Thankfully in my 23 years of owning and renting condos on the beach at our complex, I have never had such a bizarre situation as with your recent input. I do everything possible to give a positive experience to our guests, always. I cannot tell you how shocking it was to get the nasty notes you left on the day you checked out with the your list of "issues." I did hear from your husband prior to your arrival thanking me for the Inventory List and all of the arrival info, which seemed typical. Then, zero communication about anything and not even a question or comment via text, email or a phone call for your entire 28 night stay in the unit? All I can do is say the information you shared when I reached out to you after reading the notes was either 100% unfounded or a very simple issue I would normally handle for my guests and quickly. (Bug spraying) We DO have full beach access and rather than going down the beach stairs, you step directly onto the sand which puts you on the beach. Owners and guests are using our pool AND the pool deck almost daily, depending upon the weather. We have pest control on call 5 days a week, however I do need to know about a bug in the unit in order to set up for a service call. At one day out from your departure, there is nothing I can do about that? I cannot control the path of the storms in 2022 and the aftermath of work and repairs needed in our area, nor in a condo you mentioned with mold? Clueless again on that. Our complex had more damage than any of us would want, of course, however it was and is nothing like you described. Engineers and inspectors would never allow people in a pool that is "caving in" as you stated to me by email this week. Nor would people be allowed to walk on the pool deck. They cannot take a chance in their profession, just as with the complex and any potential liability "if" that were the case. I will say it again just as I did in my emails, if I had known about your level of displeasure on day 1 or 2, I would have worked in every way possible to find you another rental for your month. But, I need to be called, texted or emailed if that truly was your feeling. And, I don't know why anyone would choose to drive or do an extended walk to get onto the beach somewhere else? I did not book rental guests during the time frame before the sand was built up on our property for guests to access the beach easily "unless" they were ok with the setting when I explained it to them. I have had zero complaints since the storms. Not even one hint of anything from anyone, so the information you have shared by email and now your review is anything but accurate. I apologized for your negative experience and expressed my disappointment in you not choosing to notify me while you were in the unit. An apology "after the fact" is all I could offer you. It is impossible for me to make sense of your desire to share such negative, inaccurate information from your stay, however I move forward and enjoy hearing about the joy the condo and our complex is bringing to our current guests. It is a well loved vacation rental. Sandy
