We’re sorry some aspects didn’t meet your expectations. Blue Jay is intentionally a quaint, rustic cottage, and the lower lighting around the large soaking tub is meant to create a warm, romantic atmosphere. We understand, though, how the lighting could have given a different impression of the tub, and we appreciate you mentioning it. We’ll also address the damage to the inside of the front door. We especially apologize for the confusion about stripping the bed and taking out the trash. We do not require guests to do either, so we’re unsure where those instructions appeared and will look into it. Thank you again for your candid feedback. We want Blue Jay Cottage to be a charming, comfortable extension of your visit to Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards.

Thank you for staying with us for Valentine’s and for letting us know about the A/C and heater issue. I’m sorry to hear you weren’t able to shut it off at the main unit; that’s certainly not the experience we want for our guests.
