We loved our house very much. We found it a little challenging when not having a car so would highly recommend one to stay at this house. Would definitely stay again.
Villa as advertised. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable stay. Good communication with owner, manager. Cecily the housekeeper was very nice and pointed us in the right direction for things to see.
Thanks
We enjoyed a three night stay at this property and it matched our needs perfectly. It is an ideal base to explore the island. Super clean and great communication with the owner who accommodate our last minute booking.
I had a great relaxing time. Consideration should be made to install heavy curtains or drapes to the western side of the upstairs to protect from the sun, but if you like the heat is great
I recently had the pleasure of staying in a stunning plantation-style home for a week, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the lush, rainforest-like surroundings that enveloped the property. The meticulously manicured grounds provided a serene and private oasis that felt like a world away.
The house itself was beautifully decorated, blending classic charm with modern touches. Every room was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and inviting, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation.
If youâre looking for a luxurious yet comfortable getaway surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this rental is an absolute gem. I canât recommend it enough and look forward to returning someday!
We have stayed at Royal Westmorland before and were hoping for a peaceful location. Sadly the villa is immediately next to the road running outside the estate and was therefore far from quiet.
We also had a persistent issue with the water heating which meant we had to remember to switch the heater on and off, that after only cold water for the first few days, because no one explained the problem.
A shame because this was not a âcheapâ rental.
A lovely 2 bedroom cottage, furnished to a high srsndard. The bed was very comfy with AC , definitely a must. Nice outside seating. We had a lovely housekeeper , looked after you if required..
Only negative was very hot in living room even with fans and doors, open, would have welcomed AC
This is our fourth stay at 35 Forest Hills. Lovely property, Cecily looks after everything perfectly. The facilities on site and at the beach club make the holiday so relaxing and hassle free. We will be back again.
Thank you Jo and Duncan for renting your property to us for yet another year. Staying at your villa never fails to disappoint. We are already planning our return trip!
Whilst not my partners first time in Barbados, it was my first visit and I will certainly be back!
This is the only detached villa on this part of RWM so it enjoys that extra privacy you would wish.
Well appointed and with great sized rooms. A terrace to enjoy sunset with a sea view and plenty of space to lounge!
The facilities on RWM were great. Good gym and large pool (which I believe is just for guests on this part of the estate) and whilst we didnât play golf, the course does look great!
The owners were good to their word, everything as we had expected and the welcome pack of breakfast goodies avoided the need for a late night shop after an evening flight arrival - thank you Jo!
The villa has a cleaner who cleaned and did any washing you asked for and that was a great help - she is lovely!
All in all a great place and well recommended!
We had a great time and the combination of accommodation, RWM estate facilities and the proximity to great restaurants, bars and beaches nearby (oh and I mustnât digest to mention the access to Mullins Beach Club which was very handy!) it was a great week.
You should hire a car but no doubt people coming to this part of the island would do so anyway but thought I should mention it.
Great time and happy memories!
Bejan Sunset is well located and equipped and is perfect for people that like a private and relaxing holiday.
We are regular visitors to Barbados and our expectations were fully met.
Well worth another visit.

We couldn't have asked for a better holiday rental. The house was stunning, good sized bedrooms and an amazing living space upstairs. We enjoyed using all the facilities on the resort. Owners incredibly helpful with queries whilst away. We will be back.
Bajan Sunset is a fabulous place to stay. We are regular renters in Royal Westmoreland and prior to arriving we were slightly anxious that the property might be too close to the road but it was fine. It is in excellent condition and is serviced by the lovely Cicely who is a delight. The owner Joanne was great to deal with both prior to and during our stay. I would recommend this villa to anyone.
We stayed in Bajan Sunset for two weeks in May 2014 and had a fabulous holiday. The villa was all that it was described to be and proved to be a great location in the beautiful grounds of Royal Westmoreland.
We were well looked after by Cecily the housekeeper who was extremely helpful and who also did our washing and ironing which was a real bonus. We have been regular visitors to Barbados over the last 20 years and Bajan Sunset has been our favourite place to stay - so much so that we have booked again for 2015!
We first visited beautiful Barbados on honeymoon 17 years ago and always wanted to return! We are so glad we did and the holiday was off to a fantastic start with a great flight on Virgin Atlantic. We arrived mid afternoon in our rented Mini Moke and were absolutely bowled over by our beautiful home for the next 11 nights! Jo and Duncan's villa is situated on the beautiful Royal Westmoreland Estate which immediately felt safe and secure with a very warm welcome from the security guys. On arrival, Cecily the housekeeper greeted us and showed us round the villa which has everything you could possibly need! The beds are incredibly comfortable, the furnishings lovely, tasteful and homely and the kitchen well equipped. We had a lovely balcony with a stunning view to the sea and comfortable outdoor chairs and dining area. The facilities at Royal Westmoreland are great although it was very quiet (its a quiet time of the season). We didn't really use the pool or restaurant as we spent many happy days down at Mullins beach with complimentary beds, towels, parasols and had supper at the restaurant. Our daughters also loved the inflatable play area in the sea and we had lots of fun waterskiing, jet skiing etc (not included in the price but reasonable prices). You can also order a drink on the beach by putting up the flag by your sunbed, which was really nice and the cold eucalyptus face towels that the beach staff offered you to cool down morning and afternoon was a very nice touch! We also travelled around the island to the south and east coast (Crane Beach is stunning) and had a great evening out at Oistins on the Friday! At the end of each day we returned to gorgeous "Bajan Sunset" for a shower and pre dinner G&T or a BBQ using the Weber on the balcony. An added bonus was finding that the housekeeper had been in, cleaned and made the beds and even done the washing that we put in the laundry basket! All in all a wonderful holiday in a beautiful villa and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks Jo and Duncan.

We live and work in Central London. We visited Barbados for the first time in 2002 for our first wedding anniversary, having spent many holidays in the Caribbean previously. We both fell in love with the island, its friendly people and beautiful climate. After several more visits from 2003 to 2007 we decided to take the plunge and buy a home there which we will hopefully one day retire to. Duncan is a huge cricket fan and I am slowly being converted, especially after we were lucky enough to see England win the World T20 at the Kensington Oval in 2010! Over the years it has become more and more like our home from home, so much so that we really never want to leave. We hope this is reflected in our villa and the fact that it is as fully equipped and homely as our UK home!
We love the location of the resort as it is close to the West Coast beaches and restaurants. It was important for us to buy a home which felt secure and Royal Westmoreland fit the bill perfectly, its 24/7 security giving us peace of mind from miles away. We also enjoy the myriad of facilities and for sports lovers there is always something to do be it a workout in the gym, tennis, swimming, running, golf etc. The beach club at Mullins is a great place to spend the day with free loungers, showers and changing facilities for Royal Westmoreland guests.
Our villa is one of 34 within Forest Hills community. These villas share the Forest Hills communal pool. Our villa is the only detached one on the road and since we bought it we have tried to make it feel like home by taking out a good book collection, buying a large tv with all UK Sky TV channels to keep in touch with the Premiership (and also for the cricket!) and a Weber gas barbecue.
