Overlook Victorian Mansion (5 chambres 10 personnes)

Thhis guest brought a dog even though we have a no pets policy. When we reached out to ask her about it she never returned any of our communication. We didn't push the issue this time but upon checkout beds were full of dog hair.

I was honest and gave this guest 5 stars on the overall rating because he followed the rules but not because he was easy to communiate with and several things this guest said on the review was inaccurate. First, the rules were on the page this guest just couldn't find them and then blamed us for the fact that he couldn't figure out where they were. Once I pointed him in the right direction, his response was "funny place to put them" even though they were on the front page of the description of the home. Secondly, this guest didn't have to beg about a later check in. This guest asked if he could have a later check in and we readily said yes. Thirdly we don't live on the property, we have very nice tenants who live in the SEPERATE apartment because the city of Portland REQUIRES it in order for a short term rental to be legal. Yard space, entrances and parking are completely separate. To be honest I have never had someone be as belligerent as this guest was in his communications in regards to quiet time rules (yes quiet hours are 10pm - 7am in the neighborhood and yes there is a fine ONLY if you blatantly violate those rules) and in the 3 years of running this short term rental I have yet to collect on any fine, something I explained to this guest but still not enough to appease him. This is also the first guest that has complained about the A/C. It is a brand new unit, less than 2 years old however if he had reached out during his stay(which he did not) and said anything about the A/C we would have gladly had someone take a look at it.
