Top of the Rock is a private, fully separated lower-level suite within our home, and we (the owners) live upstairs. While you’ll have your own entrance and space, you may occasionally hear normal household activity — most guests find this minimal and appreciate the added sense of security and responsiveness during their stay.

We had a great stay! The property was very clean and comfortable as well as being uniquely decorated. The beautiful view from the back porch overlooked the Kentucky River and the Frankfort historic district. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch to enjoy it! Mark was quick to answer any questions we had and also gave us great advice about restaurants and places of interest in the area. We definitely would stay here again.

Kitchen was fully stocked, and the hosts provided Keurig cups and a few extra items. Place was very clean, and had everything we needed.. Beds were comfortable.Location was great with a beautiful view and close to Buffalo Trace and downtown Frankfort!Hosts were very responsive and available, and they had great recommendations on where to go.If/when we visit the area again we would love to stay here again!

You will not find a better place to stay in Frankfort! The place was beautiful - rooms were spacious and gorgeously decorated, the view was impressive, and we were very close to the distilleries. Our hosts were the best! Mark gave us great recommendations that made our first trip so much more enjoyable - from how to make the most of touring the bourbon trail to places to dine, it was a true VIP experience.

The Weather was Frightful but the stay delightful

Top of the Rock was a beautiful place to stay. It had everything we needed. Unfortunately, it was too hot out and we couldn't use the firepit. The hot tub is a nice amenity. The kitchen is well stocked, the towels are nice and the beds are comfy. Mark was very quick to respond and gave great recommendations for food and drinks nearby.We are already planning our next bourbon trip, and will definitely be staying here in the future.

Highly recommend! It’s a great apartment in a perfect spot for exploring the bourbon trail. We had everything we needed and it was very clean. Definitely one of the better VRBO’s we’ve stayed in! Mark was awesome and very hospitable. He went out of his way to be an ideal host. We’ll be back!
