Trash and Recycle: In the Adirondacks we are very keen on the environment, and this means we do recycle our trash. Please keep separate bags (we supply them, under basement stairs) in large cans for plastic, tin & steel and glass. Newspaper in a pile. Check out time is 10 am, no later: 1) Do not lock the side door, the caretaker will be in shortly. Leave the keys on the kitchen counter. 2) Please strip the beds and pillow cases. Place al used towels and linens in the provided laundry baskets near the washer and dryer. We request that you start washing a load of the sheets/pillowcases/towels when you leave. There is limited time in between guests to clean all the used linen and this helps to get the job done. 3) Please leave the camp as you found it, an old Adirondack tradition. - "take out what you brought in" - kitchen cleaned up, dishes done & put away - laundry in the washing machine and going - turn off lights - set baseboard thermostats to OFF - pack up your belongings, food & liquor - lock back doors, close windows - garbage in bag in garbage cans under cellar stairs Actually these things are not a lot to do and it makes it much easier to welcome the next guest on time just as you were welcomed.
Les réservations annulées au moins 60 jours avant le début du séjour pourront être remboursées à hauteur de 100 %.
Quiet cabin on the lake
We had a wonderful long weekend celebrating a birthday with family. The cabin is accurately described and we were thrilled to stay there. The lake is so beautiful and peaceful. Having access to boats (rowboat, canoe) was wonderful, we spent an afternoon paddling around the lake. The kitchen had adequate supplies to prepare meals and was very clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and the towels and linens in good shape. I would love to come back and spend more time here.
Very quiet, very private.
The house is great. Has everything you need. The bedroom arrangement was perfect for us. Plenty of room and the woodstove kept it toasty. The views out onto the lake were gorgeous. We went beginning of October and it was very private with lots of room for the Labs. I especially appreciated the laundry area. It was nice that there's a good supermarket in town which is very close by.
Wonderful Adirondack Experience
This property provides a great family experience. Clean and comfortably prepared, Running Deer Lodge gave our family beautiful sunsets, water activities and the right combination of privacy and access to other Adirondack sites. Our Labrador Retriever was beside himself with joy. I would highly recommend this property.
Our third visit to this home didn’t disappoint us. The home had more than enough space for our family of five. It was well stocked with anything we might need for cooking. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming in the pond. We spent our nights around the fire pit enjoying the views of the loons and the amazing sunsets. Being allowed to take our dog made it a true family vacation!
Our family had a wonderful week. This property is set on a lovely pond, and it was so quiet and restful. Great kayaking, great fishing and no technology. A week without TV or computers! Just time with family and nature. Loved it.
