Communication with the owner, Francis, was the best part: he was prompt and helpful in responding, flexible in his requirements, and very generous in helping us manage plans for an impending nor’easter bearing down on the island with diminishing options for getting to the mainland. The house was charming and very comfortable- we did not use the second building which looked to be set up for kids (eg bunk beds), and the location peaceful and had easy access to the beach. Madaket is not as “crazy” as the town of Nantucket, even in September. I strongly recommend this house … as long as you don’t take the weeks I want in 2027

This house is in the perfect location! Beautiful water views, and just a short walk to the beach and Millie’s. Smith’s Point was the ideal, kid-friendly beach—only a few minutes away. The host was extremely accommodating, offering helpful advice, answering questions promptly, and even allowing a late checkout. I would absolutely love to stay in this rental again!

Wonderful place to stay. Excellent location very near the beach. This was our second time staying at this house and will not be our last. Can’t wait to go again next year.

Will stay again

This is our third time in this home. The location is everything. Very close to the beach and beautiful views of the bay. And the owner, Frank, was very responsive and helpful with anything we needed. He went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Perfect Stay

When we arrived the property was very clean and had all the comforts of home. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything necessary to cook our own meals. The grill was an added bonus. We loved the location near Smiths Point and Madaket Beach. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and are looking forward to stay there again!

Madaket Beach

This house had a great location within walking distance to Madaket Beach, Smith’s Point, and Millie’s. Deck has a nice view of the water. Three bedrooms each had their own bathroom and kitchen was well equipped. Owner was extremely easy to communicate with. Recommended!

Frankies Starlight

This property was perfect for our needs. The location on the island is amazing as it allows you to get away from town and the crowds, but the convenience of the shuttle when you want to use it. The property presented exactly as it was described and the owner provided a very comprehensive and helpful "user guide" that we found helpful. This property does not disappoint.

A little piece of Nantucket paradise

Our stay at Frankie Starlight was absolutely amazing. Francis was a great host, responded quickly to texts (no issues, just couldn't find the code he had originally sent!) the House was clean and cozy. Kitchen was easy to cook in and well stocked! Our kids loved using some of the toys. The yard and back porch were prefect for evenings with young kids. Wine on the porch while they played! We will definitely be back.

Just perfect

What a beautiful, comfortable, relaxing home and a perfect spot. We spent a week, each day exploring parts of the island by kayak, bicycle, car, or walking to and on Madaket beach just a few minutes away, then relaxing at home in the evenings. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking at home a breeze but it was also just a 15 minute ride into town to reach all the great restaurants. The owner provided great recommendations on what to see/ do/ where to shop and eat. Can’t wait to return some day. LOVE this home!

Excellent Stay in Madaket

This house was perfect for our needs in Madaket. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars was because the water heater broke while we were there and sprayed all over the room making bedding and clothing wet, requiring quite a bit of clean up. However, Francis was immediately available by phone and it was fixed the very next day. The house was in great condition. Very clean and steps to the beach. I will definitely be staying there again. Madaket is such a magical place.

Summer Vacation Perfection

What a wonderful location and perfect layout to give each of our guests their own privacy and their own bathroom! The shared space never felt crowded and the back deck and daybed were perfect for sunset dinners and relaxing. There are water views from almost every point of this house and there is a wonderful outdoor shower with amazing water pressure! The proximity to the beaches and our beloved Millie's restaurant was ideal. We walked everywhere. This is a great rental for adults or adults with kids - very safe, quiet street, barley any traffic. I highly recommending renting Frankie Starlight! We will be back!

Frankie's Starlight *and* Frank (the owner) are F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!! Best rental experience ever!!

My family and I just spent 9 days at Frankie's Starlight and it was *wonderful*-- the rental is very spacious (2 large bedrooms, each with their own full bath in the main house, as well as another large bedroom with bath in the separate private in-law apartment). There's also a very nicely equipped (and stocked!) kitchen and a large, comfortable living room where everyone can hang out. *Everything* you need is there-- washer, dryer, iron, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, you-name-it! We also LOVED both of the decks, especially the large one at the back of the house (with a big picnic table, benches, chairs, and a great grill) that has a beautiful view of Hither Creek. The location is GREAT-- you're a stone's throw from Millie's and biking trails and only blocks from the beach (which has both a very calm, kid-friendly bay side as well as an ocean side for adult swimming and surfing). Bottom line-- it's a WONDERFUL house that you and your family (or you and a fair number of your friends!) will greatly enjoy. The other factor that made this such an amazing visit for us was the owner Frank. You will NOT find a more responsive, knowledgeable, kind and generous host-- we were visiting during hurricane Dorian and Frank made sure we were comfortable (very) and safe (absolutely). When we didn't have our bikes from home, Frank very generously let us use his family's bikes. We simply can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with Frankie's Starlight-- if you book this rental a fantastic visit awaits you!!

Incredible spot

Had a fantastic week here in this adorable home. The location cannot be beat- a short walk to Millie’s and Madaket beach (easy even for toddlers). We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets off the back porch and the peacefulness of the quiet neighborhood. We would love to stay here again in the future- our whole family absolutely fell in love with Madaket!

Great neighborhood! Couldn't access Madaket beach due to erosion but found another close by. Had a few obstacles as first guests of the season but all was resolved given good communication with Frankie Starlight! You will enjoy it😊

Fantastic and Beautiful Week

First I want to thank Francis for being so helping and inviting the whole week we were staying at his home. I had trouble working the door at first but Francis immediately helped us out. He also gave us many places to visit and check out while on the island. He made an amazing week even better. The home is situated on a very quiet end of the island. The beach was calm and allowed us to enjoy the beautiful weather with almost no one around. The drive from the airport and the main city is super easy so we would go to dinner downtown every day with exception of two days where we grilled out. The main home has a main common area and two bedrooms and bathrooms at either end, perfect for a family. The back deck overlooks the bay and is perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink. We will definitely come back and will certainly hope this home is available when we do. We highly recommend this to anyone traveling to the perfect island of Nantucket.
