Nichée sous une canopée de chênes et située à quelques pas de la ville historique de Gruene, au Texas, notre maison d'hôtes est un "chez soi loin de chez soi" pour les clients souhaitant un séjour romantique et confortable, un lieu de rassemblement pour la famille, une retraite spirituelle, ou un endroit isolé pour un travail tranquille. Dans le style d'une maison historique allemande traditionnelle, votre expérience ressemblera à celle d'un séjour au deuxième étage d'une maison ancienne dotée des commodités modernes et des loisirs faciles.

Girls’ river weekend

My two girlfriends and I decided to have a little getaway to float the river and this property was perfect for us! It had everything we needed; the beds were so comfortable; it was cozy and cute and we loved it!

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed Saturday- Monday. We really loved our stay. We stayed in the top floor and we felt like we had full privacy. I would love to rent out the whole unit for our family in the future. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I would 100% stay here again. The location is really close to downtown Gruene. Very easy to go back and forth. Very much enjoyed our stay!

Ideal spot for a Gruene getaway!

This accommodation is located in a neighborhood very near Gruene, TX. Although not a riverfront property, it is very close to both Gruene and New Braunfels for easy access to tubing, restaurants, shopping and excellent dining. It is so well designed and decorated it provides an upscale but comfortable stay. Kathleen and Greg are excellent hosts and have thought of everything. The house is in their backyard (a beautiful setting!) has ample well marked parking and both the upstairs and downstairs are connected by an interior door should you need the space of both rentals. There is nice, shady outdoor space to enjoy with a firepit, beautiful plants and a small dining area. There are bbq pits should you want to grill and a kitchenette with hotplate and small refrigerator. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning watching the hummers zoom by! We will be back for sure.

Lovely stay

The entire experience was great, starting from BEFORE I booked. Kathy answered all the questions I had and kept communication open. The apartments are cozy, clean and well cared for. Kathy and Greg add special touches like cold water in the icebox and snacks. The outside of the property was the perfect place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning with the deer and Hummingbirds and relax in the evening with a glass of wine. Very good location, we walked to Gruene Hall (however it is country road so use caution) and was a short drive anywhere we wanted to go. We will stay here again!

Because we are not located right on the Guadalupe, we are often sought after for the peace and quiet we can afford at River Haven. River access is only a half mile from us, and the village of Gruene is one mile away, however, and we have the unique quality of being desirable for every season, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, where guests can enjoy shows by artisans, seasonal activities, superior music at Gruene Hall, Whitewater Amphitheater, River Road Ice House, as well as numerous nearby smaller venues in Gruene and New Braunfels. San Marcos Outlet Shopping is a 20 minute drive away and downtown New Braunfels is 11 minutes away, and you will find abundant night life, antiquing and shopping there, also. Don't forget Wurstfest in the Fall!
