Our 1926 cottage is a secret Zen retreat! It is nestled in the hills below Topanga and surrounded by sounds of nature & lovely views. Every guest seems to find a spot to fall in love with! Retreat offers a spacious cafe style lit deck with amazing views, succulent garden, gorgeous deck off main suite w/ vast views, a calming study to read in & a tranquil meditation style loft. The newly renovated kitchen creates an amazing culinary experience. Steps away from hiking trails & minutes from PCH.

Natural light filled rooms inspire our guests to open the windows, turn on music and be in the moment. Fabulous windows throughout the cottage create such a perfect energy.

Three bedrooms all with a Zen vibe, a peaceful study & office space, cozy living room and chefs kitchen are what make up your unique stay at the cottage. It is a space of respite, calm, reset and sweet reminders of being in the moment.

Make yourself a morning coffee at the cafe bar, enjoy the sounds of birds chirping on the deck and head out to start your day off right. Whether its hiking, biking, going to the beach, shopping, eating some of the best food, or relaxing... it is all just minutes from the treehouse.

Our little cottage is the recipe for a perfect start to the day. The treehouse is centrally located to amazing restaurants, boutique shopping, endless hiking trails and beaches.

Upon your return to the treehouse, the decks are the perfect place to enjoy golden hour with your loved ones. Sip on a glass of wine, under the cafe lights, as the breeze fills the air and good conversation fills your soul. Evenings under the stars become the most memorable ones.

Pre wedding home base for son’s wedding

The inside was immaculate and had a very spa like vibe. Aptly named Zen treehouse it was a really cozy and quiet environment. Outdoor space was also wonderful with several areas to sit and chill enjoy the views. Instructions for check in were clear, kitchen very well appointed great to have gas grill as well. Great to have the carport as well

Just wow.

This is our second stay at the Zen Treehouse. I actually don't want to write this review, because I want to book this spot for every time I visit L.A.. AJ has thought of literally everything to make the stay easy and relaxing--- including the kitchen being fully stocked. What else can I say... the furniture is plush, the outdoor spots are bathed in sun, with birds chirping, and beautiful views. She was warm and responsive when I called with questions. Relax and enjoy!

Tranquil LA spot

At the end of a Californian road trip this was a perfect base for a few LA days before heading home. The house is very peaceful and immaculate, in a lovely neighbourhood.

Everything was perfect. Perfect host, excellent communication, great home and location. A bonus for us was a dirt road above the house that extended through the hills with exceptional views of the cities below and the mountains. Thank you, AJ!

Charm and Relaxation

This August, my family stayed for about a week at AJ's Zen Treehouse Retreat. It was ridiculously charming and full of small touches that made it easy to enjoy ourselves. Stocked with every kitchen gadget you can imagine, a sweet gift bag, and a gorgeous deck, we spent time reading, taking in the views, and exploring the area. Highly recommended.

This space was truly beautiful. Absolutely dreamy. I wasn't to be in the hills but was still a plus. The view was stunning and i would wake up every morning just to watch yhe sunrise. I was not ready to check out.

The Zen Treehouse is truly a great place to stay and is accurately represented in the photos. I highly recommend this property for folks who don't mind a few stairs. AJ your host is very responsive and goes the extra mile to welcome you to her home.

Love this property!

The Zen Treehouse is well stocked, well designed and in a lovely location. I brought my Mom for a Mother Daughter weekend and to attend a wedding in Augora Hills. What a perfect location! Very comfortable beds, relaxing rooms and beautiful outdoor patio - very peaceful. AJ was very responsive and helpful - we felt well taken care of!

AJs home ( tree house) is a slice of heaven, everything you want in her home is there. From the comfy beds to the outside patio heater the succulent garden is amazing. When in LA we will stay here again

Perfect California Hide-Away

We stayed here for 5 nights on a mother-daughter trip to LA and absolutely loved it. Beautifully decorated, just as pictures show. Multiple outdoor sitting spaces to enjoy the California weather with a book or with a glass of wine and conversation. AJ was super responsive and very welcoming. Zero complaints - would absolutely stay here on next trip to LA.

Quiet oasis above the fray.

We enjoyed the quietude and tree canopy views; loved working in the kitchen (well-outfitted!) and lounging around in the living room; the interior design brought the house together and made it easy to appreciate natural light. It was easy to get to parks, the beach, the Getty Center and Broad Museums - great location for seeing local sights.

Peaceful experience

From the moment you step up into the garden, you are literally transformed. The place is incredibly clean, incredibly peaceful and all your needs are carefully thought out. We had a great experience for the few days that were there. Plus, awesome water pressure, a bidet, wonderful art and an all around calming and relaxing atmosphere.

The tiniest of details are attended to at this beautiful home. It’s like you walked yourself right into the pages of a magazine. THE TREEHOUSE

This is one of the best VRBO places we have ever rented. The home was perfect! It’s very relaxing and beautifully decorated. It has everything you would ever need to make a great meal and two amazing locations to eat your meal with your family. The outdoors was a great place to sit at night and enjoy a glass of wine, listen to music and look at the stars. Also AJ the SUPERHOST was wonderful to work with😊

Treehouse a cycling paradise

Clean, very well equipped house. It has everything you need! Appliances, furniture, kitchen all top line and new. Loved sitting out on the deck. Definitely some stairs getting to the house but worth it for the views and calming nature of the area. Owner very responsive. Beautiful area to explore.

Absolutely stunning!

This is a designers dream- think designer Amber Lewis and you will get the feel. Roomy and cozy, everything is high end and located in one of Woodland Hills most desirable neighborhoods. Don’t look any further - you will not be disappointed and AJ is great!

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I am an Angelino through and through. I strongly believe in surrounding myself with beautiful spaces and creating special memories with my family and friends. Whether it is traveling the world, skiing 70-100 days a year, exercising often, raising my 2 daughters...I do my very best to make each day count.

I get such joy from hosting people at my property. I love connecting with guests from all around the world. I take such pride in providing a memorable experience to all who walk through the door of this special retreat.
