Family relaxing time
Great experience in this beautiful cabin, closed enough to the main attractions, We loved that after spending some time walking around the crowds we could go back to a NICE QUITE PLACE, and a killer sunset VIEW!!!
Definitely a place we will come back to, that I would recommend to friends and family.
There were 2 things that made my experience go from excellent to great, 1) driving garbage to the dump, it is not a BIG deal to do this, just that I’d never had to do that before in a rental place. 2) As stated on one of the notes: to leave the cabin clean the same way you found it, except for the towels and linens, I wondered then what’s the cleaning fee for?.
But like I said before we will be back some day!!!
Pretty and clean, but not for us.
The cabin was very nice. It is clean and well decorated. Owners are very pleasant and responsive. You know they say different strokes for different folks. Well, this place has tons of great reviews and I see why but, this place was just not for us. It is WAY up a steep curvy hill (yes I know it's the mountains), but I did not care for that. Also, we lost power and water for most of our second day (not the fault of owners) just bad luck for us I guess, also the internet was very weak and we had to use most of our data plan while staying. So it's for these reasons I would probably not return. Very pretty cabin, very clean, but it had rules like carrying down your own trash at check out and just seemed overly inconvenient. Between going without power, water, and carrying down our own trash our restful relaxing cabin getaway seemed like more work than it was worth.
Thank so much for choosing Moonbeams & Star Dreams Cabin for your Smoky Mountain vacation.
I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do understand everyone has different ideas and expectations when it comes to the roads leading to thier cabins. With that being said, we have had very few, if any complaints about the road leading to Moonbeams & Star Dreams. We do list this cabin as trailer friendly and do have regular guests which drive thier trailers, carrying classic cars for the car shows every year.
Unfortunately during your stay we had heavy rains with major flooding, rock slides which caused fatalities, road closures, and power outages all over Sevier County. As you realize, this was beyond our control. Your power, water and internet was out from 3:32 pm to 8:34pm. Although this may have seemed like a long time, it was only 5 hours and not the majority of your 2nd day.
We have problems with bears in your area and have chosen not to leave trash out because of the danges it poses for our guests and to help maintain the integrity and beauty of our property. Our guests are only asked and instructed to dispose of thier trash upon departure, not every day during their stay.
It was a pleasure talking to you on the phone and would love to have you as our guests again.
Many blessings to you and your family.
This cabin is exactly as the pictures show. Absolutely beautiful and sparkling clean. The owner is very fun to talk to and very accommodating! We will be back! Thanks for lovely memories!
Beautiful cabin with beautiful views
We loved our stay at Moonbeams and Star Dreams. The cabin exceeded our expectations. Our kids loved the game room. My husband and I loved the seclusion while being only minutes away from town. We would definitely stay here again!
Terrific location and cabin
Loved our five night stay in the mountains. The cabin is just as described, very clean and well stocked. The view is terrific. Make sure you get up early to catch the sunrise. Anita was a wonderful host, calling the second day to make sure we were in good shape and happy with things. The road to the cabin is quite steep and windy, but not too big of a deal in the non-winter months. Just take it slow and you'll be fine.
