We stayed here for our annual friends weekend and it was an amazing place. Super close to a the wineries and had everything we needed. Grace allowed us to check in early as well, which was amazing! We had a 3 hour trip so it was nice to get in early. Would definitely stay again!
The house is as described. It was perfect for our family get together. The owner was a pleasure yo deal with and we would definitely stay again. Thank you.
As advertised this rental is very basic. It suited the needs for our weekend stay very well. Our family had plenty of space to gather, chat, eat and play games. We found the rental clean.
Thank you so much for a quite and relaxing stay away from home! All was very clean, accurately described, and prefect for our stay for the NASCAR races! We will be checking for the stay next year! Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels! Grill worked prefect so we stayed in and enjoyed the porch for dinner and wine! Thank you again we highly recommend this spot!!
House is outdated and needs improvements. Beds were ok. Twin beds were squeaky. Exterior door was hard to lock. Owner communicated that itâs scheduled to be fixed. I understand mice issues but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that there would be mousetraps set in the kitchen. Deck was dirty. AC units worked fine. Does have Wi-Fi.
What can I say? From the moment I arrived for check in at the Monello Winery, I was greeted by Grace, the owner of both the winery and the rental property, with a smile and a free wine tasting plus a generous discount on all of her wines (which were delicious).
The rental property is located within walking distance of two great wineries (a literal stones throw!) and is a short drive from a handful of some the best wine the Finger Lakes has to offer.
The property itself is newly furnished and extremely well kept. Everyone in my party was very impressed. Grace was also readily available in case we ran into any issues.
All in all, the rental facilitated and added to a wonderful weekend in the Finger Lakes. I would 100% recommend staying here to anyone looking to have an amazing time!
Amazing location but dated and in need of some attention
The location is perfect for exploring the area however the property is in need of repair. The kitchen is dated and missing a cabinet door. There is an issue with mice that really needs addressed. We were sitting at the kitchen table and several mice ran around the kitchen. We understand as it's a wooded setting that is a possibility but we really had too many encounters with mice to feel comfortable with the stay.
Overall it was everything we needed when we went to Seneca for the Deck the Halls tour. A few things could be updated, and there is some deep cleaning that could be done, but nothing that would keep us from staying there again. Thank you!!
The house is spacious, with air conditioning and has large grounds. It is in a very quiet dead-end road. There is no access to the lake, but Pen Yan is only 10 minutes drive away. The house was clean and well equipped. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, spices, zip locks, kitchen roll etc. However, the house could do with some refurbishment: a new coat of paint, cleaning up and painting the deck, some comfortable, furniture on the deck and in the gardenâŠ. It does not really invite to spend a lot of time there. But we did enjoy staying there and using it as a base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area.
The house was perfect for the 6 of us. We went to have a weekend away from work and have some fun. We chose the perfect weekend weather wise, but we found out that Columbus Day weekend is the busiest weekend at the Finger Lakes during the fall season! The perks with that, however, were we just purchased wine at multiple wineries and hung out at the house and enjoyed them. The kitchen/living room was plenty roomy for us to eat together and play some fun games. Also perfect for Yoga! Two full bathrooms really made it convenient. We had a campfire both nights and the stars were amazing!
There were a few spiders both inside and outside, but it is a house in the woods, so we managed.
We didn't make a mess, but it was still nice to know we didn't have to scrub the whole place before checking out.
This property is exactly how it is described. Itâs a basic house, but absolutely perfect for the four of us adults. It has a nice big kitchen and living room. Bedroom are upstairs and downstairs and that was very nice. Itâs a great bargain and better than staying in a hotel. Would highly recommend this property and we will stay there again.
Very clean and great place to stay. Had everything you need and more for a getaway. Location was great and close to a lot of wineries and breweries. Grace was great with communication, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Base Camp for Visiting the Finger Lakes Region
Quiet and secluded area with quick access to Geneva and Penn Yan businesses. The property is well maintained and the owners are very courteous and helpful. They had a list of all the up coming events in the local towns while we were there and recommendations of things to do. The house was clean, properly supplied with furniture, linens and kitchen ware. Plenty of room for our family of 7. We look forward to our next visit.
The house itself is in good shape, has plenty of space, is clean, and is in a good location. But it could really use some additional furnishings. Only the downstairs bedroom is furnished properly. The large upstairs bedroom has a bed in the middle of the room and nothing else but a floor lamp. There is ample closet space, but not one dresser, night stand, or table lamp. The same goes for the bedroom with 2 single beds. The downstairs bathroom is set up with a shower head, but it doesn't work, so anyone using that bathroom has to take a bath. And one of the two heaters in the basement didn't work.
I think the main issue we had with the house is the kitchen, which had a minimum amount of pots, pans, and utensils. There were enough plates, silverware, and glasses, but not much in the way of gadgets or utensils. There was no detergent for the dishwasher, and the coffee filters did not fit the coffee pot. The house had enough bath towels, but not one kitchen towel. Also, the overhead square light in the kitchen didn't work, and needed new bulbs.
I think these things I mentioned could be easily taken care of by the owners, and it wouldn't be too expensive to do so. Just some attention to details that would make this house a lot nicer for a rental.
Grace's place was lovely and fully prepared for hosting a bigger group (8 people). She was amazingly quick to reply and we had no issues whatsoever with check in. A pleasure to book with and the place works perfectly
We were pleasantly surprised! We have rented several homes in wine country over the years. Grace's rental was spacious, extremely clean and perfectly located. We had a great time!
