Charmant cottage 2 BR / 2BTH Topanga Canyon

Cette maison au sommet d'une colline avec vue sur le canyon à l'avant et à l'arrière reflète mon amour de l'art original, des voyages et du plein air. Nous sommes uniques par notre emplacement, notre intimité et notre ambiance. Contrairement à de nombreuses maisons Canyon, nous recevons beaucoup de soleil, littéralement de l'aube au crépuscule. Les anciens clients ont commenté que le meilleur moment pour profiter de la maison était au coucher du soleil, accroché sur le pont, laissant la journée se détendre. Nous aimons également faire partie d'une communauté d'esprit indépendante qui apprécie sa relation avec la nature et la vie privée.

We had a lovely stay at Mary's quaint cottage in Topanga Canyon. The space was spotless and well-kept, with stunning views that made mornings unforgettable. The peaceful setting was perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing, quiet getaway.

Relaxing

We enjoyed this bungalow! It is set high up in the hills with stunning views! Lots of places to sit and relax. The property is full of plants and fun worldly decor. Mary was very easy to reach if needed as well. Such a beautiful place and just what we needed to get away from the desert heat.

This is a beautiful home and Mary is a lovely host. My favorite part of the visit was the multiple outdoor spaces where we spent mornings and evenings gazing at the views of the canyons.

Fantastic stay in beautiful location.

We had a wonderful time on a friend’s trip to LA and staying in Mary’s home. The home itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable and set in the most amazing backdrop of the canyon. While it was a wet weekend, we took advantage of Mary’s recommendations for food and really appreciate her sending us her sharing them with us. Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing and great outdoors

This was the second time we stayed at the property and it was even better this time. We were able to hike, go for a short 15 min drive to the beach, and just relax on the great porch. This property feels very remote, but is close to cafes, stores, and a short drive from lots of city amenities.

Great cottage in a beautiful location

My husband, myself and another couple stayed for 3 nights and we all loved it. The house has a charming atmosphere and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. The views of Topanga Canyon from the house are breathtaking and you would never know you were in LA. We would definitely stay here again. Mary was extremely responsive to all of our communication and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

Mary’s home is the perfect balance of being in nature and still close to city amenities. All of the outdoor seating and lounging areas were great for reading under the trees, swinging in the hammock, or getting sun on the deck. I would (and have) recommend this property to anyone that wants to experience Topanga Canyon.

We absolutely loved this VRBO. The outside area is just gorgeous and the views are incredible. Had some hummingbirds visit us several times on the deck. It was comfortable and it was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom items. This host is super friendly. We enjoyed our communication with her.

Topanga gem

We love this place. This was our second stay. The deck with great furniture, view and fun lighting is always a nice end to the day. Topanga offers grocery stores, shops and restaurants and is an easy trip to the beach, Santa Monica and Malibu. Mary is only a text away if needed, but we had no issues and enjoyed our stay. Hope to go back again!

Really Beautiful

We came to visit some family and had a really nice time hiking and exploring the area around the property. The view of the canyons from all angles of the home was gorgeous and picturesque. Would recommended bringing detergent if you're looking to use the washer/dryer but the home had most things that we needed. Clean for the most part except for the shower curtains that we sprayed some cleaner on for mold.

Hi Audris.... Thank you for your review. I know you came all the way from New York to enjoy some Topanga time. Apologies for the lack of detergent and perhaps "mold" on the shower curtains. As I mentioned to you, we were out of town and the property was consigned to housekeepers and friends for management. Perhaps you'll return when we can be attentive to important details.

As advertised and more

What an amazing way to get closer to nature. We only live 6 miles from this house, but it made us feel like we were a million miles away which is exactly what we were looking for. The inside of the house is great, but we spent most of the time outside enjoying the views and seeing and hearing the birds chirpping. The outside deck is great. Whether you are coming from near or far, this is a great place to disconnect and get back to reality.

Spectacular Stay!

Such a treat to stay in this wonderfully peaceful haven on top of your very own hill! 360 degree views of the canyon. Superb sunrises, sunsets and stargazing. Mary is an awesome host and was very available to answer questions. Mary’s home is so thoughtfully decorated and extremely well equipped. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, gadgets, knives, dishes… everything you need to cook great meals, just bring your groceries…or have them Instacarted! Charming, functional canyon house (but a bit dated)

The most important thing is that we all slept very well in this top of the canyon house. It's small but it easily fit the 4 of us. The furniture and the AC systems are a bit dated, but they work. Beds are comfortable. The location is super quiet, which we liked a lot. The road to the house is steep. You park at the front of the house in a street that is too narrow to u-turn so you have to backup until you get to a neighbor's driveway to turn the car around. Communication with the owner was easy and smooth.
