Right across from Town Beach, front balcony overlooking Town Beach. Three bedrooms back two bedrooms had a balcony overlooking The wonderful Port City Bowling Club tennis courts. Easy walk through the back to the Club. I think the only disappointing aspect was the oven was not clean and for two bathrooms we used for the shower but not the toilet. Weird set up in front bedroom ensuite, spa bath shower and toilet just had clear glass as walls. No privacy to go to loo. Otherwise lovely stay.

From the key collection to the checkout this place was a disaster. Unclean / tardy and just a dud. Great location and the other units are no doubt better value.

Great property and location but honestly please replace the double bed it’s disgusting you can actually feel the springs and it smells, the property could do with a freshen up, the carpets old and smelly and the bedding is the same, please freshen it up a bit.

Picking up keys from agent was simple process however would have been helpful if a list of instructions on entry to underground carpark and how to use buttons on remote to open.Overall good clean property recommended.

Great View and That's All

The pros are, the unit is spacious and has great views from both balconies and the staff at Elders provided a seamless check-in process with all the required info available. The cons are, the unit is poorly maintained and equipped. Being located on a main road the eastern balcony, bedroom, and living areas are subjected to significant road noise. You'll need to take everything you need as not even the basics are supplied. No salt, pepper, sugar, etc. You will also need to factor in the cost and hassle of hiring linen the making beds on arrival.

The view from the unit is beautiful. We have been coming to this unit for a number of years now (over 10 years). Unfortunately the furniture on the balcony has not been updated in all of these years, and every year we come the rust on the chairs is worse. You can not sit on the chairs. We have previously stained out towels with the rust from the chairs. We ended up buying 5 plastic chairs, so we could actually enjoy sitting on the balcony. We have left the chairs there, so that others can enjoy. Also when we arrived, there was only 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper (for 5 people).

Unit has been better days but was roomy and comfortable. Considering the $260 cleaning fee we paid, the cleaning did not come up to scratch with dirty mats thrown in corner, dead pot plant on balcony, coffee stained coffee cups, gritty, foot marked balcony floor. Hard to find parking only found it because Sandcastle manager being there to show us where to go. Elders only gave us half the parking instructions. Manager told us they have been asking Elders to give full information for 19 years still are not doing it.

My mother and I really enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing looking out over Town Beach and the ocean beyond! I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and having a cuppa or a drink. The beds are super comfortable, We had great night's sleep! The only suggestions I have is if you could supply tea and coffee and condiments like oil, salt and pepper some tomato sauce would be good as you pay enough to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent apartment and location. There should have been extra toilet paper, salt, pepper, sugar and tea and coffee. The balconies could have been a lot cleaner.The double bed mattress needs to be replaced it is way past its use by date. You can feel every spring in the mattress.Also we received no details how to access the property and had to ring the after hours number. There should be information provided when you book the property that you need to provide sheets, towels and tea towels.
