This property was very quaint. It is very convenient to the Marginal Way and Perkins Cove. We had a lovely stay here and the owner couldn't have been more helpful or accessible. I'd definitely recommend it!
What an amazing time! The location of the property is perfectâŠ.close to everything without being in the middle of it all. Perkins Cove, Marginal Way, OMAA and great restaurants are all a short walk away. We canât thank Tessa and John enough. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Quaint home built in 1920âs with many upgrades. Walking distance to Perkins Cove. sleeps 9. Only suggestion would to remove the full bed and replace it with a queen or king bed
Charming historic home with an updated kitchen and a large porch to sit and enjoy peaceful surroundings. The owners were wonderful; very responsive and helpful as this was our first trip to the area. The proximity to Perkins Cove was one of our favorite things about our stay. So picturesque with great seafood and cute shops. Marginal Way, a paved walk along the ocean, is also a must. Ogunquit Beach is beautiful and clean. Being as lovely as it is, itâs no surprise that it is also very popular! Parking was a bit of a challenge. Also, Ogunquit has one big intersection that doesnât have any traffic control signage and takes a bit of time and patience to get through. This makes it difficult to get to anything north of the town as well. We took the commuter rail from Newburyport to Boston for the day which was nice to avoid driving/parking in downtown Boston.
Overall very enjoyable stay and a successful first trip to New England from WI!
We really enjoyed our stay. This was our first trip to Perkins Cove & Ogunquit. We enjoyed the solitude this house offers in addition to it being within easy walking distance of the foot bridge to Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way, and Ogunquit. We found this old home to be charming, and Tessa and John were great hosts. The first day we heard a smoke detector low battery beeping in the attic and John came right over to replace the battery. If we come back to Perkins Cove, we would have no hesitation staying here again. Highlights of our trip were the Puffin & Whale watch out of Boothbay Harbor, Ogunquit Beach, Coastal Maine Botanical Garden, visiting many lighthouses and eating at local restaurants.
As a family we enjoyed the space and especially the large porch.
The beds were clean and comfortable. We found that the kitchen cabinets and bureau drawers needed to be aired out as they seem musty. Coming back from Perkins Cove via the trolley at night to finding our way up the hill heading toward our house was too dark.
This house will be wonderful in the future, but as it now stands, it is a work in progress. RICK WAS A WONDERFUL HOST!
We had a great vacation! the property is central to everything and within walking distance of Perkins Cove and beaches. The house is immaculate and quiet at night. Thanks Rick for stopping by and sharing the history of your home with us!
We had a very nice time staying in the house, charming home with character! Beautiful large porch, perfect for relaxing and drinking coffee in the morning! ! Loved our vacation,

If you want a quaint cottage in Maine, within walking distance of shops and dining, this is it
Great location, plenty of parking attentive local owners who were available if we needed them. Five adults, four children and they had plenty of space !
