which connects you to other buses to travel around the island.Air con is perfect for cooling off after relaxing by the pool and having daily dips in the pool is absolutely ideal.I would not only recommend staying here but would most certainly stay again.

Perfect!

The house was better than expected. So spacious and the main bedroom had the biggest bed I’ve ever slept in! Kitchen was well equipped (with sharp knives). The kids loved the pool, was great having that so easily available. Loura, the property manager, was easy to contact and replied quickly to any questions or issues we had during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Apart from the dirt / pothole road the villa is big There are loads of remote but no battery’s to work the tv. No maid service for the week we was there🙁

Needs Improvement

We stayed at the house for 3 weeks and never saw the property manager but she did respond by text when needed. The house was not cleaned on our arrival which was disappointing. The outdoor surroundings were beautiful and we enjoyed the pool.

Peace & Quiet

Renting a vacation home can be rather intimidating but for whatever reason my husband and I had the best if luck with this rental. This little home was everything we needed. Peaceful, clean, close to the market and quiet location. Loura~you are amazing!! Thank you for arranging our pick up and drop off at the airport as well as the drop off and pick up of our rental car and all your knowledge of your beautiful island. I can't wait to come back in March. Thank you again!

Relaxing stay in Jolly Harbour

Great location, easy walk to beach and supermarket just around corner. Clean bedrooms good size, 6 of us moving around villa, lots of space, good AC. We used kitchen facilities, oven took a long time to warm up, ended up using outside BBQ, knives to chop food were blunt, but enough plates etc. Dogs barking at night, if you are staying in bedroom nearest pool, you can hear them more, however, they is nothing the villa owner can do about this, as I live on a boat in Falmouth Harbour and there is always dogs barking! The villa is situated gravel road, but no problem getting down the road in car or van. Great accessibility to rest of island. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment, excellent value for money

10 Day Stay

Overall the my stay was great. Just a few recommendations. If persons are renting for 5 or more days, a cleaning service should be provided. Maybe a change of beds and mopping. Next guest should be informed about garbage pickup because the neighborhood cats ripe up the bags outside leaving guest to clean it up. Also the road I. Front of the property should be paved. There are numerous pot holes right at the gate leaving massive puddles of water when it rains daily. The bath tubs should be changed due to the appearance of rust. Finally, the neighbor stated that he was a plumber and could observe water coming from the ground on the property. The toilets would run for hours after flushing.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for your helpful comments. I’m sorry about the problems you had. I will feedback to Felecia who manages the house. The bathroom refurb is the next planned job once the season is over. The road has been an ongoing issue and the holes get filled but then new ones reappear. Felecia could have sorted some of the issues whilst you were there if you had called her.....the extra cleaning, rubbish collection and running toilet

Property is in desperate need of renovation the bathrooms in particular mold and damp.

The neighborhood dogs 8-10 of them bark 24-7 and keep you awake at night Felecia was exceptional help with hire car and an. Questions we had the patio around the pool needs attention as the paint is flaking and the nails are not flush and in some areas the wood is damaged

this was our second time staying at the banana house. its such a great location, everything is walkable, ten minutes to the grocery shop and restaurants, twenty minutes to Jolly Beach.

wonderful time

The house is in the perfect location for the beach (twenty minute walk) and the store/restaurant's/bar (ten minute walk) We stayed for four weeks, couldn't do much due o covid restrictions but we had all we needed, sunshine beach and pool. The house does need a little updating with a coat of paint here and there but don't let that stop you from staying there. We would use the house as a base again. One tip, use Glens Taxi Service for the ride from and to the airport, first class service. We used Keanu several times, he was always on time and very helpful. His number is 268 723 4072.

What a Gem!

We were slightly apprehensive as we usually stay in a hotel. But what a find! Fabulous location (okay the road is a nightmare), a short walk to great restaurants and bars, along with the most beautiful beach. The villa has everything you need and more!

Wonderful property

We stayed at this property for one week at the end of May. The Villa was very clean and spacious. We were greeted when we arrived and had contact information for any issues/questions. The owner is very prompt in responding. It is walking distance to a grocery store and a short drive to everywhere we needed to go. The Villa was very comfortable, particularly with AC and wifi, and the pool was lovely. I would definitely stay here again!

Banana House Review

We have just returned from a fabulous 12 night stay on the wonderful island of Antigua. We wanted to explore the island and staying at Banana House on the edge of Jolly Harbour was a perfect location. Is is a spacious three bed bungalow with a decent sized garden with lots of fruit trees, decking and a small pool. It is fair to say that the house is a little tired and could do with some maintenance works in particular to the decor in the master en suite, however it was perfect for us due to its size, amenities and location. Close proximity to loads of stunning beaches, and a short drive to St Johns and English Harbour. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful piece of paradise!!

Three couples stayed at this villa for 3 weeks. The villa was perfect. It was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy Jolly Harbour. We enjoyed having our own private swimming pool and we had many meals on the spacious deck. The only thing missing was a good frying pan but believe me we made do and that did not deter our vacation at all. It was about a 10 min walk to the grocery store which had everything we needed. An additional 10 min walk to the beautiful beach. There were many restaurants within walking distance that we also enjoyed. I highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to spend time in Jolly Harbour.

Great location, very comfortable

The place was spotless when we pulled in, in fact the young lady was finishing up the chores and gave us a quick tour and showed us athe basics e.g. vault operation, TV etc. The house itself is well situated about 5 minutes walk from the supermarket and 10 from the beach. The house itself is in need of some refreshing in spots but nothing to impact our stay. We were 5 adults everything worked well no issues with water or toilets. There is some construction across the street but we did not find it all that disruptive the occacional hammering and heavy equipment operating for short periods of time when we were at the house. The minor issues we did run into were dealt with almost immediately by the property manager to our satisfaction. All in all i do not hesitate to recommend this place, my family fully enjoyed our stay there.

The property was clean and presented well. No issues with any of the facilities .

A lovely villa brightly painted in a perfect location and easy access to jolly harbour . The pool was perfectly clean and was checked by Carribean water every Wednesday . There was some noise from dogs and building ( but they were only pouring concrete). Nothing excessive . Not sure why a previous reviewer had such major issues and I’m pleased I took no notice of his review when booking this at short notice . Antigua is a beautiful island with lots to see and lots of beaches and activities . Why spend days in the villa when you can see the joys of the island . The only way the building work or dogs could annoy would be if you spent all day in the villa. I have put this comment as they were extremely harsh and suggest if people want to lounge around a pool all day they book a fully inclusive holiday . Antigua is a third world country and has the charms of the Carribean . If it doesn’t get done today it may the day after or even the day after that . That is the Carribean ! Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday meeting the locals and discovering Antigua . Would highly recommend a visit .
