Ce gai chalet offre un lit queen size et un canapĂ©-lit pour accueillir jusqu'Ă  une famille de 4 personnes et une kitchenette Ă©quipĂ©e. Vous pouvez entendre les sons apaisants de l'ocĂ©an depuis vos fenĂȘtres! Une courte promenade jusqu'Ă  la longue Ă©tendue de sept miles de large plage de sable fin et avec la jetĂ©e et la bande principale juste au coin. L'endroit est juste assez loin de l'action pour ne pas dĂ©ranger, mais assez proche pour marcher facilement.

Coin cuisine entiÚrement équipé avec micro-ondes, grille-pain, cafetiÚre, ustensiles de cuisine et repas. Réfrigérateur et cuisiniÚre de la taille d'une kitchenette. Parfait pour une escapade en famille.

Le coin salon est recouvert de moquette, un canapé-lit pour un espace de couchage supplémentaire, une télévision connectée pour diffuser vos comptes Netflix / Prime / Hulu et beaucoup de soleil.

La chambre a un lit queen size, un placard et une commode, table de nuit avec un réveil.

My husband, our dog, and I stayed here for a short weekend trip.We were celebrating our anniversary. We enjoyed ourselves. Very nice area and a lovely rental. I highly recommend this spot, definitely coming back. Close to restaurants and shops.

The house was great! Overall a 5/5 or . Check in was easy- I love the programmable key pads. The house was clean, airy, comfortable. Communication with the hosts was easy. My only 3 comments:1) From the provided pics and the listing, it was hard to tell the rental was attached to another residence. I was looking specifically for a stand-alone rental so if my dogs barked, they wouldn’t annoy anyone. They were quiet to my knowledge, and there were no issues with the tenant on the other side, I just wish it was more clearly communicated in the listing. 2) the backyard is very small and butts up against a business parking lot. It served its purpose, just know it’s a small yard.3) the stairs leading upstairs are steeper and the steps are narrower than standard contemporary homes. The carpet on them is also very slippery. My barefoot slipped off a step as I was coming down to the landing and I fell about 4-5 steps wrenching my back, hit my knee, and overextended my wrist. I’m ok but for someone less sure-footed, older, etc. it could be dangerous. I think a grippy type runner and a mat at the bottom that won’t slide around would help.
We did use the red comforter to cover the couch, this picture was taken as we were packing up the car! The dogs very much liked their stay as well â˜șïžđŸŸ

Wonderful little cottage! Great location. Could be 5 stars but when we checked in the shower had a massive stain in the bathroom. After scrubbing we were able to get rid of it but I’m guessing the cleaner never cleaned the bathroom and other appliances around the house such a the shower vent and AC. For a late check in and early check out time I expect the a cleaner cottage.
Dust and dirt all over the AC
Tons of dust and dirt in the shower fan.
Stain in the bathroom when we checked in.
After an hour of scrubbing the stain was removed.

Chris and Sue’s place is clean and quiet, a short walk to the beach, and best of all, it’s dog-friendly! We returned in 2025 after a great experience the year before.Dog bed and elevated food dishes were a nice touch. Loved taking our pup to the beach in the evenings, and down the road a few miles to Bayview Beach which allows dogs all day!Bathroom was very clean, with white towels provided for guest use. The tub with flexible shower head made rinsing off paws - and our kid - at the end of a beach day a breeze. (If you bathe your dog, be a kind guest and bring a dog towel and a pet hair catcher for the drain!) An in-unit washer/dryer kept our beach laundry clean and ready for the next day and gave the option to head home with clean clothes at the end of our trip.Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Both fridge and freezer were equipped with thermometers.Living space was comfortable, with air conditioning units downstairs and up. We had a hot week and the place stayed cool. Backyard was quiet, and a safe place to store our bicycles locked together.We traveled with our elementary schooler who isn’t quite ready to sleep downstairs on the sofa bed alone. The bedroom had space for our brought-from-home twin-sized air mattress to go alongside the bed.Chris and Sue were great hosts - we had some questions about the area the first year we stayed in OOB and Chris answered several messages quickly with lots of information and recommendations.

Very nice property to stay at in Old Orchard Beach! It’s a very quiet neighborhood with a fully enclosed backyard, which was nice for my dog. It’s only a 15 minute walk to the beach, which is very convenient as well. Only thing that I would have liked was to have access to regular cable on the tv, since I couldn’t watch NESN with Roku. But still would give this place 5 stars! We had a lovely time. 😊

My stay at the cottage was exactly what I needed, it’s an updated beachy vibe and excellent use of every space including some rainy day puzzles and books! The small fenced in yard was perfect for the furry family members, and you cant beat the location, such a close walk to the beach, and just far enough away from the busy OOB hustle! Would definitely stay again!

A Quiet Corner of Old Orchard Beach

This is a clean, well-maintained rental in a residential neighborhood, with a dedicated parking spot and fenced backyard area. There were ring-style cameras at the front and back entrances and secure locks on the doors The rental is located in a residential area, less than a 10 minute walk downhill to the beach. There is easy and reasonably-priced parking in the downtown area if you choose to drive, and there is also a trolley with a nearby stop. When we invariably locked ourselves out Chris was quick to respond via the Vrbo app. He touched base with us soon after booking, and several times before, during, and after our stay. All of the interactions were very friendly. Chris went out of his way to share some information about places for our family to ride bicycles (bring yours if you can, we definitely enjoyed having them!) and where to safely store them. The unit was well-cooled with air conditioning units both upstairs and down. As other reviewers have mentioned, the stairs to the bedroom are steep and slippery - be sure to not take the stairs in socks! If you’re traveling in a group, be aware there is no door to the bedroom area upstairs. This was a pet-friendly rental but it is preferred that pets stay off furniture/beds - be sure to bring your crate for when you head out and a sheet or blanket to keep things fur-free! Our family of two adults, a first-grader, and a small dog enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent from Chris and Sue again.

Hi,

My name is Chris and I'm a Maine native born in Portland and grew up in Gorham, ME not too far from OOB. My wife, Sue, is from NH, but is fast becoming a big fan of Maine. We're pretty easy going and love sharing the great state of Maine with newcomers, especially those who have never been here before!

In our spare time we spend a lot of time with family and friends and love finding new adventures. Some of our favorite past times are enjoying the outdoors when it is warm, playing cribbage or taking our beloved Teddy to woods where he leaps like a gazelle with glee over brush and trees, or to the beach where he would give a greyhound a run for his money for hours!

I built houses with my dad when I was a kid. A handful of them were on Chebeague Island where we would stay in a tent often while we were putting up the frame out there. I learned a lot from him on how to do much of the work, so most of the place has been refurbished by myself, a layer of Sue's great eye for decorating, and some pros sprinkled in to try to make this place the best it possibly can offer.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I found this hidden gem back in 2017. The street is quiet, the neighbors are great, and there is so much to do in the area from the beach and pier, to the quick drive up to Portland, or down to Kittery. OOB is about as centrally located as you can get for the southern Maine coastline.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

When I found this place it had solid bones, but needed some serious TLC and I saw a lot of potential in it. It has taken me many years to refurbish this place to its former glory after what looked like a couple decades of neglect. I wanted to keep some of the OOB summer campish feel with the kitchen while balancing it with an ocean side, warm home feel.
