Schroon Lake est une charmante petite communauté remplie d'aventures nichées entre Lake George et Lake Placid. Maison 4 saisons! Schroon offre tout ce que vous voulez et rien que vous n'aimez! Un lac propre et baignable avec une merveilleuse petite plage et une marina pour louer des pontons et des bateaux rapides avec tubing! Tout à Schroon est un peu plus facile que partout ailleurs. Pas de lignes, pas de frais pour se garer à la plage. Juste l'air amical de la montagne!
Le lac Schroon a une ville charmante avec plusieurs restaurants incroyables, une vie nocturne animĂ©e, de la musique live tous les soirs, des foires artisanales, de bons cafĂ©s, du vĂ©lo, des randonnĂ©es, un parcours de golf de 9 trous en plein dans la ville. SĂ©journez Ă  Schroon ou partez pour une excursion d'une journĂ©e Ă  Lake Placid oĂč vous pourrez vous arrĂȘter, faire de la randonnĂ©e, nager et voir les magnifiques montagnes de l'ADK et le sommet du mont Marci! Ou prenez une journĂ©e Ă  Lake George et parasail, manger sur l'eau, aller pour une croisiĂšre de feux d'artifice.
Apportez vos gros jouets! Notre maison de 6 acres est littĂ©ralement situĂ©e sur le sentier de motoneige et parcourt des kilomĂštres et des kilomĂštres. En Ă©tĂ©, vous pouvez faire du quad et du dirt bike. En hiver, vous pouvez faire de la motoneige jusqu'Ă  Gore et skier Ă  seulement 20 minutes. Le lac Schroon est connu pour ses carnavals d'hiver et cette ville reste vivante tout l'hiver. Si vous ĂȘtes un randonneur, venez Ă  l'automne. Sight dĂ©couvrez toutes les couleurs ADK et la faune magnifique sur des milliers de kilomĂštres de sentiers de randonnĂ©e et de kayak.
Nous avons notre propre Ă©tang isolĂ© sur notre route qui est spectaculaire pour le kayak et la pĂȘche. Notre location vient avec un kayak deux places et un bateau de pĂȘche avec moteur Ă  la traĂźne. Notre dernier locataire a attrapĂ© plus de 50 poissons en une journĂ©e sur notre Ă©tang !! C'est vraiment un joyau !!! et la pĂȘche aussi. House a des cannes Ă  pĂȘche, des vĂ©los et des jouets Ă  utiliser. Nous ne pouvons pas attendre que votre famille commence Ă  crĂ©er des souvenirs ici!

Every year we all get together for a family weekend visit in Schroon Lake. This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is perfect for our fairly large group, and has plenty of space for all of us. The teenagers love the hot tub and also love the pool table and Pac-Man! The family room/dining/kitchen is large enough for everyone to hang out, and the south facing deck is a great spot for hanging out in the sun. We love that it is close to town and the lake, but it is also in the woods and very secluded - you can't even see a neighbor. Hopefully we will stay here again next year! The host was very accommodating and got back to me quickly when I had a small problem with the dishwasher. Great place!

This rating should go to ELEVEN! The house has everything you need for an amazing time in the Adirondacks. After a day hiking we enjoyed the full moon and stars around the fire pit, then jumped in the hot tub. No one turned on a TV all weekend (even though there's one in every room if you're tempted). Everything you need to throw a gourmet meal together, or grab a juicy burger in downtown Schroon 5 minutes away. Host Mary Jane was a great resource and knows the area and the cool local places. Best VRBO we've ever rented, excellent on every level.

Great location. Close to the lake but far enough away from crowds and noise. We spent most of our time hiking and exploring the Adirondack area. The hot tub was a nice way to cap off a day of hiking. We made great use of the outdoor grill and relaxed around the fire pit after. I highly recommend a vacation in Lake Schroon!

Great house close to town

Every year we visit Schroon Lake in October to gather with several of my family members. This house is a great location, close to town, and nicely secluded with lots of trees. It has a large open floor plan, good sized kitchen, and wrap around deck so everyone can spread out. The hot tub was great to relax in, and the fire pit had plenty of chairs for everyone to sit around the fire and make smores! Firewood was provided which was really great. The kids loved the game room. Mattresses and bedding were very comfortable. The carpet on the stairs didn't look freshly cleaned, so I gave cleanliness a 4, but overall this is a really great house!

Mid-week mini vacation with family

This house is PERFECT for a large family vacation! We had seven adults and two dogs and there was plenty of space, every amenity you could ask for, location was perfect, private yet not far from the town. We cannot express what a wonderful vacation we all had together at this house. We are already discussing renting again next year! Thank you for your perfect home!

Perfect spot for a family vacation!

The loose moose lodge was the ideal location for our family getaway! With 7 adults and 5 kids, there was plenty of room for everyone. The location couldn’t have been better with less than a 5 minute drive from Schroon village and the public beach and within 30 minutes to many other local amenities, including Lake George. The host was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Tornado induced power outage added adventure to the week

Loose Moose Lodge was in the middle of a power outage that lasted an additional 36 hours after our arrival. Mary Jane had contacted us about the situation before our arrival. Lanterns were easily accessed. The cleaning crew did an exemplary job, making beds and preparing the facility with no electricity. We were a party of 13 ranging in age from 4 years to 70+. . The many bedrooms suited our family perfectly! The woods provide privacy, yet we’re close to Schroon Lake’s excellent swimming beach and shopping area. Seagle Music Festival is just a few miles up Charley Hill Rd where you can enjoy musicals and opera productions. The information book at the lodge helped us find activitĂ©s such as Lumberjack mini-golf. We also went on several hikes. The hot tub, old fashioned video games, ping-pong, pool table, corn hole, badminton, darts, board games and the fire circle were enjoyed by all. Beds were comfortable; toiletries and towels for showers and the beach were plentiful. There’s also a large washer and dryer! Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great house, great location, great host

If you're looking for a place that is secluded but also close to a quaint town that has everything, this is the place for you. We stayed with six people, but the house could have easily fit double that it was the best place for a relaxing get away. Highlights for us were the quiet surroundings, the game room for the kids, the hot tub for mom, the hike down the road to Horseshoe Pond (where we found an actual horseshoe!) and the 3 minute drive into town to use the beach, go to restaurants, the food store, and even catch a movie in the old movie theater. Truly awesome place!

Lovely stay for the eclipse.

It's a beautiful place, plenty of activities to do around the house and downtown Schroon Lake has plenty of amenities too. We caught the eclipse in the back yard and had a spectacular time the whole weekend. The host was responsive when we had questions and was proactive in getting us the information we needed ahead of time.

Great Time at the Loose Moose!

Our family sincerely enjoyed our stay at the Loose Moose! We had thirteen people (ages: 5,8,9,12,14,15,17, 44,45,48,49,73, and 74). There was plenty of space and plenty of fun for everyone! We downhill skied at Gore for two days and cross-country skied at Van Hoevenberg one day. We skated, bowled, and hiked! We had great family time at the house! We played board games, billiards, ping-pong, and had a campfire in the backyard! My Dad earned the top Pac-Man score with over 20,000 points, shattering the old record (see if you can top it on the classic standup arcade console in the game room)! The hot tub, couches, chairs, and tables were perfect! The moose and antler decor was well-selected and very creative! This house was excellent for relaxation, fun, and family time! We have stayed in about ten other great Vrbo houses around the country and the Loose Moose is 5 stars for sure!

There is lots to do. We ventured out to beach and rented a boat. We had the hot tub, fire pit, lots of games and enjoyed hanging out on the front porch morning, noon and night!

Amazing Place!

This house is all as described and more! The rooms were clean and spacious and the kitchen allowed us to cook big meals. There are TV’s in every room and a nice game room. The porch was a great feature as we had a couple of days of rain but the porch allowed us to be outside regardless. The fire pit was a great place to relax in the evening with a fire and there was plenty of firewood. The hot tub was a great way to relax as well. The area around the house was quiet with plenty of nature
Schroon lake was a short drive away with small shops and a few restaurants. Also great for fishing a I caught a 3-pound large mouth bass. A very quaint and quiet town. This house is well located with easy access to the highway. Overall our whole family enjoyed the week we spent there and truly loved this outstanding home. The owner, Mary Jane, was always available when we had questions and was a great host! She made our stay even more enjoyable.

Family Time!

We had a nice 10-day vacation staying here. Everyone really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night (with plenty of wood) and using the hot tub. The kitchen/dining area was plenty big for our group (10) where we ate most of our meals, played games, and just enjoyed being together. Schroon Lake was a short drive away and great for the kids. The mosquitoes were definitely an annoyance and we've never seen them in swarms like that. Don't know if that is normal in the Adirondacks in the summer or if it was due to the high amount of rain this year. One last comment: communicating with the owner was fantastic. She was fantastic and immediately responded to every question I had. She even gave us an update from the power company when the electricity went out during a storm and told us which restaurants were open (or closed) during the outage!

Awesome time in Schroon!

Our crew had a great time at this property. The house is about 5 minutes from town so easy to pick up groceries for dinner. The game room downstairs is awesome, plenty of seating/space for a large group, a very comfortable stay for us all. The owner is very friendly and responsive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Parent’s Anniversary Celebration

AMAZING is how I can some up this trip and our stay! Mary Jane was prompt with her replies and extremely accommodating. The weather wasn’t very nice for two days and she went out of her way to make it right. I am grateful to her for that. My parents hearts left full. For the first time in many years they had all their children under one roof for a week. I would love to come back and enjoy this beautiful home in the future!

The beach is never overcrowded, and the swimming area is roped off from boats, ensuring a safe and relaxing dip in the crystal-clear waters. For even more fun, rent a pontoon boat from the Schroon Lake Marina and take the family tubing, or simply cruise the lake and fish. In winter, you can rent snowmobiles for an unforgettable ride across the frozen lake—a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Winter Wonderland: When snow falls, enjoy sleds for the kids and a cozy hot tub after a day of fun.

Outdoor Fun: The backyard has a 4-season hot tub, a fire pit, Adirondack chairs for s’mores, and plenty of firewood.

Multiple Living Areas: With two living rooms, there’s space for multiple families. Let the kids have fun while you relax.

A Getaway Within a Getaway: Our new mini cabin outside the main house is perfect for couples or kids. It features a full-size bed, a twin mattress, heating, electricity, and a smart TV.
