Overall, the house was amazing. Great views and very peaceful area. We were not impressed with the overall cleanliness. Lack of towels, toilet paper, and some areas didnât seem to have been cleaned for awhile. But it was a great size for the amount of people that we had with us.
The whole feel of the cabin was great. Best comfy couch for a crowd and most beautiful fireplace and great views from every window. We especially enjoyed having land to go on walks with toddlers and kids, and a big hot tub to relax in. Our daughters godparents are going to have baby#2 soon so our gift was a babymoon. Altogether we were a crowd of 4 adults, a 6 year old, and two 2 year olds. We had plenty of space to play and relax. Would def go again! The hosts were easy to get in touch with by vrbo app or text.
We had a lovely stay. Lots of space for the 12 people in our group to relax and visit. Everyone loved the hot tub and walking out in the trees. We were short of bath towels and had to use the hot tub towels for both bathing and the tub. This would have been no big deal if the washer and dryer had been available but since we only spent 3 nights they were locked up. So, wet towels it was for showers after the hot tub.
Otherwise, the stay was lovely.
We stayed at Jayson and Lisaâs cabin this past weekend and it was phenomenal! Everything was as advertised, the cabin was absolutely beautiful! We stayed for two nights and we just wish it would have been longer! From the hot tub, to the patio and fireplace, this cabin was great! All the linens were clean and nicely presented and the cabin was well stocked. The views here are also fantastic, especially in the morning at sunrise. We also did alot of cooking and grilling at the cabin during our stay and it made it feel even more like home! We are so happy we got to stay in this cabin for a weekend and plan to be back soon! Jayson and Lisa were great hosts, very easy to get in contact with as well!
Our group of young women loved staying here! It's a beautiful cabin with amazing views and so peaceful. We spent our days at Garden of the Gods, The Royal Gorge and Paradise cove.
We cooked all our meals and the cabin had everything we needed.
Tauna was so helpful with my questions and anything else we needed. Thank you for having us!
This property was a great place to stay. It was just my husband and I, but it would have fit our family of six and then some. I liked how it seemed remote, but we were just off a paved road. The house was well stocked and clean.
The house is off the beaten path, but not too far off pavement, which as someone who regularly stays in Florissant was a welcome sight! Caleb and Tauna were very responsive to questions, and the only concern we had was about how to lock a certain door which they answered very quickly as well. Highly recommend staying here!
Beautiful location and convenient to points of interest in several different directions from the cabin. Plenty of room for our extended family with grandchildren. Loved the Colorado ambience!
Our family of 9 with all ages all loved this property. It was perfect for our family! I love that it was far enough away to have complete privacy but close enough to drive to all the things. We did Colorado Springs, Canon City, and Copper Mountain. Also, it should be noted that this was the most stocked house I have ever stayed in. Thanks for the great memories!
We really enjoyed staying at your place. Great location to all that we wanted to do. We wished we could have stayed a little longer to be able to explore more of the area. Had a unexpected snow storm of 2 ft. the night before we were to leave and unsure for the following day. Owners told us not to worry and take our time and that they would get us out in a timely manner which they did and we were on our way once again. Thank you so very much.
This property far exceeded expectations. The property owners were polite and responsive. The location is incredible. Views of pikes peak from the property are amazing. This is the perfect mountain getaway with tons to do and experience. I definitely recommend for longer stays as well. Thanks Tuana and Caleb!
The place was cute! There was a leak from the shower on the top floor to the entry way area, which was a little concerning. We had some issues with the hot tub. Water level was very low and we couldnât find the shock that was supposed to be there. No tools for cleaning off ice from steps so a few people slipped. Luckily no one was severely injured. Firewood was limited and only had enough to burn for 2-3 hours one of the days we were there. We looked for more and manual said there was some under the house but we couldnât find any. Tried calling the owner to ask about these questions and he was at a game and hung up. We didnât try calling again. The space worked well for how many people we had (10) and overall I think everyone had a good time. Would have appreciated better communication, but didnât keep us from having a good stay.
Cabin is in a beautiful secluded area! Owner was SO responsive and VERY accommodating. I think the best I have ever dealt with. We had a blast and will definitely be back!
We wanted a last minute weekend to see fall foliage and were so happy to find this property! The cabin is gorgeous-plenty of space for two families to spread out and beautifully decorated. Lovely outdoor space and nearby areas to explore. The host was super responsive, as well!
Excellent place to stay! We enjoyed exploring the property and trips to Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek. Wish we had known about a very near spot called Paradise Cove before the last day. We will check that out next time. Jayson and Lisa are top notch with communication! We would absolutely choose this rental again next time we will be in the area.
Beautiful spacious home in the trees- private, quiet, peaceful.
The house is absolutely beautiful- All the wood inside, the incredible fireplace, loft etc and decor. The downstairs is perfect for kids and there is a very relaxing front and back porch with room to explore outside. The house was fully stocked with whatever we needed.
The owners were very easy to get ahold of, talk to and were so helpful.
Loved our stay, highly recommend it and would stay again.
This was a beautiful property. It was conveniently located between multiple activity options. We also loved hiking right around the cabin. The cabin is well maintained and very spacious. Our family loves it. We would definitely love to come back again. The owners were very responsive .
I have to start by saying we had a large family vacation during Xmas, Jayson and Lisa were AMAZING host!! Theyre very quick and responsive to any and all questions we may have. They have helped us with mailing gifts there and even helped us with a xmas tree. They were amazing and made our stay and experience so much better! The location of the cabin is awesome its nestled away and leaves you in awe with mountains all around you. Deer came up to our cabin. Plenty of places to sled around on the property. My father in law and I even climbed a small mountain right there in front of the cabin. We had plenty of activities planned the week we were there and one full day we stay in the cabin and didnt have any down time. There is so much to do! I definitely recommend that you stay here!!!
We had a great family weekend staying at this property. There was a bit of confusion that the house was listed as 5 bedrooms, instead of ether 4 it actually had, but the hosts were quick to work with us after an email. The cabin is beautiful, and our kids and grandkids all enjoyed the location and out time together.
The cabin was clean and very spacious for our family trip. There were 3 families staying and we had plenty of room to spread out. We very much enjoyed evenings in the hot tub. This is a great location that is central to many attractions. We had a great time exploring the fossil beds, the wolf sanctuary, Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds and the Cliff Dwellings. The owners were very responsive when we had questions. The driveway leading to the cabin is a bit steep and is not paved so there were ruts in the driveway we had to navigate. It was not a problem as we drove vans but could see where low profile vehicles may need to exercise extra caution. There is a family of prairie dogs living near the dumpster that our girls enjoyed watching for as we traveled to and from the cabin on our adventures. All in all it was a very peaceful and fun trip! This was a great cabin to spend our vacation in.
The home was way bigger than my wife and I needed, but we were fortunate enough to find this home. The fireplace, the bed, the hot tub, the peacefulness! Jayson was a wonderful host and answered our questions promptly. We felt welcomed and appreciated during our stay.
Caleb has lived in Colorado his entire life and is an avid adventurer. Caleb seems to do it all: rock climbing, water rafting, mountain biking, skiing, and more! Part of why he loves Colorado is that all of it is in our own yard and we can do things year round. Tauna moved to Colorado from Nashville and thoroughly loves the outdoors. She does a lot of the same activities as Caleb, but with a slower pace. Hiking is one of her favorite things to do in Colorado; another activity that can be done year round! Tauna and Caleb got married in May 2021 and have been enjoying sharing their favorite parts of Colorado with the guests they host.
This property is a true sanctuary. We love that it is so close to Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, Lake George and Breckenridge so there are limitless options and activities. Tauna's favorite part of visiting the cabins is enjoying the quiet of being away from the cities, and getting to see all of the stars at night! Many shooting stars have been seen up here! Caleb loves that we have so much land; f you don't want to drive you can just step outside and walk around the property and find something new! We love hearing the memories that are made up here. We have hosted weddings, family reunions, company retreats, and engagements. Every group we host has a special story that has been created here.
You will likely see at least 3 shooting stars each night if you look up for a short period of time. We are about 25 minutes from Woodland Park & Cripple Creek, 60 minutes from Colorado Springs, and 90 minutes to Breckenridge. There are so many trails around for hiking and exploring. Whether you are a vacationer looking to get away from the hustle of the city or somebody looking for a home base after a day exploring the state, this is the place for you!
