Nice place, bit outdated, not enough outside lighting. You'd think on an acreage property a small firepit would be available, but no. No curtains on any windows other than bedrooms makes you feel a little exposed. Bedroom layouts are also strange if you were more than the 3 guests we were. Highly strange book on the shelf "p#nis pokie" were someones parts are put through the book as it is read. So I'd say highly inappropriate location for kids...
Conveniently located, close to the wedding venue we were attending. Lovely setting with a beautiful garden and pool .. abundance of birdlife in the morning and guineafowls pottering around the property. Great house for our 2 families to spend time together over the weekend.
David's place in Terara is delightful and quirky. Old world charm and the laid backness of the country.
The house is full of delights and the garden is enormous and full of flowers and vegetables. The saltwater pool was sparkling clean and it was great to have an outdoor shower just near it.
Not everything works perfectly - but that is part of the charm of this lovely old home! David has done a wonderful job thus far renovating it
Terara Parsonage was a wonderful place to holiday. The beautiful historic home is more a home away from home than more typical bland accommodation. The home itself is lovely and the gardens are stunning. There are chickens and a large vegetable garden with fresh eggs and produce part of the experience during our stay. The home is well equipped with quality appliances. The beds are comfortable with beautiful linens and the bathroom has a claw footed bath to relax after a day at the beach. The weather was unseasonally cool for our first two days so David thoughtfully provided us with warmer doonas which were as light as down. We had only one very small glitch as the toaster didnt work, but a replacement was provided ready for breakfast the next morning. All in all this was a wonderful holiday and being out of town on 3 serene acres also made it the perfect place to relax during the raging pandemic.
Thank you David for sharing your beautiful cottage! Everything was provided for and more, including fresh eggs from the chooks each morning.
Our family and friends loved their stay at the cottage and we will be back in the near future, Thank you again!
I canât recommend this property enough
We arrived and felt no need to leave for a week

Beat holiday ever

I enjoy doing up houses and landscaping. I have had to do very little to the house. The grounds have had fences built, new driveway and paths and a lot of trees removed. The garage was built in the 1980s and was brick with a tile roof and not at all harmonious with the house. The garage now has an iron roof and the bricks have been rendered.
The property is full of mature trees and has rich soil. Terara is a market gardener's paradise. The village predates Nowra and was devastated by a couple of floods in the late 1800. The house is old, charming and has a good vibe. The buildings form a central grassed courtyard which is very welcoming.
