Such a great place to stay out on the river! I have stayed at multiple locations on the river and this was my favorite.

This is a beautiful cabin with spacious rooms and a nice big upper deck to look out at the river. There is an outdoor fire pit and plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy company. The large dining table inside made for a great dinner with all our family at the table. A large picnic table outside was nice to have burgers and dogs the following day, again everyone at the same table. There were 7 of us and we are usually spread out to eat. We borrowed the two kayaks they had available and brought 3 of our own and a canoe to have an adventure together on the river, which was really fun as well. The home is open and cozy with plenty of room for everyone to hang out and cook or just talk and have a great time together. We would not hesitate to come back to this awesome place! The Hosts were helpful when we needed to find the boat dock and when we had other questions. This is a great place to escape! I would recommend this place for so many reasons. Another of the great things about it was the quiet. The only sounds are trees blowing in the wind and birds chirping. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. Thank you Julie and Buzz for sharing this wonderful place.

What a wonderful vacation! We missed our family reunion on the Suwannee for a couple of years at another location because the house was sold. Then we found the Malecot house…and what a find! What a wonderful place to kick back and relax! Fishing, boating, and just a short ride to the springs. And those sturgeon! Never saw so many jumping! We took a vote and this is our new yearly getaway for the family! Thank you Julie for your wonderful hosting and help! Blessings to you and yours from all of us!

One of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed. Our entire family enjoyed our visit. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. If you need a home to get away from your busy life - this is where you should go!

Great house, very friendly hosts, perfect location. We had a great time - the only thing that was unfortunate was the egg smell from the well water. :( I personally wasn’t able to shower because the smell was so strong. Others that came with us did; but if you are sensitive to strong smells, just be aware. Otherwise, great house - great trip!

We have several water filtration systems, including a water softener and use the salt that removes iron from the water. Hopefully, you did not let it ruin your time. we will look into the problem. We really enjoyed our stay at his beautiful property! The view was just amazing. It was quiet and relaxing which is exactly what we were looking for. We rarely heard anything other than cicadas and the belly flops of these huge fish we later found out were sturgeon. We fished right off the dock in the back yard which was nice even though we didn't catch anything. We did not go swimming in the river because there was a very cute and curious young alligator that showed up when we were fishing. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and stuff to cook with. The beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The property is on well water but we were informed of this prior to our stay so we brought water for cooking and drinking. We unfortunately had car problems but the host allowed us to stay a short period after our check out time in order for the mobile mechanic to finish fixing our rental car which was very kind of them and we appreciated it very much. This property is well worth the visit!

Property was fantastic. The dock has beautiful views of the stars at night. There is a slight sulfur smell to the water when you shower, but property more than compensates.
