Maisonnette dans le centre de Keswick avec une vue imprenable

Crandy Nook, construit en 1891 en pierre de lakeland traditionnelle, est une fabuleuse maisonnette de 4 chambres convertie à un niveau exceptionnel en 2007. Idéalement situé dans le bourg populaire de Keswick, les vues sur Skiddaw, Walla Crag, Castlehead Wood et sur les toits vers Bassenthwaite, Skiddaw et Whinlatter Forest, depuis le salon et la cuisine sont tout simplement époustouflantes.

Crandy Nook est réparti sur 3 étages au-dessus d'un café. Au dernier étage, avec plafond voûté, le salon ouvert et la cuisine-salle à manger sont un havre de paix où se détendre et socialiser. La cuisine contemporaine est très bien équipée avec plaques à induction et plans de travail en granit.

Il y a 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains de luxe sur chacun des 2 autres étages.

Le logement a une cote Visit England 4 *.

Keswick est une destination populaire toute l'année sur les rives de Derwentwater. Cette ville accueillante accueille le marché bihebdomadaire qui a récemment remporté le très convoité "Meilleur marché en plein air" aux Great British Market Awards.

Il y a quelque chose pour chacun. Les activités comprennent une variété de sports nautiques, l'escalade, le parapente et la natation. Go Ape et VTT sont dans la forêt de Whinlatter à proximité. Keswick propose également deux grands parcs publics qui offrent des installations de jeux dans un cadre ouvert, boisé et jardin. Les autres installations comprennent une nouvelle salle de sport, une piscine de loisirs, un cinéma, un golf, la location de vélos et la pêche. Pourquoi ne pas essayer le théâtre de 400 places sur le lac ou une croisière sur Derwentwater.

Vous avez l'embarras du choix pour marcher soit en utilisant Keswick comme base ou en faisant des excursions d'une journée à Ullswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere ou plus loin, les lacs du Sud. Les favoris personnels sont Scafell Like, la vallée de Borrowdale, Latrigg et la promenade sur les rives de Derwentwater. Les plus aventureux se dirigeront vers Sharp edge sur Blencathra.

Le coût du séjour comprend 2 permis de stationnement à utiliser dans les 3 parkings longue durée de Keswick.

Nous accueillons un chien bien élevé. Pour les nourrissons, nous fournissons un lit de voyage (mais pas de literie) et une chaise haute.

Perfect spot for a weekend trip

We stayed in Keswick for the Easter weekend and this house could not have been better. The views are amazing, really comfy beds and had everything we needed for 6 of us. Would stay again and highly recommend!

Super spacious, immaculate bathrooms, fab views. Close to town centre and can walk for miles from apartment. Good for dogs. Lots of stairs. Would definitely visit again.

Every Convenience in the Heart of Keswick!

Crandy Nook could not have been a better choice for our stay in the Lakes—we stayed for a month and this was truly a home away from home! Well appointed kitchen with a dishwasher, 2 beautiful bathrooms with luxury showers, and a utility room with freezer, washer, and dryer—we could not have been better provided for—Hope our next stay in Keswick will be based at Crandy Nook—convenient to every Lakes sight we could wish for!

Perfect place for a Lake District stay

We loved this place! Very centrally located, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The living room is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of Skiddaw. Kitchen is smart and well equipped. Bedrooms had very comfortable beds and lovely linen. 10 minutes walk from Derwentwater and perfectly placed for hundreds of walks. Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish.

Lovely property in an ideal location

This is a lovely large property in the centre of Keswick, ideally located for exploring the Lake District. It is well equipped and very nicely done out. The owners provided lots of useful information on things to do and local walks. We had a great time thanks. [We would have appreciated slightly more of the basics (dishwasher tablets, w/up liquid, loo rolls) to avoid having to buy more of these.]

Easter Keswick trip

Accurate description of property , well stocked with Equipment and facilities lack of cold water to wash up , no matter how long we ran it for . And as a technically challenged person hate the Tv , it would be advisable to remind people to bring their App logins , luckily the younger members of the group knew theirs !. The entrance at the back had some issues - we couldnt offload at property and had to carry luggage from car park, we had to ask the restaurant to move their van to get past bins and van to leave.

Great Location, Not So Great Steps + Lack of Ventilation

We (5 adults) spent 7 days in this apartment/flat. It was our 3rd visit to Keswick. The location can't be beat, although with it comes the sounds of "downtown" -- mainly from dozens of folks lined up for gelato at the restaurant downstairs and early morning (6 AM) delivery trucks. Everything was pretty clean and comfortable, although we did find some remnants of earlier occupants on the bedroom floor -- dental floss picks, etc. Living room pillows were a bit grimy. Kitchen was modern and well equipped and everything worked well. Washer/dryer worked well, too. While we knew when booking that the property was spread throughout several floors, we underestimated the amount of up/down movement we'd be doing, as the living room/kitchen is on theTOP floor. Even though we are very fit and active, it became a real drag to keep going up/down 3+ flights constantly, as the living area is at the top and the bedrooms are below -- the reverse of most multi-story houses (like our 3.5 story townhouse that we live in.) Lastly, our main issue was that there is only a single window in the top floor living room/kitchen area. It was constantly hot and stuffy, despite opening nearly every window in the house and turning on a single fan. The back windows in the kitchen are fixed panes and act as a greenhouse -- super warm, even with the honeycomb blinds drawn. If a single one of those could be made into an awning window or skylight, it would make a huge difference! Overall, not a bad place to stay for a couple nights but I wouldn't stay again for an entire week.

Fantastic property in a perfect location

We loved this property and would definitely book it again if it was available when we return to Keswick. Perfectly located, with parking nearby, it was spacious but homely and had everything we could possibly need.

Amazing

We've been here 3 times, both with family and alone. Amazing location for going out on foot into keswick, brilliant views and great facilities. Parking passes are a life saver. Lots of stairs! Highly recommended and we will be coming back again in the future.

Great location!

We visited during storm Dennis but luckily the apartment was clean and comfortable as we spent most of the time inside. It is right next to the main square so when the winds died down we could quickly walk to the pubs without getting drenched. I’d definitely book again when the weather is a bit better!

A place to get to climb Scafell Pike.

The location, facilities, cleanliness were all perfect for our purposes. Because it was near to centre of Keswick everything in terms of eating out, buying groceries etc. were really straightforward. Great views of the mountains from the top of the house.

Perfect location

A great property in a very central location. The bedrooms and communal rooms were exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was a utility room with washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, airer and freezer. The kitchen was full of plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, tea towels and the owners had left cleaning products and tea, coffee and milk. Great views from the living room and kitchen. We had two family members who aren't great with their mobility at the moment but they managed the stairs fine. Also, it was great that everything was within a 2 - 10 minute walk away. The nearby restaurants and cafes were brilliant. I would recommend Jaspers, The Sizzling Stone and Casa Bella which are only a stones throw away. We even met the cleaners as we were finishing loading the car and they were asking if we had enjoyed our stay. A brilliant place to stay in Keswick. My niece and nephew are desperate to go back already as we were all together in a nice light, airy, spacious place with lots to do on the doorstep. Thank you.

Central location

Lovely maisonette in the centre of Keswick. Everything is close by so it was easy to leave our cars and walk everywhere. The property itself was clean and comfortable and had everything that’s needed for a short break. We’d return any time.

We both have vivid and exciting childhood memories of the Lake District. Living in the North East of England means this great adventure playground is less than a 2-hour drive away. Our spare time is spent enjoying the beauty of the Lake District or keeping fit to help in our challenge of walking all 214 Wainwrights (we have just bagged our 148th (Feb24) - just when you thought you knew the Lake District well, embarking on the Wainwrights has opened up a whole new world.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We've always had a close affinity with the Lake District and when we purchased Crandy Nook (the building is actually Grandy Nook but is affectionately known to us otherwise) in 2007 we became part of it! We chose the property as it offered something different. Other factors were its location, the high quality conversion (it's a Victorian property, built in 1891) and the stunning views from the top floor. The market town of Keswick is popular all year round and has a certain aura.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The views of Skiddaw and Whinlatter Forest across the Keswick rooftops from one window, Walla Crag, The Dodds and Castlehead from another, are simply stunning. Latrigg is visible from the main bedroom bay window. The property is "home from home" and is handily located in the centre of town, a few minutes walk from the Moot Hall, from where many of the local walks begin. There is a wealth of good pubs and restaurants nearby.
