Situé sur la côte privilégiée nord-est de Corfou Koutsounada House est un établissement élégant et contemporain construit dans le style Corfiot. Niché au milieu des oliviers dans un terrain tranquille étendant à un acre il est meublé avec goût et très bien équipée à la fois pour la vie intérieure et extérieure. Il ya une grande piscine de 12m x 6m, un barbecue et un espace salle à manger en plein air ainsi que d'autres espaces salons extérieurs. Situé à 300 mètres derrière la superbe croissant blanc de la plage de Avlaki cette charmante maison plairont aux familles en quête de solitude avec des activités pour les plus énergiques sur le seuil. La plage est délicieusement préservée et possède deux excellents tavernes (avec accès gratuit à internet sans fil), planche à voile, dériveur et location de bateaux; équitation est également disponible à proximité. Le pittoresque village d'Agios Stefanos est à une courte distance en voiture, tout comme la ville portuaire de Kassiopi, avec ses boutiques, bars et vie nocturne animée. Les supermarchés locaux sont à 5 minutes en voiture (20 minutes à pied) et offriront gratuitement.

Amazing location and the villa is beautiful

We have lucked out on this beautiful Villa in Avlaki. Not only was it beautifully clean it is situated in an amazing quiet location yet only 200mtrs to the beach in the bay of Avlaki, with its crystal clear water.

Excellent Villa in a Quiet Location

Excellent accommodation if you want a top quality villa in a quiet location. The 2 restaurants / tavernas next to the beach and 5 minutes stroll away are both excellent. If you have a car then this a great base from which to visit Northern Corfu but it is also fine to just kick back with friends.

Perfect family stay

This is a beautiful house and suited us - 6 adults - perfectly, though would work well for up to eight. We loved the pool and various spaces to sit outside, to eat, read or sunbathe, and made good use of the table-tennis and bbq. Perfectly situated for peace and calm, but an easy stroll to the beach for swimming, boat hire and excellent taverna.

Beautiful Villa in a great location

We loved the villa and the pool was beautiful. The villa is just a short walk to Avlaki beach and a great Taverna. The villa was extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The managers were very attentive and it was kept really clean for the entirety of our stay. The area is beautiful with lots of towns to explore either by car or even better by boat.

We are a group of 6 female friends and rented this delightful villa for one week. it was a wonderful experience. The building is excellently furnished, with great art work , and the kitchen is well equipped. The beach below is gorgeous and the views across to Albania stunning. Fabulous pool surrounded by olive trees. Shopping was more difficult because we did not have a car. But we managed to walk to the shops and also to Kassiopi, and sometimes took taxis that were reasonably priced at 10 Euros

Family Holiday 16 to

A very relaxing place to have a holiday. Very close to one of the nicest beaches, and the best taverna at the end the lane. The house is just lovely, great location, private, well designed, very comfortable with lots of shady garden areas and a fantastic pool. We had a veryrelaxing and enjoyable week and will definitely be back. Thank you for letting us stay.

This was our 10th consecutive family summer holiday on the beautiful North East coast of Corfu. We have used this villa for the last five of those visits since, put quite simply, it is fabulous in every way and highly recommended. As always, we loved the pool and the short walk to Avlaki bay, where you can swim in cool crystal clear water with not too many people to spoil the tranquility or eat and drink at one of two tavernas on the bay. We even found a great new restaurant this year, Lismari. Great setting, super food and excellent service and they picked us up from the villa and took us back free of charge, what’s not to like! Great owners, great helpful local team, give it a go……as long as is not not when we want to be there

Wonderful Koutsounada

Our third visit to this wonderful villa on Avlaki bay. Everything was as good as previous visits which will ensure we come back many more times. Our grownup family for the first week and friends for the second is a winning combination. We visited our usual restaurants (Cavo barbera, Thomas’s, Nikolas, Kochili, and our brand new favourite, Kima in Kassiopi). Highly recommend.

We had a great holiday, the villa is in a perfect location. Local beach restaurant is lovely (recommended by Patricia). Perfect holiday retreat

Stayed for a very enjoyable week in June and found the villa/house to be very comfortable and well placed for a quiet retreat in a delightful garden with a wonderful pool. However, the lovely Avlaki Bay is just a short walk away and has the great fortune to have a very friendly taverna - Cavo Barbaro - which produced such delicious food that we ate there 5 nights out of the 7! We had a couple of trips out and really enjoyed a boat trip which afforded us the opportunity to see all the surrounding bays from a different vantage point. Everyone was so friendly in Corfu and I would thoroughly recommend the house.

Party of eight , we all loved the pool, table tennis and house games. The house has ac which is essential in summer. The barbecue and outdoor dining area are great. The location is perfect with a short walk to Avlaki beach being a huge bonus. Taxi to kassiopi or Agni around €10 . We hired a boat for two days right from the beach which we highly recommend All in all a fab stay, thank you x

Family reunion

We stayed at Koutsounada House 10 years ago and everything was just as we remembered-only better. The addition of the ping pong table went down especially well with the young people! Communication from the owner and housekeeper was excellent, as before. Plenty of space for the 7 of us, and never a problem finding a quiet shady spot to read. In summary, Koutsounada is clean, spacious, comfortable and in an ideal spot -walking distance to the beach but nice and quiet back at the house!

Beautiful

Peaceful quiet setting, loved hearing the sound of the pebbles from beach moving with waves. Generous sized pool to exercise in, well equipped to high standard throughout the house. Seconds from beach and two tavernas, local supermarket delivers and will come and collect you. So need for car unless you want to explore, I would describe the location as s situated in a golden triangle, villa, beach, taverna. Heaven.

Highly recommended

This is our third two week stay at this fantastic villa and we have loved it more each time. The location is perfect with fabulous beaches and restaurants close by, including Kassiopi, which has many great places to eat and is only 10 minutes away by car. If you want to chill, this is fine too as the villa has everything you could possibly need. It is quiet with many cool places to sit outside and read, as we like to do, a well equipped kitchen, a barbecue, table tennis and air conditioning throughout. We thoroughly recommend this villa, we will be back and if we could give it a 6 out of 5 we would 😎

Lovely villa in a superb position.

A wonderful week in Corfu staying at Koutsounada House. The villa was very spacious for 8 of us and the location behind Avlaki beach was perfect. The outside area feels a little overgrown around the house, so we chose not to dine outside due to the number of wasps. We spent one day by the pool which is fantastic and has plenty of very comfortable sun loungers. The house itself is very well equipped and everything works well, although the hot water is limited. Brilliant restaurants within walking distance such as Cavo Barbaro which is beautiful in the evening. Hope to return next year!

Well equipped villa, perfect pool in a lovely setting and a great location.

We visited the villa for a second year and, despite having built it up in our minds following a wonderful first visit, it did not disappoint. The villa is well equipped with efficientl air conditioning. The garden is mature and beautiful and a wonderful pool catches the sun all day (in late June at least). Nearby Avlaki beach (no more than 200 yards) is quiet and unspoilt, although it is a pebble beach. At the beach there is an excellent taverna, Cavo Barbaro, which we would very highly recommend. Agios Stefanos is less than a 10 minute drive away and well worth a visit with some great bars and restaurants. We had a really enjoyable time, it was quiet and relaxing.

Wonderful

A wonderful stay at this beautiful house to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday. A week wasn't long enough! As a family of 8, we found the house to be spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We made good use of the amazing pool and loungers. The location is perfect for a peaceful stay. 5 minutes walk to the lovely Avlaki beach for a morning swim. The bonus was having a great Taverna, Cavo Barbaro at the end of the lane. They looked after us very well. We hired a car and found it essential for supermarket runs and to explore this lovely corner of Corfu. Thank you from the Speirs family for a wonderful stay!

Another glorious holiday

We returned to this wonderful villa after a gap of 4 years. It was like coming home to an old friend. All every bit as good as my last review (see review posted June 2018) I forgot how lovely the pool was and the proximity of the sea and the fabulous Cavo Barbaro (taverna at the end of the drive) We had friends and family staying and the days slipped by seamlessly. Even the excitement of a biblical storm and a 6 hour power cut did not diminish our enjoyment. Also highly recommend Kochili taverna in Stefano- which we visited several times.

So happy to hear that Koutsounada was as you remembered it William. There’s nothing to beat being able to amble down to the beach for a morning/evening swim. We’re so lucky to have Cavo Barbaro on our doorstep - for those times when cooking seems like too much trouble, which in our case is most days! We can’t wait to be there ourselves in a couple of weeks.

Beautiful Koutsounada House

We had an amazing time at Koutsounada House, everything from booking to arrival was smooth. The photos do not do it justice, it's larger and more beautiful. I could not fault a thing, the pool area is so secluded, surrounded by olive trees, all the bedrooms, facilities, outside space are just perfect for a large family. The local Taverna is within a five minute walk, and it's very good, great food and hospitality. The beach is quiet , with an inviting crystal blue sea . We hired local boats from Avlaki Boats and had a great time exploring the coast . We all had a fantastic time, thank you Patricia, Natushka and Yianni, you made our first visit to Corfu a special one, The Tubridy Family, London

Delighted to hear that you all enjoyed your first holiday in Corfu so much; thank you for your kind words of appreciation, and for taking the time to write them. It's good to hear that it's possible to hire a boat directly from Avlaki Beach once more - over the last few years we've had to hire boats in Kassiopi or Agios Stefanos, so it's great to know that Avlaki Boats have set up business in time for our next visit. Exploring the coast line, and finding secluded beaches, is one of the joys of a holiday in Corfu. I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer. Best wishes to you and all the family, from all of us.

We are two families who have always holidayed together since our children were very small. We first spent a holiday in north east Corfu in 2005, and were so impressed with the area that we found ourselves returning year-on-year.

In 2008 we eventually found a suitable plot on which to build our much-loved Koutsounada House. Even after so many years we still look forward to holidaying together in our joint home, and take great pleasure in seeing how the house and garden have developed and matured over time.
