Alexander at Creek Road is the perfect getaway from bustling city life. It is so quiet and peaceful, and the accommodations are fantastic. The property manager was easy to communicate with and was able to help with last minute changes. Cannot recommend this place more!
This was the perfect spot for us. We were away for the weekend to watch multiple baseball games that my grandson plays in. The location was spot on and it was so peaceful to come back and relax after games. We will definitely return
We were last minute with our reservation, but response was quick and there were no issues. The property is lovely with several individual cabins all beautifully decorated. Property management was very easy to work with and accommodating. Great experience!
Homey Hill Country getaway. Far enough away from Dripping Springs to be quiet and secluded and still offer quick and easy access to town. Booking was easy and the owner was responsive to questions. We will definitely be back in the summer!
The Guest Quarters on the property was fantastic! Terrific views from the front porch. Wonderful front yard for lounging. The room was spacious for a couple and had a wonderful bathroom. Keurig coffee maker was also a much needed plus! Being a short drive to the heart of Dripping Springs makes it an awesome choice when staying out in Hill Country to hike, wine taste or have fun at the local breweries.
Very nice accommodations.we were very pleased with our stay. The owners, Matt and Michelle, made us feel like family and were very responsive to our needs. We will definely come back and would highly recommend Alexander at Creek in Dripping Springs, Texas.
We stayed at this property in mid-November. There is a thermostat in the room, however, it seemed that we had no control of the temperature setting. There is a space heater which did heat the bedroom, but, since it had no temperature control, it was a matter of turning it off and on. This room and bathroom are attached to the home of the owners, thus, we could hear voices and, at times, small dogs barking.
Because it is near Dripping Springs, it was convenient for getting to the wedding and events leading up to the wedding we were there to attend. However, there is no place to hang suits and dresses. If clothes can remain folded while there, the chest with shelves is great. The bathroom has a cubbyhole for possibly hanging four items.
The description we read stated that there was a small refrigerator. There were, in fact, two coolers: one large enough to hold two small (20 oz.) milk bottles and a second had racks for water bottles, juice, etc.
This property was such a wonderful find, having so many cottages all closely arranged was perfect for our group. Each cabin has a different feel, all beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast muffins were in the room as well as bottled water, orange juice and plenty of coffee items, this was convenient saving a trip to the store. Michelle was available for any need you may have but gave complete privacy to her guest. There are numerous vineyards and antique shops in the area so lots to do and see but if you are looking to spend some time in nature and quiet this is a wonderful place for that too. Hope to return soon!!
We went to Dripping Springs for a wedding. The Alexander's place was perfect for us. Beautiful property, the room was clean and nicely decorated and Michelle and Matt were perfect hosts. We would highly recommend staying here if you love the Texas Hill Country and are looking for a nice get-away weekend!
We had a great time in Dripping Springs at the Alexander guest house! The room was very well done and cozy. If I could I would of given a 4.5 star, only because the thermostat was not controllable from the room itself. This was not a huge deal however. A quick text solved our issues. The property was beautiful and relaxing. Michelle was very nice and accommodating.
The Alexander Suite was a charming, spacious, comfortable king room for a romantic getaway. After a long drive in, we were pleasantly surprised to find fresh scones by the bed next to the Keurig, along with drinks in the fridge; these items were a simple yet meaningful touch. Michelle is a very friendly and welcoming host!
The property and the room are even prettier in person than in the pictures I perused before my visit. The owners were very friendly and responsive to any questions I had leading up to my visit. This was the perfect place to stay for a wedding weekend at Camp Lucy literally just down the road. I would love to come back another weekend to just relax with a good book and enjoy the front porch or swing a bit more. The large TV (with a good cable package) was also nice to have. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the decor was charming to the point of perfection. It is more than apparent that a lot of thought went into decorating this room. Additionally, this is one of the cleanest rooms I've EVER seen at a bed & breakfast or hotel. Now THAT is greatly appreciated! I've already recommended the property to a few friends and my parents suggesting they come for a weekend getaway. The only minor hiccup (and I truly mean minor) is that the description of amenities included a microwave. I was under the impression that the microwave was located in the guestroom so I brought a couple of microwaveable items that I was unable to use. But there was a beautiful breakfast/coffee bar set up in the room and it was thoughtfully stocked. The pastries were delicious, the coffee set up had everything I could possibly need, and the inclusion of a wine opener inspired me to go purchase a bottle to enjoy on the porch. The personalized "Alexander on Creek Road" coffee cups were a wonderful touch! I will definitely visit again.
Beautifully decorated unit. Very welcoming, comfortable and cozy. We just loved our stay and didn't want to leave. Beautiful piece of country. A great place to unwind. Michelle and Matt were perfect hosts. We will certainly be back.
We stayed here for our wedding at Camp Lucy. Our stay was wonderful - the bed is HUGE and super comfy and the shower was beautiful. Michelle communicated very well and check in and out couldn't have been easier. They were even thoughtful enough to leave us a little wedding gift and a note on the wild flowers they placed in the room.
My husband and I were attending a wedding at Camp Lucy, and this great find was only a couple of minutes away! The property was beautiful, and our room was just as nice! The owners had stocked our room with bottles of water, juice, pastries, and other treats. There was in room coffee and plenty of towels and toiletries. Matt and Michelle did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and relaxed! We would definetly recommend this spot for anybody looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat!

I'm a Texas girl! And although my hubby, Matt (of more than a couple of decades) is from California, it didn't take him long to find his heart here. And we fell in love with this beautiful spot in the country! We've always enjoyed all kinds of "hosting", and we love sharing this with others. This place is a labor of love, and our guests can feel that.
We chose this property for so many reasons. And when we saw this spot, with the wet-weather tanks, beautiful oaks, and hill-country views, we couldn't wait to get here. There's nothing I enjoy more than morning coffee on the porch with an amazing sunrise or an afternoon on the swing under a big oak. And Dripping Springs is so charming, along with nearby artsy Wimberley just down the way. Such a neat, relaxed getaway from busy, groovy Austin!
