Loved this quaint cottage with a porch overlooking the water. Had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Trinidad is a very small town and some restaurants were not open as per their websites so were really glad we had a kitchen. Great place to get away from it all
What a treasure this cottage is! Walking distance to so many things-stores, food, water, trails, museum, and more!!!Steve was a fabulous host that answered all my questions and gave recommendations for local things to see/do.Cottage is comfortable and has a fabulous cottage charm.
Amazing location right in the heart of Trinidad. We loves that we could walk everywhere and had views of the ocean. Amazing find and amazing stay. We had an absolute blast!
We really enjjoyed our stay. The cottage was extremely comfortable and convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, beach, hiking trails, and anything else one might want. Clean, too!
Very clean, nice view, close to a small and beautiful beach, good access to Praire Creek Redwoods, good eating choices for a small town, quiet, and good amenities. Look forward to a return visit!
This is a great place to stay. Steve is the perfect host. Heâs very responsive and helpful. The property is beautiful and well maintained. And, the view is to die for. Short walk to anywhere you want to go. Make your reservation now!
The photos don't do justice to how charming this place feels in person. The home has been loved, you can tell, but not in a worn-out way by any means - rather, in a height-markers-on-the-doorframe way. We loved staying here. I really enjoyed getting to make fresh coffee or tea and sit on the front porch and watch the sea and feed the birds. Excellent location. Great amenities. Friendly, conscientious hosts. I highly recommend this stay.
Fantastic with everything the only thing I could see was we needed outlets to plug in our electronics cell phone watches and that was difficult. Most outlets had plugs in them. Other than that it was perfect thank you very much.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. We loved sitting on the porch, feeling a gentle breeze and watching the beautiful ocean. it was fun to have a fire in the wood stove, very comfortable (we have gone to a gas stove for ease and comfort in our primary residence). Thanks for making this special cottage available.
Loved everything about my stay there, clean and nice property. The owners really invested into making it a great experience. A nice touch, I had a complimentary piece of chocolate waiting in my bedroom. The property itself is nice, clean, and well-located within a walking distance from the beach. Fireplace in the living room! Strongly recommend.
My wife Jen and I had always dreamed of being able to live in Trinidad and then it finally happened. We both work at Cal Poly Humboldt and love to get outside as much as possible in Humboldt County. We live on this property and know this community and have been in this part of California for 30 years. I am originally from Carlsbad, CA and Jen is from Junction City, CA. I came to Humboldt for the small town experience and Jen came to the university for big city experience.
If you want to be in the heart of a small fishing village and be able to walk to the store, to the beach, or drive to any number of attractions, this is a great home base. The neighborhood is quiet, the neighbors are quiet and friendly, and you can do it all, or do nothing at all, and feel refreshed from your time in Trinidad.
This cottage has something to offer all year round with great views of the bay from the front room, a cozy wood stove, very comfortable accommodations, a nice yard to hang out in, and a handful of restaurants, wineries, art galleries, and a museum/library. The house is small and really geared for a couple although it can handle up to two adults and two kids under 12 if you are already accustomed to living in close quarters.
