While the house was clean, we had no check in/check out instructions and waited almost an hour for Vrbo to hunt down the owner. The driveway and parking are atrocious!!! It was a strange layout. One bathroom was dangerous with a falling pole holding a large curtain surrounding a tub/shower that made anyone who used it have to assume an uncomfortable and dangerous position to hurdle in and out.

Thanks for expressing yourself. We were let down by the website as they did not forward entry details to the guest. The shower circular rod over the jacuzzi tub was completely removed and reinstalled with new supports. We thought this had happened to a prior guest but now may see this was within this stay (but this manner of facility failure would not involve fault of any guests and we are always happy to just have it brought to our attention). And the driveway, parking area as well as parking habits of other street parkers involve the City design of the parking area, the 8' wide driveway built for model T's I'd say, or other matters out of our control. On that basis, and in the zone of 'awfulizing' as we call it, we are so complimented that, with this level of scrutiny, we had a full approval of our cleans. We certainly will apologies once again for the entry detail mishap, which sends a week beforehand. And the shower rod failing (now renewed). Best D

It is a older, cozy home on a cul de sac that is walking distance to State St and the area restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights with our rescue border collies and it worked really well for us.Communication with the host was very responsive.One note, street parking is limited. The driveway to the back parking looks intimidating but I managed it in a 2025 Ford Expedition. Definitely have a spotter and you will do fine.

Great detailed review and thanks for that. The driveway is exactly 8' wide and was designed for model Ts no doubt! And 2 cars fit well and 3 can be done in the back. But some may have to back out. The street can fill and watch for street sweeping day on the signs is about the only caviate. Hope to see you again, and thanks again D

David was very responsive to my inquiries. My sister left behind her medications in one of the bedrooms. David immediately went to the home, found them, and left them on the porch for my cousin to pick up. His quick attention to what could have been a major inconvenience was very much appreciated.

All the comfort of home

Stayed here with my kids and in laws and it was an easy stay. Location is killer for tourism of the beaches and state street.

Super cute Craftsman Bungalow! It felt like we were vacationing at the "family cabin on the lake". We were able to walk downtown 1-2 times each day. Nice backyard, big enough for the dog to run and for us to rally a pickleball. Thanks!

Wedding Stay

This house was centrally located to shopping areas and we could walk everywhere, so that made our stay nice.The weather was beautiful and we love Santa Barbara.

It is weird! A lot of these old places started with a big dining room. Which was critical then but they have become bedrooms now. So the original flows have all changed. Ok thx. D

Downtown Cottage

Our cottage was so cozy and relaxing. So close to the whole downtown area, walking to State St or Funk Zone was quick, so we didn't have to rent a car! We want to thank our VRBO host for such a comfortable stay!

Cozy and Convenient

Very close to The beach and State St. Everything is within walking distance. The house is charming and well equipped. Enough room for 4 folks.

Cute and clean

Very convenient with 2 bath and 2.5 bedrooms. Close to the beach, downtown and several stores. Well maintained, clean home with a large selection of coffee and clean linens :)
