I really enjoyed this property! It was as billed. The neighborhood was nice and felt safe for myself and daughter. The restaurants near by like Honeymoon chicken and Timber pizza were great. Relatively short drives to points of interest and always street parking in front. It was inviting from the street.
We enjoyed our stay in this house! The neighborhood was pretty quiet and we had everything we needed in the house. It was easy to catch buses to the National Mall.
We had a great stay at Tyrone's place in DC. The house is clean, roomy and bright with a large outdoor deck with four tricyles, perfect for my my twin granddaughters (age 5). Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc. in the kitchen, more towels than we needed, nice front porch with comfy chairs and room for both our cars in the locked parking area. We very much appreciated Tyrone's flexibility for a late checkout when we had a minor emergency on the morning of our last day.
Nice clean place to stay while visiting DC. Short drive to metro. Be sure to get to the metro before rush hour to get a parking space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. Walmart is a short drive away to get groceries. It was very nice to be able to have the parking space behind the unit, as the spaces in front filled up quickly. My biggest complaint is that we couldnât get the temperature of the home to go below 73 degrees even after contacting the owner. If you are a hot sleeper, it makes it harder to get a good nightâs rest. Other than that, it is a great place to stay.
Great location and neighborhood-the property was clean and well organized. Property manager is hands off. We had one small problem and property manager resolved quickly. Subway and shopping are close. Great time had at the perfect property. Thank you.
we had a good time to start our trips around DC. The location is perfect to use the metro or buses. There are parking lots in front of the houses for your car as well (parking was no problem at all). The apartment could need some renovations, but in total we felt comfortable during our stay.
This was a perfect place to stay for a visit to DC. The metro was a 15 minute walk and was easy to take into the city. The house was clean and comfortable. It was a great place to come back and relax after a day of a lot of walking. Tyrone was a great host!
We had a great stay in DC. The house was very comfortable and very clean. We drove into the city and took the metro (parked at Fort Totten). Fun dinners at Oohh & Aahh and Timber pizza. Would definitely recommend to others.
The house was very roomy and well furnished. Beds were comfy and the air conditioning kept the place very comfortable (t was very hot during our stay). Access to the metro was close and the super walmart, which was very near to the metro as well, made it easy to get cheap groceries and staples. We would definitely stay again!
Wonderful place. The floors are a little bit noisy. And the pillows were worn/flat no fluff at all. There were nails in the locked driveway.
But again it was a great place.
We really enjoyed this property, perfect for a family.Good friendly neighborhood; neighbors sit out on the front porch and chat.
Ony drawback, no washer and dryer.
If you don't have a car, mediocre supermarket is walking distance; however, it does have fresh fish and seafood!
Perfect location for using public transportation, a close easy bus ride to the Smithsonian.
Highly recommend!
We had a great time in DC. The townhouse is very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything you might need. The owner responded to all of our questions promptly and was very helpful.
There is a small grocery store at the end of the street with very friendly staff. The small Mexican restaurant next door to the grocery store is not to be missed. The food and service were excellent.
Metro is an easy, safe walk and a great way to get into downtown.
Would 100% recommend this VRBO!
Clean, comfortable, and roomy. A bit of a walk to catch the metro. Quick response from Tyrone with any Q's. Appreciated coffee and bottled water. Would have liked to have some bath soaps.
Itâs located in a quiet neighborhood and is a nicely appointed house with convenient access to downtown DC. The place could use table lamps in the living room and bedrooms. The larger bedroom needs another nightstand. There were no wine glasses. Could also use larger coffee mugs. Suggest the listing include that there is a washer and dryer (which was much appreciated!). We enjoyed our stay!
The property was clean, beds were comfortable, and pictures were relatively accurate. Plenty of fresh towels and bottled water were a nice touch.
Property is a nearly complete renovation, emphasis on nearly. There were several small things not in working order, holes where lights hadn't been installed, non functioning drains for the tubs, a broken spindle on the banister, and a problem with the deadbolt.
Other issue was the couches. They were very uncomfortable.
With new couches, upgraded bedding, and completed repairs the house would be a good rental.
Tyrone's property was easy to find with GoogleMaps and street parking was available when we were there (we just had one car). The house was very clean and was just as it is pictured. It was actually more spacious than I expected for being in the city. There isn't much decor, but for me that's a plus since it's less that could get broken (something you think about as a mom). It's also nice to have it simple and relaxing on vacation.
The kitchen was well stocked for most meal prep and the 6 person dining table is also great for families.
The neighborhood was also nice and surprisingly quite for being in the city.
We rented the property to do some sightseeing and museums with our kids; it was nice to be just a few minutes drive from a metro station with parking (Fort Totten).
We didn't have any questions before the trip. Tyrone sent us a message with check in instructions and we didn't have any reason to contact him while we were there.
We would definitely stay at Tyrone's place again.
To start it is in a seemingly good neighborhood. The neighbors were all friendly and talkative. There is a front porch as well as a back porch, both with comfortable seating and shade. The front porch has a fan above to add a nice breeze.
Within walking distance are bus stops and a main train hub. We solely relied on the public transportation, which was easy to navigate. You can either buy transport cards or do a virtual card via an app.
The host was very quick to answer any questions we had (all of ours were silly little questions, and we had no urgent matters or problems during our stay). He was very polite to interact with each time.
The home was clean and supplied with all materials you'd need for a short stay. Towels, TP, & kitchen necessities are provided. The host supplied a fridge full of cold waters (much appreciated on 90* days!). There are 2 couches and a chair for seating, as well as TV if you're staying in. There were ample channels offered.
The 3 bedrooms were big enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. I will say the mattresses are on the firm side. I personally do not like firm, however my husband does and loved it. If you have a sensitive back, you may want to bring a topper for comfort. This shouldn't be held against the owner as everyone has their own preferences.
Check in and out was simple. We encountered no problems with either.
We would stay here again if we ever returned to the area.
