The clough is a great little cottage in a lovely location. We stayed whilst we were having work done on our house and the hosts made us feel very welcome and were very attentive. The cottage itself is lovely and well equipped and I’d definitely recommend a stay there.

Lovely peaceful cottage

We had a lovely stay (from Australia) in this quiet cottage right in the English countryside with scenic views and lots of places to walk into Derbyshire.

The property is exactly as advertised. A perfect spot to access the Peak District and also the city of Sheffield. The property is very nice and in a peaceful rural location. Communication from the owner was spot-on. All-in-all a lovely stay.

Fantastic location!

We loved staying at The Clough. It was a perfect location for getting into the city, over to Hillsborough for my son to meet his football heroes as well as getting out to Derbyshire. The house was really lovely and warm as it was quite a cold weekend when we visited. It’s always good when you rent a place that has a well equipped kitchen. It meant we weren’t constantly washing up plates or glasses and we happily cooked various meals in the kitchen. We are hoping that we can visit again soon!

Good option for Sheffield and the Peak District

We chose this cottage as it is well placed both for visiting family in Sheffield and benefitting from the countryside in the Peak District. There are pleasant walks right from the front door. The cottage is clean and very well equipped, and we would certainly recommend it to others.

We chose the first really warm & sunny wkd this year. Love cottage well equipped Hope to go back.

Hassle free access to key & property. Lots of useful info about cottage facilities and local walks/shops/eateries. Having a small fully fenced garden made life so much easier with my young dog. Lots of birdsong & green views. Walking boots essential to enjoy local right of ways.

Superb cottage, excellent location

I really loved staying in this fabulous, warm and very homely cottage. It had everything I needed and more. It was equally close to local shops as well as the beautiful surrounding countryside, which I enjoyed walking around every day. It was great to drive to nearby places like Derwent Reservoir and Chatsworth Park, which my visitors and I thoroughly enjoyed. Bre and Neil were very welcoming, as was their lovely dog Fica, and it was lovely to meet the new puppy Tarla. I was very sorry when I had to move on, and I would highly recommend The Clough.

Quiet hideaway

Very spacious for 2 people, even 4, well equipped. Had a coffee machine and they left us some pods to use. Good walks from cottage, wonderful views.

Fabulous cottage in perfect location

We had a wonderful time staying at Clough Cottage. It has a brilliantly equipped kitchen, comfy sofas for relaxing, and a lovely outside eating area. The location is perfect, half way between the city and the Peak District. Handover was easy and the cottage was clean, so it felt safe in these COVID-times. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing stay!

Two friends and I had a weekend up in the Peak District. We loved Bre's house, amazing place with a great patio area out the back of the house overlooking the country side. We really enjoyed out stay :)

Great scenery and cottage

This was more than comfortable and spacious. The location is great, just outside the park in a quiet neighbourhood. The kitchen is VERY well stocked, along with the whole place. Loved that we could walk out the door for a short walk and some animals. Bre and her husband were very kind and helpful.

The clough

Sensationelle englische Ferienwohnung in einer sehr idyllischen countryside. Super nette Vermieter. Geheimtipp ist der von der Landlady selbst hergestellte Honig. Ein Bienenvolk wohnt in Sichtweite der Ferienwohnung... wir hatten eine ganz tolle Zeit im Peakdistrict und würden sofort wieder hin fahren. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert, Manfred
