We enjoyed our stay in Casa de Flores very much! Nice House with a beatiful view, Perfect starting Point for hikes and Visits to MĂĄlaga, Nerja , Granada. Excellent Communication with the owner Margaret.
We had a wonderful week at the house and (finally) achieved our personal holy grail - a small villa with a gorgeous view and walking distance of restaurants and bars
My wife and I recently stayed at Casa De Flores and had a really enjoyable stay. The house is situated in a stunning location overlooking the village of Archez and the surrounding hills.
There is absolutely everything you require and more. Great communication from the owner. Would highly recommend staying here and we would love to go back in the future.
Communication beginning to end was so professional, timely and helpful. The villa is beautiful and the views wonderful. Absolutely everything you need for a stay is on tap at la casa de flores. 20/10 fantastic!
Very private property in a lovely village. Good location to visit surrounding white villages and only half an hour from nearest beaches. Lovely walks in surrounding area and a good few restaurants to choose from in surrounding villages if you are there for a longer period of time. Would highly recommend staying here.
We had the most chilled out stay in this lovely villa up on a hillside in Archez. The villa has everything you could need ( including English TV channels), itâs great for that get away from it all and just relax type of holiday.
Communication with Margaret prior to going was great, lots of helpful information received. The villa and grounds are even more beautiful than the pictures show. The most perfect place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle! Archez is very pretty and has a few bars and an amazing restaurant, Venta El Curro, which we were told is the best restaurant in the area. It was great as we were able to walk there, which only took five minutes. There is a stunning walk way just a few minutes from the villa to the next village, which was just breathtaking. My husband and I wouldnât hesitate to recommend to our friends and family and will most definitely be returning!
When we arrived we found it as described and everything was prepared for us. The communication with the host worked out very well, she responded more less immediately. We would highly recommend this holiday home.
Excellent villa in a quite location overlooking Archez. The villa is well equipped and comfortable set in lush gardens. The pool is well maintained and ideal for splashing around in and having fun.
The road up to the villa is very steep and you need a car and be willing to drive on Spanish mountain roads.
This is perfect for a quite getaway and a relaxing holiday.
We will definitely come back. We loved it all, the house the friendly owner, the village and the lovely restaurants. The only reason why we are glad to be home is our own bed. It was a bit to small for us, although romantic đ
We had ten very relaxing days at La Casa de Flores which is a lovely very well kept property perched on the hillside overlooking Archez. Very easy to relax on the veranda with a glass of wine watching the birds, views (and chameleon). Lovely walks take you to the two neighbouring towns of Canillas de Albaida and Competa, both with plenty of bars and restaurants. Thank you Margaret for your help and great communication - weâre already looking forward to a return visit!
Private, well-equipped, clean and modern villa with great views
Family of fours stayed for a week. Had a fab time. Pool was great - not massive but big/deep enough for four adults to have fun. Fantastic views over the nearby valley and villages. The villa is very private not overlooked by anyone. Ărchez is a beautiful village with a few restaurants and bars. The owner (Margaret) is easy to communicate, very helpful with lots of great advice. All and all, we had a great family holiday in La Casa De Flores.
We have just returned from our two week stay at this lovely holiday house.
We had a great time. The property has everything you could wish for. The new addition of air con was great, as we had very high temperatures.
The house is in a lovely location, with bars, restaurants and shops all nearby.
We hired a car and visited lots of the surrounding villages and towns.
Margaret was a brilliant host, with lots of helpful advice.
We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone,
Thanks
We booked a week's stay at La Casa de Flores at the end of October/beginning of November 2022.
The property owner (Margaret) could not have been more responsive to my queries or helpful with her advice, both before and during our stay.
The property itself is very well equipped and comfortable throughout.
We had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay. It was pretty much everything we were hoping for: good accommodation, fine, warm weather, lovely walks, and all the many and various pleasures of Spanish rural life.
Many thanks.
Have just returned from a 10 day stay and already wishing we were still there. Having had villas for the past 25 years this was certainly the cleanest which can make such a difference to the start of a holiday, it had everything you would want for a comfortable stay. The outside areas were especially beautiful either for the sun lover or for people who prefer shade and you can never get tired of the view. Excellent care and information from Margaret from start to finish and would without question recommend to family and friends, certainly on our wish list to return. Thank you Margaret and Family for allowing us to share your stunning home.

Fantastic villa in quiet location
Ideal location for a totally relaxing holiday. Fantastic pool and wonderful views from the seating areas. Nice sized bedrooms and bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen and comfy sofas.
We spent most of our time at the villa with a couple of days out in nearby Nerja and CĂłmpeta. The walk into the village is a short stroll down the hill and the 3 open bars/ restaurants are within 5 minutes walk. There is a 4th restaurant on the hill leading out to Canillas but you need to check that it is open before setting off.
The newly open vegan restaurant Meson Mudejar is highly recommended (we are not vegans but the food tastes exceptional and a must is the chickpea curry and the cheesecake!! ). If you prefer meat then go to the Venta el Curro at the bottom of the hill.
Really good communication with the owners at all times.
This is our second stay at at this villa. Very comfortable and relaxing holiday in the beautiful peaceful village of Archez. The house and garden is well kept, as is the pool which is regularly maintained. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable and all windows are secured with mosquito screens. Since our last visit air conditioning has been installed. The terrace has a comfortable seating area perfect to watch the sunrise or relax in the evening, there are also two outside dining tables and a bbq. The owner Margaret was helpful with her advice before and during our stay. Great base for visiting surrounding villages with a superb choice of restaurants. A five minute walk down the road you will find an outstanding steakhouse, cafe bar and small shop. Thank you Margaret and Brian for sharing your home with us
Our second stay. Last year it was very (as in very very) hot. The veranda and pool are cooling and perfect to stay put if it gets too much. This year we had two days of terrible storms and 3 good days of warm weather. The property faces the sun in the morning and this helps warm everything up quickly. So you can dip in the pool. When the lightening and thunderstorms appeared we could watch them skirt the Valley from our high vantage point. This year we decided to eat-in more and cook with local ingredients and the kitchen was fine for that. And thereâs a teapot! But thereâs plenty of local places to eat too. In short it is a home from home high in the Spanish hills. You canât go wrong with this one.
We chose a property for its location near more than one Spanish village, as well as a location for exploring walking and hiking trails. The house was perfect for 2 and in a most interesting location! The road from the A7 up and we mean up to Archez was high and curvy. One really had to concentrate because the views were incredible, and for the driver there is no sight-seeing. To be fair you can stay in the area of Archez without a vehicle, as the walking is beautiful between the villages and really you can get all the supplies you need between the three towns - Archez, Canillas de Albaida, and CĂłmpeta. You must be quite fit though to navigate the steep hills on foot and roadway up to the house very steep (but on the plus side, a short climb). We loved La Casa de Flores for views it afforded down onto the town of Archez and up to Canillas de Albaida and across the narrow valley. This was truly a home away from home!
We have just returned from a brilliant 2 week stay at this lovely house. The house is in the quiet village of Archez and is situated on a hill overlooking the village. This gives great views of Archez, the nearby village of Cannillas de Albiada plus fantastic views of the nearby mountains. The house has everything you need with a fantastic pool and floral gardens and is very private. We hired a car for the holiday and there is loads to see in the nearby area. Along with lazy days around the pool and nights in the porch, we visited Torrox, Torre del Mar, Nerja, Frigiliana all an easy drive plus the nearby villages of Cannillas de Albiada, Competa and Salares. We also had an overnight stay in Granada and visited the magnificent Alhambra. The host Margaret was amazing throughout and gave us loads of information with quick responses and advice from booking the house pre-Covid in February 2020 through to our eventual stay in August 2022 - it was well worth the wait! We would recommend this house and would love to return in the next couple of years.
Casa de La Flores is a beautiful house in a stunning location. The only downside are the hills up to the house which are not for the faint hearted! We used Mariaâs taxi anywhere we wanted to go, but in truth we spent most days at the house by the beautiful pool.
Margaret the owner was amazing to deal with before and during our stay. We couldnât fault the house itself, or the pool it truly was beautiful.. the pool was a perfect depth and size for us and our 2 kids (13 and 12) hours of sun and fun was had!!
Truthfully you are only 5 mins walk from the village of Archez but a car would be advised if you want to explore, we didnât do a lot so it was perfect for us! Although the hills up to the house were a struggle, what awaits at the top is fab! Carl the guy who looks after the property and cleans the pool even gave me a lift to the next village up as I needed the pharmacy! So lovely and the local people are lovely and so helpful! We visited the other 2 villages above Archez, Canillas de Albaida and Competa and tried a few local restaurants which were fab!
Thanks again Margaret for sharing your beautiful house with us..
Kind regards
Irene and family
We have recently returned from a holiday in this traditional villa situated in a small village in the Spanish hills. From the outset of our booking and throughout our visit, the host provided very prompt replies to our queries and was most informative and knowledgeable, providing all the necessary information.
The villa is situated up a steep hill, with parking just outside the property. The villa is completely enclosed and offers full privacy, the views both during the day and evening are glorious and very peaceful. There are several seating areas but my favourite was the super comfortable area right outside the front door. The sun loungers and pool were wonderful and made for many a happy afternoon relaxing and cooling off.
The only point for consideration with this property is its location. We had initially booked for 14 nights but for us as a family with teenage children it was a little too quiet for this length of stay. There are 3 main restaurants in Archez but with one being shut it limited where we could eat without taking the car. We also missed a potter around the tourist shops and the buzz of a more popular resort. Archez is situated 15.2 km from the main highway, so it takes 25 minutes driving along a steep, windy road to reach the property.
If you are looking for a traditional Spanish holiday villa in a truly peaceful location, then this place will tick all the boxes but for us 8 nights was perfect with the other 6 in a busier area with more options in the evening.
Happy holidays
After viewing 14 properties in 3 days, we fell in love with this one as soon as we came through the gates. The gardens and terraces are beautiful and the views are absolutely stunning. Because we are driving a lot at work we wanted to be within walking distance of at least 1 restaurant and 1 supermarket. We are lucky enough to be able to walk to 3 restaurants and 2 supermarkets in our own village and a similar number in the next village. I often travel to our villa alone and wanted to have somewhere that was private but not isolated. The real deciding factor though, was the warmth of the local people. Our village is a small Spanish community where the most valuable assets are family and friends.
The fact that the village is very self contained means that we don't always need to rent a car as we can buy everything that we need locally. If we want to take a trip to Granada, Seville etc we will rent a car, but if not, Maria, the local taxi driver, will collect us at the airport and take us back there at the end of our holiday. The majority of our returning guests do not rent a car now.
