Sorry about the gates, but as our conversation with you the gates need a few minutes before you close them when the weather is very hot. We were unaware about the TV, however, if you had let us know we could have got an engineer to have a look for you. Just to let you know we have replaced the TV and all in working well now. Hi Rachel Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that you found it difficult going into town and back, I do let people know on the villa details that we're located on a hill which gives us our lovely views, we also advise taking a taxi on return from town. I've informed my cleaners to buy some new padded cushions for the pool area, thank you for letting me know, I expect that some may have been removed due to condition. It is a shame you did not let me know sooner. A large bottle of water, tea/coffee, sugar, and biscuits should have been left for you on arrival. There is a back route to the shops which I've walked many time myself, however, this would not have been much help to you as it still means walking up a hill on your return, or taking a taxi/uber. I’m sorry that you had to wait sometime before you were allowed into the villa, however, I did say when I called you that you were welcome to sit by the pool until the cleaners had finished cleaning, and that it was unfortunate it was not possible for you to go in any earlier as you requested due to the villa not being available until at least 2.30pm. My Husband also informed you that it was possible to drop off your cases earlier if you chose too. I do try to accommodate people were I can so in respect to the change of dates you required from 1st August to the 31st July, I think in doing so this may have caused our cleaners some confusion with the delayed clean, for which I apologise. Our grandson was not the issue as to why you were unable to access the villa. Unfortunately his plane was delayed so he remained in our private cottage (that is not in use when we have guests) away from the villa until his taxi arrived at 4pm. I hope this would not be of any inconvenience to you. As regards to the bin bags our cleaners always leave bags in the two bins under the sink after taking away the rubbish, so I’m not sure why this would not have been the case. They have since informed us that they did leave bags. The villa is self-catering and there is normally some washing liquid left by the previous clients. We do supply the initial toilet rolls/soap and again on the mid week clean in both shower rooms, including tea/coffee and biscuits and bottle water on arrival. The pool is cleaned twice weekly on Tuesdays and Friday, so the pool would have been cleaned the day before you arrived, it can get windy and blow leaves into the pool area, there is a net on the wall by the pool to remove the leaves etc. Thank you for making us aware of the cracked tiles in the pool, this does happen from time to time with the on going use of the pool and will be addressed at the end of the season. We have never given prior notice to any of our guests regarding the attendance of the cleaners/gardener/pool cleaner, and it is something that has never come up before. There is a notice on the wall in the villa with information regarding the cleaning regime maybe this needs updating to let guests know there is no prior notice. I hope the rest of your holiday was enjoyable and that the beginning mishaps did not distract from the rest of your stay?
