The property has the potential to be a very nice older house. Outside is in disrepair. Pool is terrible, bbq have mold and mildew, inside was ok except for the kitchen where countertops, oven and small appliances were dirty. Trash was left in both the trash and recycle which stunk. There was exposed wires in the ceiling at the dining room light which probably isnât safe and not to code. I was allowed to check in early which I did by 1/2 hour at 3:30 with checkin being later than any hotel and other vrbo âs I have stayed. Appreciated being allowed to.
We were only here for one night and the weather was too chilly to take a dip in the pool. Parking was close to the guest house/pool. Nicely decorated but itâs small. Fortunately lots of outdoor space! Bed was very comfortable. Nice towels and many toiletries provided. Perfect location if you are looking to tour the Redwoods. Two things that kept me from giving 5 star rating were: there was old coffee(how old?) in the pot and the refrigerator is located outside of the unit and it wasnât clean.
For the price we paid we couldâve stayed at a very nice hotel. There were spiderwebs in every corner of our room. The whole place needs attention. The large trash cans outside had not been emptied for who knows how long. The large fridge and freezer in the breezeway has rotten food in it. The mirrored cabinet in our bathroom had expired toiletries in it from over 10 years ago. This could be a beautiful place to stay, but nobodyâs taking care of it. The best thing about it was that it was very quiet.
Lovely guest cottage next to a refreshing saltwater pool. The bed was very comfortable, the setting was perfect with wonderful pool, hot tub on golf course. Close to the historic Benbow Hotel & restaurant on the river.
