Lovely stay in this apartment, beds were extremely comfortable and had everything there we needed, plus excellent location and sunshine! We would definitely stay again when visiting Edinburgh!
We had a lovely time exploring Edinburgh! The property was everything we needed.Very clean, comfortable, and convenient to restaurants, groceries, and the Tram!Thank you Sam!
Excellent communication with Sam, responded quickly to our questions, and provided documentation. Great location to all sites we planned to see. Very nice upgrade to en suite. Parking available - remember to register via QR code daily. Thank you for the use of your accommodation.
The apartment is well located just off Leith Walk and within easy walking (or bus or tram) distance of both Edinburgh centre and Leith. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of storage. Whilst not designated for disabled people it is all on one lever and ground floor and easily negotiated with a walker. the owners are really helpful and gave us full instruction on how to reach the apartment and how to use everything in it! The only thing I'd suggest is a few more leaflets on places to see, though as ex Edinburgh residents we were OK on that! Thanks to Sam and family for an enjoyable stay.
Apartment lovely and clean, had everything we needed. Close to the centre but a warning to those less mobile it is uphill. Communication with host excellent. Would recommend to those that are fit and able.
Exactly as described: lovely apartment in a residential area, just a short walk to restaurants and transit. Communication with the host was easy and pleasant. I absolutely recommend this for your stay in Edinburgh.
We very much enjoyed our time. The apartment was spacious for our 4 adults and had every amenity. Communication was excellent. It was a little far to walk from Waverly Station with luggage, so I would recommend and UBER for that, but easy to walk to Old Town without luggage. Make sure you eat at Momma Roma's italian. and make a reservation.
We stayed as part of our trip around the UK. The apartment was very close to the tram and an easy walk around Edinburgh. Sam provided a great book with instructions on everything about the place.
Very clean. Decent Internet. All in all, great stay. Thanks!
First night was very cold because the heating was not funcioning. The photo's on internet looked better then in reallity. This apartment is outdated and needs an renovation (except 1 bathroom) The rent was to high for this apartment. I think a fair price would be between 150 and 200 pounds per day as maximum.
The landlady managed it perfectly and we had a supe stay. Within walking distance of the city centre, this is an ideal location. We enjoyed it very much!
The property was purchased by 3 generations of a family - mother and daughter Sue and Sam, and grandfather Les. We use the property to visit son Dave and his family.
Despite the fact we purchased the property when Les was 86, he played a very active role in getting the property ready.
Sue and Sam both live in Croxley Green in Hertfordshire. Sam and her husband John run their own business providing public sector research and consultancy. They have two young children. Sue is now retired (although is kept busy with childcare for her grandchildren!) but previously worked managing a programming team.
With family living in Edinburgh we found ourselves frequently coming up stay in B&Bs. We loved the city and wanted to visit more often, and also liked the idea of having somewhere we could have a living space we could all share.
This particular location appealed because we felt it was very important to have parking and the proximity to the town centre made it a very attractive place to be based. Guests frequently comment on the fact that it is a lovely quiet area, despite being so close to the city centre. There is a small children's play area near the Co-op which our children love to play in and we love being able to open the patio doors on a nice day (they do get them occasionally in Edinburgh!).
Although we often walk into the City centre the bus stop a few minutes walk away make it even easier to get around.
We bought the property knowing that we would want to let it out so we were careful to find somewhere that was located conveniently for town, had good parking and which was suitable for older generations and children alike. Although the building has a lift, the ground floor access is particularly helpful and meant we got the small patio area.
We have tried to furnish and equip it so that it could be a great home away from home for us, without it being too personalised. We have stayed in many B&Bs and flats around Edinburgh so we felt we had a good idea of what works and what doesn't.
