Situation magnifique au calme de la montagne Pristine Lac

Avec 225 pieds de façade sur le lac cette propriété partage la fin d'une péninsule avec une autre maison. Il est considéré comme l'un des plus belles propriétés sur Highland Lake. Aires de repos attrayants, un gazebo et une cour de niveau expansive tous confrontés aux vues sur le lac et éloignés de Mt. Kearsarge et la montagne Ragged. L'utilisation complète du lac est encouragée avec une petite plage peu profonde, un quai de 30 pieds, et des kayaks disponibles, canoë et planche à aubes. De plus, la grande plage de la ville d'Andover se trouve à proximité (à quelques centaines de mètres), tout comme le Northern Rail Trail de 50 miles (à pied et à vélo) et une rampe de bateau publique. Tout près mais pas trop près. Cela ne veut pas une maison de location en tant que telle; mais une maison de l'année des vacances famille qui est parfois loué.

La maison a le charme des années 1940 avec de nombreuses fonctionnalités mises à jour, y compris une cuisine tout nouveau. Le grand salon / salle à manger a un mur à fenêtres exposées au sud en profitant de la vue magnifique tout en éclaircissant l'intérieur de la maison. Il y a trois chambres bien meublées à l'étage et une salle de bain complète; l'une des chambres dispose d'un lit king-size, l'un d'un lit queen-size et le troisième d'un lit double ainsi que d'un lit superposé. Il ya deux petites salles de multi-usage au large de la salle de séjour et la cuisine à l'étage principal avec une deuxième salle de bains (avec douche). Sur le côté nord de la maison est une grande véranda. Il ya une laveuse et une sécheuse dans la cave. La maison est très joliment meublée avec pratiquement tout ce qu'un locataire pourrait raisonnablement vouloir.

Rental Rules (Exhibit A) 1. Smoking is NOT allowed in the house or on the property. 2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of the Renter. 3. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or any of the equipment provided on the premises. This waiver of responsibility also includes any accidents in or related to the lake. It also includes any others whom the renters invite to use the premise. 4. Please treat the property and all furnishings with respect. 5. Appliances are only to be used for their intended uses. 6. Pets are NOT allowed. 7. Parking is limited to three vehicles. Two vehicles can be parked in the driveway and one on the left side of the driveway in the cul-de-sac. Please be careful not to block our neighbor’s driveway to the right. 8. Fireplace: The wood stove fireplace may be used with care. The dampers are preset and are not adjustable. ALWAYS USE THE PROVIDED FIRE SCREEN. There is a limited amount of fire wood that has been made available. Do not leave a fire unattended. When leaving the house or retiring for the night, be sure the wood store door is closed and latched. 9. Water and Septic: The house is on a well and septic systems. Both are in good order But because we are on a lake, we must be careful not to overload the septic system. Please do not flush anything anything but human waste and toilet paper. Also, please use the food grinder in the kitchen sink judiciously so as to not add too many solids to the septic. 10. Behaviour: While we certainly don’t mind renters entertaining guests, we do ask that renters do not host parties. We have exceptionally nice neighbors, and we are anxious that our renters do not in anyway create bothersome disturbances. Rowdiness and/or loud music are not OK. 11. Use of the lake and swimming area is at your own risk. You are encouraged to use the provided canoe and kayaks on Highland Lakes. They are not to be transported elsewhere for use on other bodies of water. Paddles and Life Jackets are provided in the shed. Life Jackets must be worn and firmly attached by all persons using the canoe or the kayaks. Persons using these boats and equipment must accept full responsibility under all circumstances. KAYAKS and Other Boats: Renters assume full responsibility for use of kayaks and all watercraft. Owners assume no responsibility for injury or death as a result of use. Guests acknowledge that they have a duty to inspect the kayak and other boats prior to use to assure that it is in a safe and proper condition for use. Guests acknowledge that owners are not present on the property and that guests are in a better position to inspect the kayak and other boats prior to use, than owners are. The kayak and other boats are to be used on Highland Lake only. Children will be supervised at all times while in watercraft. Guests agree to wear life preservers at all times when using any watercraft. Boats are for use by the Guests listed above only. Failure to do so WILL result in full loss of security deposit. NO LIABILITY/INDEMNIFICATION/HOLD HARMLESS: The owners of the property do not assume liability for the loss, theft, damage or injury (or death) to persons or their personal property. Guests agree to indemnify and hold the owners harmless for any liabilities, theft, damage, cost or expense whatsoever arising from or related to any claim or litigation which may arise out of or in connection with Guests’ use and occupancy of the rental property, including but not limited to claims for personal injury or property damage/loss. We really enjoyed our week here. We were not there even half of an hour, and an eagle flew practically right over us. Both eagles and loons were living on the lake. The lake was amazing. Smaller, but open with clean, clear, refreshing water with mountain views in the background. There's a public boat ramp that is easily accessible. The back door is maybe 30ft from the water. The house was clean, comfortable and had tons of space. There was any appliance you could need, and all in good working order. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils and cutlery. There was a nice Weber grill also. Plenty of space in the yard to play cornhole or croquet, which was supplied along with kayaks, paddle boards, a canoe and all the accessories. Josh was easy to communicate with. He was friendly, responsive and genuinely interested in our family having a good time while at his property. We would 100% stay here again.

This is clearly a family home that is loved and well cared for. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The best equipped kitchen of any property we have ever stayed at. Josh was excellent in communicating detailed instructions regarding check-in and answering any questions we had. Enjoyed the beautiful view, the loons calling and the eagle flying over. Fishing off the dock was excellent.

NY Getaway Weekend

This home had everything we were looking for. A great place to relax with beautiful views of Highland Lake. The fireplace was perfect for a cold, rainy and blustery day. It was very cozy and very neat. We enjoyed watching the locals ice fishing. We would stay again. Joshua, the owner, is a great communicator who does everything he can to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Quiet and peaceful

Wonderful home. Plenty of space. Kids had a blast. My husband and I got to relax and watch our kids enjoying themselves. Great view! Great spot to get up and walk out to the back, sit down by the lake and enjoy and leisurely cup of coffee...and a glass of wine in the evening.

Absolutely marvelous

The house and environs were perfect. The home was beautifully designed and suited our needs with 3 adults and 3 children ages 8-11. So much to do with waterboards, kayaks and our inflatables. Lake was clean and warm. Swimming area and dock. Biking trail close by. Lawn area for relaxing, playing outdoor games, using the fire pit to toast marshmallows, Gas grill for cooking out. Kitchen well stocked. What a gem. Hope we can come one day. Every amenity imaginable.

Perfect Lake Stay

This property is an ideal family lake house. It is homey, comfortable, clean, and has everything you need. There was no kitchen gadget we reached for that it didn't have. The washer, dryer, and dishwasher all worked great. For indoor entertainment there's tons of board games and a great library (plus tv with apps like Netflix etc.) The outside is beautifully landscaped and the lake is just steps away from the back door. There are multiple seating areas in the yard. The dock is sturdy and the fishing is good. Best of all kayaks and paddleboards are available. The host was super helpful and responsive and made some great local restaurant recommendations too! We couldn't ask for more!

Living the Lake Life!

This property is not just a rental - it is a home. You can tell from the moment that you walk in that this home is loved and cared for. The home is just as it appears in the listing pictures, but I've included some of my own pics as well. The home was very clean and well organized. Everything you need is accessible, and almost instinctively located. We had a wonderful week living the lake life here. My sons enjoyed kayaking (available with the rental) and we even walked the few yards down to the public beach, which was never overly busy even on the hottest days. I enjoyed cooking meals in the home's kitchen - all the necessary equipment was provided. And the beds were incredibly comfortable with very nice linens. The owner was very kind and very responsive to the couple of messages I sent before and during our stay. Overall, this was a fantastic taste of Lake Life and my family is very happy with the experience we had during our trip!

Exactly what we were looking for

We stayed for 2 months with the whole family. The house is much roomier than it appears from the outside, 8 or more people would have been very comfortable there. House has anything and everything you can possibly need including children toys and kayaks. Josh was great to deal with and very responsive. Great friendly neighbors and plenty of privacy. The house is right on Northern rail trail making for very easy hiking and biking even with children. Fast strong internet for those who can't leave work behind.. Hoping the house will become available in the fall so we can come spend some time on the lake again!

A hot week at Highland Lake

Our family of five adults and a two-year old toddler spent a week at this property. We had a wonderful time. The property was every bit as advertised, with ample bedroom space, a large and welcoming family area, dining room and kitchen. The house sits literally feet from the water and activities ranging from swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing are all at your finger tip. It was quite hot the week we were there, but the window A/C units in the downstairs space plus two upstairs bedrooms kept us comfortable--and except for one night the temperature dropped nicely anyway. We would definitely stay here again, with two quite minor caveats: first, the presence of the town beach a few hundred yards away was nice for our toddler, but also ramped up the noise factor as large numbers of people enjoyed the community beach; and second, while we had ample privacy, this is not a secluded property as the house sits on a cul-de-sac with several other properties, two of which abut this location on each side. This proximity was not obtrusive, but you knew you were part of a neighborhood instead of in a sequested retreat location. Not a bother for us, but worth knowing. One final word. Josh, the owner, was quite responsive from beginning to end, and made the details of our stay quite simple.

Had a Wonderful week at this terrific cottage! Immaculate, comfortable perfectly situated about 20 ft from the water. Nice, sturdy dock. Kitchen extremely well stocked with everything you might need. Kayaks, paddle board and lots of water toys. Pretty little lake with crystal clear water perfect for swimming and floating . Quiet and very relaxing. Great yard for games and fire pit for enjoying at night. Loved watching at listening to the family of loons which we saw several times each day. Great family vacation!

Amazing place with a very communicative owner

We were a party of 5 and we came to see my daughter graduate from college. We stayed 2 days and the house was extremely beautiful, on the lake with an amazing view. There was a lot of space for all of us and the owner was really fast at replying to our questions. Thank you so much for letting us stay here! Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful House

Wonderful Lake House

We just loved this beautiful place! It was comfortable, clean as a whistle, quiet and picturesque, which was perfect for our family. Everything you need for cooking, it's there in the well-equipped kitchen. And you can dine inside, on the porch or out on the dock -- lots of options, no matter the weather. Wonderful place

Lake House Perfection

The house on HIghland lake was perfect. It was clean, well maintained, comfortable, warm ( in a blizzard), and has beautiful views of the lake. Josh was accommodating of our special requests, ( providing a ground floor bed for our elderly father) and shoveling the drive and walk. It was a wonderful Place to write, read, relax and enjoy our grandchildren. We can't wait to return.

Beautiful location right on the lake, great house

We had a very nice stay on Highland Lake. The house is well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat, and even swimming. Fall foilage was at its peak and the vista from the house with the colorful trees was absolutly gorgeous. We hope to be back soon!

Gorgeous location, wonderful lake and caring owners

What an amazing week we had. It was hurricane weather at our home and positively perfect at our home away! The lake is the nicest we have been to and the home and owners were delightfully comforting. Thank you to all involved!

This house was recently purchased by our family to be used as a vacation home. We live and work, close by, at Proctor Academy which is also in Andover. We are both college graduates, if that is important. VRBO seems to think so.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We had been looking for a house, appropriate for us, on Highland Lake for some time and feel very fortunate to have been able to purchase this property. It is a gem. We think the pictures tell the story.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This is one of the few four season houses on this area of the lake. There is a nice sense of community here during the summer, and during the other months we have the area pretty much to ourselves. We have the benefit of our own secluded and completely accessible waterfront with a small beach and a dock, but also the property has proximity to the town beach and the rail trail. This is a perfect spot for one or two families with up to six children (more if the two multi-use rooms are utilized as bedrooms--there are two air mattresses available).

There is lots to do in the area: Although East Andover itself is a very small village, Andover is 7 minutes west on rt 11 (Bank, Pizza Chef, mini mart wine and beer selection), and Proctor Academy (tennis, hiking trails). 15 minutes to the east on Rt. 11 is the small city of Franklin with restaurants and a Hannafords Grocery Store. 10 minutes further east on Rt. 11 is The Tangiers Discount Mall which is surrounded by box stores (Walmart, Hone Depot, Lowes) and lots of franchise restaurants. So the unique benefit is a beautiful and peaceful rural lake setting which is not far from lots of things people seem to want.
