Not as clean as we had hoped. All woodwork and all edges on doors etc very dirty as were the kitchen. Furniture on porch was either too cold to sit on or too hot. The layout was greatAnd great to have a porch

Yearly Girls Getaway

Cottages at Romar is a great place to stay. It is very pretty, quiet and convenient to restaurants and shopping. C3 was very clean, the beds were comfortable and communication with the owner was excellent. We are planning on renting C3 next year for our annual trip.

Great smaller property

We’ve stayed at this location (Cottages at Romar) several times but first time at this property. We had most of our family in one of the larger rentals; 6 of us stayed in this cottage. The location was great. We enjoyed having an upstairs and downstairs suite. Kids slept in the bunks.

Great Getaway

We try to get away for a couple of weeks each winter to escape the snow. This was our first trip to Orange Beach and we hope to go again. Leonard's communication from the time we booked until after our stay was great. Nice house in a nice beach house community!

Almost perfect

Really enjoyed our stay, the house had everything we needed, close to anything we wanted to do. Pool was fun & the close access to the beach was great. Having the beach nearby & the pool almost right outside the door was the best of both worlds. Really enjoyed the fireplace in the house on our chilly days, furniture could use a little upgrading but we still enjoyed the time inside when the weather didn't cooperate. Overall it was a great stay.

Quaint Cottage

I have stayed at Cottages at Romar before, but this was my first time in one of the smaller cottages. It was perfect for 4 adults there would have been plenty of room for other guests. The beach is just a few yards away and the pool area is awesome. There is no direct beach view, but the beach is just a few steps away. I would definitely stay in this cottage again.

Great location, Great House!

We had a great time staying at the cottages at romar. The house is in a great location and the walk is simple to the beach across the bridge. The house came with chairs, shovels for the kids, and buckets which was nice for finding some sea shells. Only downside was the fridge ice maker and water weren't working, along with microwave... but i'm sure the owner will get it fixed as we communicated about the issue and was very responsive.

Great house

It was a great house but there was no hot tub. It was listed 3 times that there was a hot tub. The pool was super cold the first three days and then finally they turned on the heat and it was swimmable. The beach was close and perfect. The upstairs shower wasn’t in working order it leaked into the kitchen if you used it

Leonard was quick to respond to a couple of maintenance needs on the day of check-in. We really enjoyed our stay. LOVED the pool, which is only steps away from the house. The house is really nice but could use a bit more attention to detail in being cleaned or needs to be deep cleaned a little more often. Under the sofa and under the beds didn’t look to have been touched in quite a while. This was only discover upon looking for lost toys for our grandson. I also found black mold when wiping around one area of the kitchen sink. We also found it odd that 3 of the 4 beds had black sheet sets rather than a lighter more beachy tone. Again, overall it was a great place to stay and owner was very responsive!

Wonderful stay

This was our fourth stay at the Cottages at Romar and our first at Victoria’s Secret Beach House. We love the cottages because of the easy beach access and kid-friendly pool. The public areas are well maintained and the beach here is hardly ever crowded. This particular property is now our new favorite at this location. It was the perfect size for our small family but you could easily fit two or three families comfortably. We were very pleased with the amenities available, such as well stocked kitchen supplies and beach chairs. I personally loved that there are hooks everywhere - a must at the beach. The only slight negatives are that the beds and chairs on the deck aren’t very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Great location

The house itself was nice,close to beach,restaurants,shopping and pool. The only problem we encountered was no fault of the owner of this listing but of others staying in the gated community. There was a group that had children between ages of 5-12 that were not well behaved nor watched. They made trips to the pool not very enjoyable. They also were not respectful of the area around the community leaving clothes, and trash laying about. Again this was hopefully and most likely a rare occurrence. Will most likely book again next trip to Orange Beach.

Excellent location

We loved this house - ideal for our family, 2 grandchildren ages 13 and 11; 4 adults. We loved the privacy with (2) bedrooms and (2) full size bathrooms upstairs leaving us grandparents in the downstairs bedroom with full bathroom to enjoy. There is also a bunk bed area upstairs. the washer and dryer is a tremendous help. We enjoyed the porch looking out toward the pool area, the grill and beach chairs to use. There is a half bathroom off of the kitchen which was nice and outdoor shower to wash off after going to the beach. The kids loved the Netflix available and internet worked like a charm. It is close to many restaurants and shopping Tanger Outlets in nearby Foley. The beach is a very short walk and the pool was just a few steps from the porch. Beaches were not crowded and their is a chair rental available as well. Gulf shores pier is short drive away and it is beautiful at sunset. There is a Walmart just minutes away to pick up grocery items. Be sure to sit at the gazebo looking at the beach front.

I am no longer welcome

Leonard, messaged me 2 weeks after my stay and said I was no longer welcome to stay at his house in orange beach. He accused me of a damaged patio table , but after I confronted him about it there was no damage…We actually left a day early and left EVERYTHING Just like we found it. I have stayed at 5 different homes here and had zero issues. Don’t worry Leonard I wont be staying at this property again.
