Experience the charm of the Selbert along the Bourbon Trail. This stunning apartment has so much history inside. The apartment's highly desired location offers breathtaking views of the Old Capital lawn, providing a sense of serenity in the heart of the city. Located on the St. Clair Mall, you can enjoy various restaurants and local shopping within walking distance. Two dedicated parking spaces in the rear of building along with free off-street parking on Broadway. Enjoy Buffalo Trace, Castle and Key, and Four Roses Distilleries, all within a short drive from The Selbert.
This was an excellent accomodation for our tour of distilleries in the Frankfort area. Close access to the other few bars/restaurants in the downtown. Beautifully redone historic property and well worth a stay.
Family visiting for a wedding. We had a great time. The Selbert is close to everything, it's spacious, comfortable, and clean. Very happy we chose this property. Highly recommend!
We loved the easy access to parking, shopping and dining. Going to the horse park was easy and convenient. We also visited Woodford Reserve. Property was beautiful and clean. Everything worked and we had no issues. Thanks for a wonderful visit.
Three couples on a mission to Buffalo Trace and this location is in the perfect spot. Only a mile away! We also went to Bulliet, Castle & Key and Glenns Creek. The town of Frankfurt is cute with shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend the Selbert!
Super super cool apartment!! Tons of space. Great location. Right on Main Street! 1 mile from Buffalo Trace. Will definitely book again and highly recommended.
Perfect for our trip to many distilleries in the bourbon trail. Very clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. Love the off street parking. Would definitely stay again!
Absolutely loved our stay. The property was exactly as described and pictured. Stunning and well kept. The host was extremely helpful in many ways. We can not wait to come back!
Stayed for a long weekend to tour the bourbon trail, and this was the perfect place. Plenty of room and lots of unique finds within walking distance. Loved it!
Easy to find with precise directions. Very clean and up to date appliances and bathrooms. Walking distance to good food and drink. Owner Dave at House of Commons was very pro downtown and we would do it all again in a heartbeat! 5 stars
The Selbert is a great value for a location on âthe Bourbon Trailâ that is within an hour drive (or less) of many distilleries. It is well appointed for those wanting to enjoy meals in the residence; but it is within a few minutes walking distance to many great restaurants and bars.
The host was most helpful with any needs and provided support and guidance when we had questions. I plan to stay there again when visiting Kentucky!
This property is magnificent. It is immaculate. It is breath-taking in that the ceilings had to be at least 12 feet, there are two stairs cases - one which was quite grand with a beautiful original wood banister. The kitchen is spacious and updated with a modern flair and the living room was big enough for all of us to sit and socialize at night and in the morning. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable and the sheets were so soft. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were nice and hot. There were views of Main Street from the bedroom and bathroom. The decor throughout was lovely. The property is very conveniently located to lots of restaurants, bars and shops and 5 minutes to Buffalo Trace and grocery stores. The host was prompt in all communications and went above and beyond to ensure we had the very best experience. I can't wait to stay here again.
Not only was this outstanding apartment comfortable and plenty big for the 4 of us, but we also enjoyed being able to walk to the nearby restaurants & bars. We visited several nearby distilleries, and Mill Ridge Farm. Buffalo Trace is only 1.4 miles walking distance away. Part of the walk is by the river, and part is on a wide sidewalk near a busy road.
When we discovered there were no dishwasher tablets, the owner response was very quick.
Our group of 4 stayed two nights while visiting some distilleries.
We immediately loved the property and it's spaciousness. It offered everything we needed for our weekend.
The bars on the street below were noisy, but seemed to have a firm curfew that didn't go too late.
Overall, we loved it and would definitely book again.
We drove through some pretty nasty storms on our way and arrived at the parking area for the Selbert to be greeted by one of the owners. Apparently the storms nocked the power out to our black. We dropped bags off and were able to walk to one of the restaurants in the area. Returned and still no power. The owners dropped off candles and flashlights for us to use. Power came back on in the middle of the night. The rental was amazing in the light of day. Details in the remodeling and decoration are great! Everything was super comfortable. The area was completely walkable and a great central area for the bourbon trail. It was a little noisy one night but the owners saw to that with noise machines in the bedrooms. Will most definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends and families! Thank you
